Exactly what it says on the tin!

Spotlessly clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Comfortable beds, comfortable sofas, selection of games, books and dvds (but also has a smart tv so you can sign into your own Netflix/amazon prime/Apple etc account). Good storage for clothes in the bedroooms and there is a hair dryer provided in the main bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped, has nice various sized drinking glasses and a couple of different sized cafetières to make fresh coffee. It has a good sized decent fridge/freezer which was essential as we had a heat wave! There is an outside tap to wash off your sandy feet/body boards/wet suits etc. There is a small enclosed garden to the front with a bench, small table and 2 chairs and a narrow yard at the back with a washing line. Two dog bowls are provided which was brilliant as I forgot to bring a second bowl for our dogs water. A shout out must go to the incredibly friendly and very lovely neighbours, thank you for making us feel so welcome. To address some points raised in other reviews that made me a little apprehensive before my visit: The shower is an electric shower and the pressure is fine (I read in another review that it wasn't and whilst it's not a power shower that blasts you out of the tub, it is perfectly ok and easily rinsed the shampoo out of my thick long hair). The only concern I have of the bathroom, which is for the owners sake really, is that there is not an extractor fan so the bathroom can get very steamy causing condensation, despite us having the window open. The curtains in the main bedroom block out the light but the curtains in the second bedroom are thinner so do not do so as well (but this didn't seem to bother/awake my teenage son!!!) The main road runs behind the bungalow but not directly by the property so the noise of any traffic was not an issue (and I am a very light sleeper). The directions to the property aren't great as despite being aware of the error other people have previously made, I was careful to follow the directions provided which led me to the wrong property. From Sarah's lane, you take the first left into Sarah's Close and then take the SECOND left down a longer driveway to Chiffchaff (no 5) which is tucked away almost out of sight from the road. I drive a large saloon car and was able to turn the car around in the drive space without difficulty. People have said the sofas aren't very comfortable but they really are and look great. Location wise, it is a short walk to Tesco which is a small but adequately stocked Tesco and has an outside cabin selling beach stuff during the summer season. It is a ten minute walk into the centre of Padstow and/or Camel trail which is a lovely walk with the view of the estuary. We stay in Padstow every year and have been doing so for the last 17 years. We've stayed in all sorts of properties and found this to be one of the most comfortable and clean holiday homes we've stayed in and would definitely stay again. Thank you so much.

It does require modernising, There were lots of cobwebs in corners.

A dead spider on top of the shower unit wouldn’t see unless in shower. I do agree that the settees aren’t very comfortable, shame there not the ones on the photos. But we still enjoyed staying there, this is our second year staying at the cottages, neighbours are friendly. Lovely selection of books and DVDs. So close to Tescos which is a bonus. Definitely stay there again hopefully next year. The drive is a little tight at top manoeuvring to turn the car around.

Lounge furniture was clearly newly replaced but not as comfortable as it looked, however the double bed was really comfy and that’s what matters after a hard day’s walk.

This property was well presented and spotlessly clean with every Kitchen appliance imaginable good TV and Wi-fi connection The shower water pressure was somewhat low but acceptable Someone even cut the grass while we were out excellent

Our second time staying at ChiffChaff and yet again it didn’t disappoint.

Very clean, all the facilities were excellent, washer, oven, heating, shower etc, location is great to walk into Padstow and a Tesco on the corner of the main road easily walked to if you need to stock up on anything. Having two small dogs with us the front garden was perfect for their needs and I appreciate you have to mow lawns when you can, but the only criticism was the grass was a bit long and could have been cut weather wise. Definitely staying at this cottage again if we to visit Cornwall for a third time. Thank you for the memories ChiffChaff, Louise, David, Foxy and Bertie.

Directions on Sykes not good needs looking into

Lovely bungalow, it’s in a need of refreshing, but it does the job.

The shower is very under powered, you need to stand right up against it. Kitchen has all the equipment you need. Lovely bungalow will book again. It’s great to have a Tescos round the corner. The walk into Padstow is about 15 - 20 mins. The drive is abit tight just as you get to bungalow so just be careful. The little road map pointing to where the bungalow is wrong. As you turn into Sarah’s close turn into the first driveway and go to end of drive it at top on left.

The property is well located to walk into the centre of Padstow - our favourite Cornish seaside town with lovely harbour, coastal walks, restaurants & shops .

The Tesco nearby is very handy. The small fenced garden was ideal for our small dogs & a glass of wine in the evening. We had a lovely relaxing holiday.

Excellent, spotless, all amenities available.

Home away from home would highly recommend. Excellently situated to Padstow centre.

Great stay at the property.

Super clean, super area, only a short walk into Padstow and really handy having a Tesco over the road. Everything we needed and really enjoyed our holiday If I wanted to be really picky, the house felt a bit "dated " and a bit old fashioned but was so comfortable and clean, it didn't really matter.

We had a lovely time at Chiff Chaff.

It is clean, well equipped and very comfortable. One observation i would make it would be advisable to point out the access drive is not really wide enough for larger cars and vehicles as I know to my cost and will have to make a rather expensive visit to the local body repair shop this week.

This is our 3rd stay at Chiffchaff,it's just a lovely place to stay,clean and cosy,and a good all rounder,enclosed garden which our little westie loves.

Situated in a small cul de sac,Tesco's a short distance away and lots of nearby places to visit.

This is lovely place to stay.

The location is great you are a short walk into Padstow ,coming back takes a bit longer up the hill. The accommodation is Good and very comfortable ,the kitchen is well equipped and the standard of cleanliness was outstanding.

Perhaps a spare loo roll wouldn't go amiss and some blackout blinds in the bedrooms really are essential.

Despite which, if we return to Padstow, we would not hesitate to book again.

Had a lovely stay at Chiffchaff.

The property was ideal for our needs and had everything we needed, and more, for our stay. Property was nice and clean, appliances were well maintained and instruction manuals left, just in case. Location was handy for walking in to the centre of Padstow and for access to the main road. Tesco supermarket a minute walk from the front door. All bedding and towels were provided, and the basic cleaning products were in the property for our use, so we didn't need to take any with us. We would definitely stay here again if returning to the Padstow area.

One or two items (oven fittings) were a tad greasy but otherwise everything was perfect.(except the weather) Having mentioned oven fittings I will say that Chif Chaf clenliness far exceeded all other holiday cottages we've stayed at ( and that's a lot) So to conclude as I began. EXCELLENT!!!

Excellent location, close to bus stop (regular busses) and Tesco store.

Nice sized property. Most suited to 2 adults & 2 children rather than 4 adults. The carpets and 3 piece suite are clean, however, they look dirty because they are very dated! Suite is comfortable to sit in. The microwave should be replaced. It has a crack inside and is rusty around the door. Although the double bed is a standard size, it would not suit larger people. It is very comfortable to sleep on however. I recommend upgrading to a king size especially as there is plenty of room to take it. The kitchen is well equipped with all the pots, pans, crockery, utensils etc that one could need. A dishwasher would be a bonus but is not essential. There is a noticeable damp musty smell in the property which does not completely go away when windows are opened. This is an issue when it is cold outside. This property has tremendous potential, however, it does need updating. I appreciate that this is reflected in the rental fee but I would be prepared to pay more if it were to be done.

Property was comfortable but dated.

It was clean apart from all the cobwebs in every room around the coving. Fridge was not working and very noisy. We had warm milk and orange juice daily. We had to buy milk every other day, fortunately Tesco was just across the road. The drive and parking was tight for a large vehicle.

Lovely clean, warm, well equipped and very comfortable property with a small secure front garden and it’s own parking space.

Unfortunately on the first day of our holiday the fridge stopped working but this was dealt with really quickly and efficiently and a new fridge installed. It is an ideal property if you have a dog or dogs and very central for so many places to visit. I have just booked for next year which will be our third year running!

Had a fantastic week in Padstow and really enjoyed our stay in Chiffchaff, what a lovely bungalow in a fantastic location.

A lovely cottage that provided all the comforts you would expect at home.

Superbly placed so as to have easy access to the facilities Padstow has to offer. Supermarket very near and the harbour/town just a gentle walk away. Offroad parking at the property was a real bonus.

Had a lovely weeks stay here with the family.

Chiffchaff is ideally situated for exploring Cornwall.

It’s about a 10 min walk to Padstow harbour but takes longer coming back up a hill!! Got easier as the week went on. The bungalow is homely and clean, there is everything you need. The garden is small but it is adequate. The drive is narrow but we had no issues in parking. The neighbours were very friendly. We had a great week and the weather was wonderful. The bed was the most comfortable one we have ever slept in. We would not hesitate to recommend staying at Chiffchaff.

This was our 2nd stay at Chiffchaff,as we were so impressed the first time,it's in a lovely cul de sac ,it has everything you could ask for very clean and cosy.

Also must mention the lovely lady Clare a nearby neighbour who we enjoy chatting too. If I had one request it would be thicker curtains in main bedroom as street light opposite makes the bedroom really light so it doesn't feel like night time.We certainly will be back...

The holiday was perfect except for the fact that because of covid we had to make up our own bed after a long journey.

I've been to other holiday let's and hotels and this was not the case,can not understand the logic,a sensible reason would be appreciated.

Property had everything we needed. Short walk into Padstow and only a few minutes drive to some beautiful beaches. Great secure little garden for our dogs. Home from home...would love to revisit sometime.

Loved this snug cosy accommodation so much that we have already booked again for next year.

Very clean, kitchen well stocked, beds comfy and the front garden just big enough for our three dogs to have morning and evening wee wee’s. Perfect for us to use as a base for visiting surrounding areas of interest and beaches. Thank you ChiffChaff from the Cowper’s and Foxy, Suki and Bertie.

Another lovely stay at Chiff chaff.

This is our 3rd time here and just booked again for March. Can't beat it for a home from home stay very close to Padstow.

The property was spotless.

We were told that the main light in the double bedroom wasn’t working but the owner had left our telephone number with an electrician who would get back to us. We are still waiting. The lock on the door was faulty. You could easily open it from the inside, but trying to open it from the outside was a nightmare. We reported this to the owner who said a locksmith would get in touch with us to arrange to sort it out. Again we are still waiting. We stayed there for three weeks. We have stayed at Chiff Chaff quite a few times over the years and have really enjoyed our holidays there, but were really disappointed this time and will definitely not be returning.

Very well equipped, clean, warm and comfortable house.

The garden is small but well fenced - however the fence is quite low and anyone with a sight hound would need to be watchful when letting them out. The back of the house is close to the main road into Padstow but I didn’t find it at all noisy. I do think that a little more attention needs to be paid to maintenance of the property. The front door key is very temperamental and difficult to lock/unlock. There was one lightbulb in the main lounge light not working on arrival and a second blew whilst I was there, with no spares. On the third day the previously working electric fire suddenly stopped working and on another night the fuse box tripped. My main problem with the house was the drive and parking. The advert states that you approach via a double width drive which you do. Unfortunately it doesn’t say that this then narrows to an awkwardly angled very narrow drive with unforgiving stone walls on one side. If you have a large or a long estate car as I have it is difficult to reverse up or, if you drive in forwards turning your car around in the available space is also very awkward. That said I felt comfortable, warm and safe and would definitely stay again.

Comfortable beds. Great location for walking into Padstow. Opposite Tesco ( very handy) and house backed into main roas, but not t oo noisy.

Bungalow was very old fashioned inside and had a fousty smell upon arrival and even after being out for a few hours.

We arrived to a note saying that the light in the main bedroom wasn’t working and an electrician had been called but no one contacted us during the week and it wasn’t fixed during our stay. Also the toilet seat was broken. No toilet roll provided which we didn’t think was a luxury item! Very well equipped kitchen though. Great location for Tesco but a long steep walk to the harbour so not good for anyone with health problems. Bungalow backs onto main road so very noisy with traffic in main bedroom very early in the morning. Would not stay again.

Shower very low power No dishwasher though didn’t expect as not in details but most rentals now have.

No welcome pack was disappointing Great location but not if you can’t walk up steep hill

central to the harbour and shops. The only disappointing thing was the enclosed garden which is mainly at front of property you could not use rear garden as too small, no door leading to rear garden had to go through front garden to rear gate
