The Camel Trail runs directly through Wadebridge, leading to Padstow, where you can explore the harbour, browse galleries and food shops, or take to the water on a boat trip.

Polzeath is nearby for beach days, coastal walks and sea air, popular with families and surfers.

Further afield, Newquay makes an excellent day trip, with well-known beaches including Fistral, attractions such as the Blue Reef Aquarium, and a lively mix of restaurants and shops.
