“We had a wonderful stay at Onshore!”

The apartment was perfect for our family of four with the most amazing views over the beach. It was a great thing to wake up to each morning. The apartment is well equipped with everything you might need and is close to beaches, bars, restaurants and shops. Everything is within walking distance. Neil and Helen were easily contactable and responded straight away with any queries we had. Thank you so much, we do hope to visit again in the future!

“Our 2nd visit and still has the wow factor.”

Communication with the owner was great. The apartment is so well equipped and has its own parking space. The bed was comfortable and we had a great sleep, no need for an alarm clock as the seagulls do that for you. The views from the apartment are amazing with ever changing sea and skies. Third visit already booked for next year

“The cleaner was not welcoming.”

We were told if key in code locker is ready so went in and there was a man there so was shocked. Then he made us feel we should be lucky to have it as he has to work hard through summer time to earn money. We work hard too too afford to go away. When we got in there was a lot of dust and marks and damage. We took pics and we rang Sykes. We will email them over. We loved 6 onshore last year so we rebooked but could only get no 4. Just not as welcoming as last year. We will be back as love the place but may be number 6. Don’t know if they owned by same person but cleaner should not make us feel guilty he’s working

We do want to gently clarify that your arrival was 4 hours ahead of the scheduled check-in time, during which the property was still being cleaned and prepared. Entering early without prior arrangement was outside the booking terms, and while an early check-in fee could have applied as suggested by the booking agent, we’ve chosen not to pursue this. Had check-in taken place at the correct time, the property would have been fully ready and presented to the high standard that so many of our guests have positively commented on. We’re sorry if the interaction with the cleaner felt anything less than welcoming. Our team works hard to ensure guests feel comfortable, and we’ll follow up to make sure this is always the case. “A perfect place to stay, we couldn't ask for anymore!”

Easy to find secure car park, the accommodation it self had everything you could ask for and topped of by the beautiful view. It didn't matter what time of day it was you could just sit out on the balcony and spend hours just listening to the sea and watching the surfers. Bedrooms were spacious & the open plan kitchen/living room meant you were always able to spend time as a family. The main town was minutes away and the beach even closer. We'll 100% be booking again to stay here

“The listing of this property was so accurate, it certainly didn’t disappoint.”

The view was exactly as is pictured. The apartment was clean and airy with all the basic essentials provided. The beach and town are both literally walking distance away, so plenty to see and do. Of an evening, lots of blankets provided, so ideal to sit on the balcony to watch the sea and people go by. Highly recommend

“Wonderful apartment with stunning views and private parking.”

This was our third stay and would like to mention once again that the sofa and chair are quite uncomfortable. The soft furnishings (cushions) were musty and require refreshing. Having said the above we will be booking for 2026.

“Onshore is an absolutely beautiful apartment!”

Spotlessly clean and really well equipped (which isn't always the case in holiday accommodation) Onshore is comfortable and spacious. Little, thoughtful touches such as blankets for a chilly morning on the balcony, tips of places to go and takeaway menus really added to the experience. A secure parking space and really convenient location were very helpful but the balcony with that spectacular view was outstanding! I only wish we could have stayed longer.

“We had a lovely stay in Onshore, we usually book Towan Penthouse, but after staying in Onshore we’ll definitely be booking our stays here in future, although it’s unfortunate that the same week next year is Easter and the price nearly doubled in a few days of going to book it :( The apartment is lovely and cosy, has everything you need.”

It is perfect placement for town, we hardly used our car unless we went out of Newquay. The views of Towan beach and the Island are lovely and watching the surfers is great. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise on our stay, which is completely out of the control of the owners but something to be aware of, we had someone ripping out one of the apartments next door, we had guys drilling into the cliff face of Towan beach and there’s currently renovations ongoing on the Island house, it all contributed to a few headaches and not being able to sit out on the balcony as much as we usually would. But we had a lovely little holiday, we definitely recommend checking out the little gallery of Dreya Glass on Killacourt above Towan beach, Pauline’s for your lunch, amazing baguettes and cakes and Healey’s Cyder Farm for a day out. Thanks you for a lovely stay!

“This is the 2nd Christmas here.”

When we came the first Christmas there was a Christmas tree in the living room. Unfortunately there wasn't one this Christmas which was very disappointing. Was also disappointed there was no coffee like it states on list. The water pressure was low however my husband fit the boiler so didn't have any more issues with it. The radiators in both bedrooms wasn't working. The towel radiator in the en suite also wasn't working. On the plus side the view from the living room was spectacular. Watching the surfers and swimmer in the sea. The skirting boards around the apartment was filthy.

Thank you for visiting for a second time and we are so sorry that the Christmas tree was not put up, it was in the kitchen cupboard and we had assumed that the housekeeper had put it up, we shall speak with them to ensure that this does not happen again. Similarly, we will speak to them about the coffee and skirting boards, although it is regrettable that the guests did not mention this on arrival as we would have insisted that the cleaner returned to correct this immediately. This guest was in touch with us during they stay, and these points were not mentioned and so we are saddened that we did not have the opportunity to rectify them during their stay. A plumber has looked at the boiler and the bedroom radiators. As per the information leaflet, the controls for the bathroom radiators are located just outside each bathroom so that guests can adjust the bathroom radiators to their preferred temperature. We thank you again for your feedback, this is always helpful and can confirm that the comments have been addressed. We are glad that the guests took the opportunity to text us on departure to say that they has had a 'wonderful stay' and so this feedback is very disappointing and somewhat unexpected. Property Owner

“We loved our time in Newquay.”

The location of the apartment was fantastic, with an unforgettable view of the harbour, beach and Atlantic. It was very well equipped, warm, and everything we had hoped for. We would happily use it in the future. The very slight negatives are: 1) The sofa and seat in the living room weren't very comfortable. 2) The only access to the apartment is via an unlit and very quiet alleyway, which my wife found a bit unsettling. We didn't experience any problems, and we didn't see any 'dodgy characters' lurking about, but my wife wouldn't walk back on her own at night.

Very comfortable and well equipped. The views were amazing. The parking space was a god send and the lift up to the first floor with our bags helped the old legs. The apartment was extremely clean and felt like home as soon as we got in. The scones, jam, cream and milk were extremely welcome thank you. Would love to return now that we know the way into the car park as even though we used the sat nav details provided it took a while due to the one way system.

“Having Onshore withdrawal symptons already :( You will not fail to be stunned by this beautiful apartment.”

The view sat from the balcony is stunning,and 5 minutes walk onto the beach. Starting from the parking which is very secure (if you take a second car there is free parking in front of the apartment too) The beds were comfortable and with quality bedding.There was plenty of hot water in great showers and a modern well stocked kitchen (thank-you for the milk and scones )and the seating area with comfy chairs facing the sea. Board games supplied and even Netflix for guests. 5 minutes walk to the main street and lots of shops and restaurants, far too many to recommend,but we tried quite a few. Would highly recommend this property 10/10

“Kitchen needs a drainer rack for the sink together with a kick stool - not all of us can reach the top kitchen cupboards.”

Very good otherwise. Also had cause to contact maintenance about the heated towel rails not coming on - message was acknowledged but nothing thereafter. We noticed the main heating controller was dead so maybe this was the cause.

Heated towel rail in en-suite bathroom not working as previously mentioned. We were disappointed that there were very few basics left in the apartment ie kitchen roll, only a tiny amount of washing up liquid, no dishwasher tablets and a tiny amount of liquid hand soap etc. But other than these points the apartment is modern and well equipped for a comfortable stay and we would consider returning in the future

Comfortable beds, super strength showers. Netflix a very welcome perk. Secure car parking. Cons - no wardrobe in 2nd bedroom. Glass shield over hob quite dangerous! Lack of basic kitchen utensils (potato masher, slotted spoon, sieve). Bath very slow to drain. Great to have 2 washing machines, but no clothes airer? Would rather dry clothes naturally rather than waste energy using the tumble dryer.

“The flat was excellent, The glass table top was loose and when you rested on it it tipped up.”

Glass tables high or low ,would not be my choice when small children are running around very dangerous. The Hob extractor was too low kept banging my head on it. The settee could do with changing not comfortable. Other than the furniture the flat was very good.

“Holiday heaven, what an amazing place!”

The ever changing view of the sea is incredible. The beach is right in front of you with mesmerising sounds. Behind you are the shops, arcades and restaurants. Once parked in your allocated space you don’t need to use the car again you have everything you need. The beds are very comfortable, the apartment is spotless and there are all the resources and facilities you could possibly need. Onshore is a perfect place to stay many happy memories made!!

“We had an amazing stay at Onshore and loved it!”

We had super service from the owners who were very responsive. There were coat hangers missing from the wardrobe and these were posted the next day - brilliant! The directions were a little difficult to follow and we got lost on the one-way system. But we found it eventually. A full-length mirror in the hall would also be great for your lady guests. I would recommend this fabulous apartment to anyone wishing for a lovely holiday as it is well-appointed, spotless, has great views and is within walking distance of beaches and all that Newquay has to offer.

“The property was a delight, everything you could need was provided and was in a great location for town and walks.”

Once we parked the car there was no need to use it again. Having the parking was one reason we booked here. Only one small issue was the dining table which had a glass top that wasn’t secure, if you had a young child that leant on it, it could quite easily topple over on them. This is definitely a place I will look to book again.

“Beautiful apartment with amazing, ever changing sea views.”

Very comfortable. Right in the centre of Newquay, so could walk everywhere. The seating area might be a bit small for four people but for two, it was fine. Lovely cream tea awaited us, which was very welcome. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the off season when it’s affordable! Although the weather was awful (storm Eunice), it didn’t matter, as we didn’t need to leave the apartment to be able to see the sea and the surfers and it was only a 5 minute walk to pick up a whole variety of food. Would thoroughly recommend.

“What a beautifully appointed apartment.”

I loved the art work and the view was simply out of this world. The place was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was supplied with everything one could possibly want. And how nice to have a lift for hauling the always-too-heavy suitcase. The location was perfect; so close to the main shopping street and a short, although uphill, walk to Sainsbury in the other direction. You can sit on the balcony and enjoy watching the tide come and go around the island; and then it was was a short walk down to the beach. I did not have a car but the car park behind the building looked to be very easy to maneuver any size vehicle. I did have a "blip" one morning with the hot water heater; but Neil immediately had someone there to fix things. A great place to stay in Newquay. I highly recommend Onshore 4 to anyone.

The balcony was great for pre-dinner drinks in the evening. The apartment was very stylish and comfortable. It was surprisingly quiet at night considering it’s central location. Nothing was too far from the apartment. The private parking was very good. We had very good meals in Bush Pepper, 12 Beach Road and Rebellion Roast House. We did some lovely walks along the coast, aided by the good bus service. The only issue we had was our SatNav did not recognise the postcode so we couldn’t find the apartment. Luckily Denise came to our rescue and guided us there.

Newquay is the home of the UK’s surf scene, boasting three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a watersports paradise. The town, with its zoo, sea life centre and varied selection of restaurants and pubs, also promises a holiday to remember. For avid walkers, the South West Coast Path passes in both directions along a stunning coastline of high cliffs, hidden coves and yet more beaches. The quaint harbour and fishing village of Padstow is just 14 miles away, while Truro, with its museums, cathedral, restaurants and cobbled streets, as well as the Eden Project, can be reached within 30 minutes. Picturesque St Ives and the Tate St Ives gallery is under an hour's drive or a train ride away. In fact, because nothing in Cornwall is far from Newquay, it’s the perfect touring base.
