“A little difficulty finding property as the road where it's situated is divided into 3 parts & continues through 2 sets of crossroads.”
We were met with a warm welcome from William and Cathy who own the attached farm too, and enjoyed the cream scones and jam, and the homely touches such as flowers. Once we found our bearings, there's a nearby pub and corner shop, and the nearest beach is Portreath with a great Chinese takeaway, cafe and Bassett public house. Dogs aren't actually allowed on most beaches during July and August except before 10 am and after 6 pm, which is a shame, but they're allowed in most pubs. The location suited us very well, being close to many tourist attractions, beaches and Healey's Cyder Farm.
The property itself is beautifully presented, clean, warm, dog-friendly, modern with good facilities for a couple. Dogs were not actually allowed in the bedroom but most dogs would probably jump onto the sofa if left unattended. Bed was comfortable. Shower lovely. Certain sundries such as wash-up liquid, shampoo, milk, bottle opener weren't provided, but found hair dryer, tea, coffee and sugar useful . The garden is enclosed and is fantastic for dogs, even the escape artists who squeeze round the back, and the conservatory is comfortable, warm and light. Cathy's paintings were tastefully displayed on walls and can be purchased, or commissioned to order.
I would certainly recommend the accommodation and would have no hesitation in staying here again.
