Step into the property following a day outdoors and head straight up to the first floor where the sitting room welcomes you in to kick off you shoes and relax on the large sofa, with a TV in the perfect spot for enjoying your favourite shows and a woodburning stove to snuggle up in front of the three window seats offer magnificent views of the sea, thatched cottages and fishing boats.
From here, the open plan kitchen and dining space invites any budding chefs of the group to rustle up some tasty meals for the whole group on the range cooker, before sitting down to plan the day ahead at the large rustic dining table.
Completing the first floor is a desk area in the corner with views to the west and north plus a convenient cloakroom with a basin and WC.
Back on the ground floor, discover four of five bedrooms, including a double-bed room plus a king-bed room hosting plenty of storage for you to unpack your belongings and sharing a lovely family shower room.
There is also a double-bed room and a twin room, both of which benefit from en-suite shower rooms.
There is also a laundry room (washing machine & dryer) with a separate exit to the rear of the property and an outside shower with hot water as well as a clothesline.
Climb the stairs to the second floor to find the master bedroom which features exceptional views over Cadgwith Cove.
The bedroom has plenty of storage space with a delightful king-size bed.
On the other side of the landing, there is a magnificent bathroom hosting a freestanding bath, a walk-in shower and equally stunning views over Cadgwith Cove.
Head outside to find the attractive garden space for you to enjoy your morning coffee on the patio looking out to sea, or perhaps enjoy a spot of al fresco dining in the evening, making the most of the lighter summer nights.
There is also an outside sitting area by the rear first floor door, which is a great sun-trap on a summer’s evening.
Cadgwith Cove is 150 metres from Louvain․ The cove has two small beaches - the fishing beach at front of the village where the slipway is right on the road; and the adjacent swimming beach․ Separating the two is a small outcrop called the Todden, where locals and visitors alike congregate.
Cadgwith is home to a small number of local businesses and a fishmongers where you can buy fresh crab sandwiches for a true taste of the Cornish coast.
The picturesque village is also home to one of the last traditional fishing ports in the UK and is conveniently located near Lizard and Helston, with striking scenery in all directions.
For days out while at the property, visit Kynance Cove – one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall - or the Helford River, or for a relaxing stroll one afternoon, visit Trebah Garden near the river.
Any energetic members of your group will enjoy a day at Lizard Adventure, providing kayak and canoe tours of the coast while the rest of the group take in the vast clifftops and white beaches․ There is also a surfing school at Poldhu Beach and a café which is open 364 days a year.
For those who like to be pampered, spend time at the excellent Mullion Cove Hotel spa and enjoy a dip in their new outdoor pool if you don't fancy cooking, The Old Cellars café is a short walk away from the property, or you can venture into the nearby market town of Helston for a delicious meal at Henley's Bar and Kitchen for a decadent dining experience while the chefs prepare your food as you look over the dazzling sea.
For a taste of history, the Marconi Station World Heritage Site is a short drive or long but adventurous walk from the property, as well as Halliggye Fogou, a mysterious complex of passages underground, for which its prior use is still unknown.

Quite literally the best holiday rental we have ever stayed in!
Set in a magical little village with breathtaking views, this cottage is an absolute gem. Beautifully decorated with impeccable taste, cosy, charming and incredibly well equipped, it exceeded all our expectations. The value for money was unbeatable (at least outside school holidays!). The generous welcome hamper, filled with delicious treats, was such a lovely surprise. Every little detail had been thoughtfully considered, from the games, books and music to the wonderfully equipped kitchen. Everything was designed to make us feel at home and enjoy every moment of our stay. Even the power cut on our last day became part of the adventure! A lovely neighbour popped round with candles, adding yet another touch of charm to an already unforgettable stay. It truly was a dream holiday, and we couldn’t have wished for a better place to spend it. A huge thank you to the owner and housekeeper for their kindness, thoughtfulness and for making this place so special. We absolutely loved every minute and would return in a heartbeat!
Louvain is a wonderful house in the picture postcard perfect village of Cadgwith.
It has everything you need for a home away from home and the welcome gift was next level, including a delicious home made cake! Would 100% stay there again.
Just returned from a lovely week in Louvain, our second in three years with the family.
We stay in Cadgwith at least once a year and this house is one of our favourites. The short walk down the footpath to the cove for swimming and the pub makes makes the location ideal for us. Louvain is very well equipped and comfortable with plenty of bathrooms and enough lounge and dining seating for all (not always the case in the larger holiday lets, we find). Very generous welcome pack on arrival and beautiful flowers everywhere. Happily, the beautiful autumn weather meant we were able to made the most of the sunny terrace in front of the house. The charming owners, Suzy and Alan, were very responsive to an issue we had with the hot water supply and this was quickly sorted. I do think they might like to review the condition, sizes and number of saucepans in the kitchen (we enjoy cooking on holiday - I am aware this would not be an issue for some). There are lots of oven-proof dishes however so this wasn't really a problem. Sadly, on checking, the property does not allow children under six and as we will welcome our first grandchild at Christmas, we may not be able to book again for next spring as we had originally planned. We would whole-heartedly recommend this house to the baby-free however.
