The cottage was amazing, spotless, had everything you could think of.

Graeme and Gill were very helpful if you needed them but otherwise left you alone, to say they lived next door they were totally non intrusive. Won’t be our last visit if we go to Cornwall again. The welcome pack was a nice touch also.

The cottage is beautifully maintained and very comfortable. We have a dog so we were pleased to find lots of off road walking on the doorstep. We had a very relaxing weekend.

This property exceeds all expectations without a doubt, the weather was very challenging but the accommodation made up for it soon becoming our happy place, so very comfortable and it lacked nothing.

Thanks for a lovely holiday, hopefully we shell return again when the weather is kinder.

Homely, warm and beautifully clean. Very well equipped. The owners are lovely kind people. We had a super week. Great walks from the cottage, as well as being well situated for Falmouth and the Helford river. Also good for Trebah and Glendurggan Gardens. Can’t wait to go again.

When we first walked in to the cottage we found it to be warm, clean and well presented in a traditional style that we enjoy. It was very comfortable and so well equipped. Milk and tea was provided and a welcome gift too. The owners, Graeme and Gail were very friendly and helpful. We hope to return to this delightful cottage again.

The location was ideally placed to explore beautiful Cornwall.....being very close to Vibrant Falmouth and the surrounding areas....including Trebah Gardens The Helford Helston and the Lizard and of course....Truro. WE would definately stay there again and would recommend.

The cottage was as described but there is nothing within walking distance, as it would be too dangerous to walk on the roads…no pubs, shops etc.

We had to drive everywhere along single track roads with very high, poorly maintained hedges. Although this is outwith the owners control they could warn holiday makers about this. There is also no garden to speak of, 2 wooden chairs and a table in the drive. Nothing quaint about this property just old fashioned, in need of updating and clearing out of all unnecessary crockery (lots of different old fashioned crockery for 2 people). Feels like some old person moved out for the week to let us stay there.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage.

In fact both of us didn't want to leave including Oliver our dog! The owners were at hand if assistance or directions were required but unintrusive at the same time. The kitchen and bathroom were extremely well equipped and well maintained. We have already booked another stay for this year and are already looking forward to it.

We have visited Sheila’s Cottage on many occasions and have never been disappointed.

We love the quiet location and the comfortable accommodation. We like to do most of our own cooking when we are away and have found the kitchen facilities to be excellent. The owners live next door and are friendly and helpful but never intrusive. We visit the area regularly to visit family members who live a few miles away. Having found Sheila’s Cottage we have never felt the need to consider alternatives.

Sheila’s Cottage is a lovely homely cottage perfect for a couple.

It was cosy and warm which was great as we stayed there in December. Graham and Gail our hosts were very helpful. The cottage is ideal with a large kitchen, fully equipped and a cosy lounge diner. In summer the large conservatory would be great, but in December we didn’t get to use it unfortunately. The area is so dark we saw the Milky Way for first time ever, brilliant. Thank you for a lovely break at Sheila’s Cottage.

Fantastic cottage.

Lots of space, with large living room / dining room, and a sizeable conservatory. Decent sized walk in shower cubicle with lovely powerful shower. Kitchen very well equipped with everything you could need. The cottage was spotlessly clean, the welcome treats on arrival were a lovely surprise. Graham was so friendly, helpful, and genuinely concerned when our dog had to go to the vet with a shoulder strain. I would definitely recommend staying here - great location to explore Helston, Falmouth and the Lizard. Don’t be put off by the narrow lanes - Sheila’s Cottage is an absolute gem with perfect peace and quiet.

If you are looking for peace and quiet this really is the place for you, and yet it’s ideally situated as a base for exploring the area.

Excellent information for finding the cottage, the local area, and equipment you may need to use, given by Greame and Gail, who are both very welcoming and on hand to help if required. From the extra information we were sent the property was very easy to find.

It was clean and had all the equipment you needed for a good stay, even down to torches in every room. Very pleased we booked it.

A complete list of how everything worked, was very useful. The owners, who lived next door, were very helpful, but discreet. Very quiet, but not far from things to do and see, so long as you had a car. Felt very comfortable there.

Fantastic accomodation, exceptionally high standard all round.

The owners had apparently previously recieved some negative feedback re the bed which they have now replaced. As first users of it we can report it’s super comfortable! The fact they immediately act on feedback sums up their approach to providing a great service to guests.

The cottage is just so homely it’s ideal for me being on one level and close to family despite the most awful weather during our stay we enjoyed our break hopefully all being well we will return again later in the year to Sheila’s cottage as of the hosts you couldn’t ask for a nicer couple and although they are only next door they are no bother quite the opposite which is why we like to keep going back to such a wonderful place

The cottage was superb, ample room for two, tastefully furnished and with all the equipment my wife and I required.

Its location is good although the access is down country lanes. The owners were great and their welcoming gifts were much appreciated. We would highly recommend it.

Sheila’s Cottage was perfect in every way.

Quiet, picturesque surroundings in the owners garden. The cottage, with its super conservatory a bonus, had everything needed for a great relaxing break. We wanted for nothing, there was plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking gear galore….all spotless. Decorated in a cosy fashion…lots of cupboards containing fascinating items, and plenty of books and games etc. Kitchen was amazing and cooker was easy to work. Shower was lovely and powerful in the en-suite bathroom. Plenty of storage space…in a fitted wardrobe. Graeme and Gail were lovely hosts who left us milk, chocolates and wine, and we left with a cutting of a very unusual plant!! A top notch property….we loved it here!

Pleasure to meet Graeme and Gail who live in the house next to Sheila’s Cottage.

The property is immaculate and gives a home from home feeling. Every thing you need in the kitchen is there and the shower had good pressure and temperature which we find a must. Plenty of room to relax in the lounge/ dinning room and a beautiful large conservatory.

Probably the best place we have ever stayed in, it had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The cottage was spotless, in a very quiet location and with every possible amenity provided. The information provided about the facilities was very comprehensive and left nothing to chance. The owners are very pleasant people and easily contactable if required. There were several gifts on arrival which were very welcome. Can it be improved upon - probably not

Delightful cottage in a lovely quiet setting, spotless and has everything you may need.

Thoughtful welcome gift for us and our dog Lenny. Can recommend the Cornish Barista cafe only a short walk away at the activity centre overlooking cliffs and a reservoir. The owners gave us a warm welcome, leave you to it, but are there if you need them for anything. Highly recommended.

Back again!

This cottage with its large conservatory is ideal for us and our dog, being comfortable and well provided, while relatively remote and peaceful. It is well placed as a base from which to motor to any of the wonderful walks of the SW peninsula while Truro, Penryn, and Falmouth are easily accessible, and if you avoid the rush hour, they are never as crowded as the North coast resorts.

Everything about our experience was perfect.

Dealing with Sykes Cottages was vastly superior to our experience with other companies and can be recommended. Sheila's Cottage can also be strongly recommended. It was faultlessly clean, very highly equipped, superbly located and a real delight.

A lovely home from home cottage, very well equipped

We would strongly recommend Sheila's Cottage to anyone wanting to visit Penryn/Falmouth/Truro coastline, or further afield.

It truly is a lovely 'home from home' experience. Everything, was so cosy, clean and welcoming. Graeme and Gail left us a bottle of wine, fresh flowers, chocolates and treats for our dog, as well as even laying the fire in the log burner ready for us. Central heating through-out, which was timed perfectly, so that we were always warm in October. Even extra niceties, such as fresh milk in the fridge, the little things you might forget to take such as cooking oil, condiments ect all provided. This was on top of all cleaning products provided, including dishwasher and washing machine tabs. Extremely comfortable bed, pillows ect. This cottage has it all, including peace and quiet if you need a restful break. It also has a lovely conservatory, with comfortable seating to put your feet up and enjoy the evenings drawing in, in comfort. Cards, games, CDs, DVDs also provided if you want to fill some time. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I mistakenly left my hairdryer and kindle behind and they kindly informed me and posted it out to me the same day, wrapped in bubble wrap for protection. Also, sitiated close to all amenities and dog friendly beaches in half term. Quite frankly, in our experience we can honestly say that the whole week was made for us with such a lovely clean, inviting and cosy cottage to return to each day. Thank you Graeme and Gail for a lovely holiday that we both felt was a breath of fresh air for us, as well as extremely good value for money. This cottage surpassed all our expectations, thank you! It is definitely on our radar for return visits.

We explored the whole of the South of Cornwall and Sheila's Cottage was perfectly situated.

It was such a well equipped clean cottage with a real Home from Home feel. The owners left us lovely goodies. Chocolates, wine, fresh flowers and fresh milk. We will definitely stay here again.

Our second visit to Cornwall, but our first stay in Sheila's cottage, a beautiful, comfortable cottage set in idyllic surroundings, enhanced by a large conservatory with generous comfortable chairs.

It is ideally placed to visit South Cornwall with its stunning coastline and attractive towns and villages. We particularly like Falmouth, with St Mawes and Fowey coming close seconds. We would definitely recommend a visit to this property, and would consider booking again.

This cottage is equipped with everything one possibly need, and is extremely comfortable for a couple plus their dog.

While the allocated garden area is not gated, it is off a shared drive and away from the country lane. The welcome pack was very generous, and the owner was keen to be helpful with a good knowledge of local attractions and facilities We will return!

We booked Sheilas Cottage to give us a convenient base in order to explore the SW Coastal path between Falmouth & Mevagissey.

The cottage was great, very well equipped and comfortable. Owners live next door and Graeme & Gail were perfect hosts. Lovely welcome pack on arrival inc bottle of wine and chews for the dog. Lots of thoughtful touches. Some great walking on the doorstep and around neighbouring reservoirs (Argal) and the coast is only 15-20 mins away with Trelissick Gardens & the Roseland area / Mevagissey easy to reach via the King Harry ferry from Trelissick. Nearby Truro was a morning well spent too. Highly recommend this cottage.

It was spacious, comfortable and quiet and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Easy access to the wonderful Cornish countryside. The address given was aa little misleading as it is several miles from Penryn.

Sheila's cottage is probably the best we have stayed in.

The location is quiet and rural and gave us a great opportunity for star gazing among other things. You can take country walks from the property. It is also well placed for the sea.

It didn't feel like we were renting a property.

More that we had been invited to house sit for a friend. The property was beautifully appointed and lovely touches made it feel like a home and very welcome. The only reason it does not score 100% is that we would have preferred a bed larger than a double (it was accurately described however), so if you are happy with a double bed, I don't think you could go past this beautiful cottage and it's friendly and hospitable hosts.

the property is in a very quite hamlet and the stars are to die for at night. The proximity to Falmouth and Truro is good and we travelled by car and found it really convenient. The property is owned by Gail and Graham, who we found to be most helpful and very friendly and made us really welcome. It was a really nice experience meeting them and staying in this lovely property and I would highly recommend it to all. Chas and Lyn Beaumont.
