“From the extra information we were sent the property was very easy to find.”

It was clean and had all the equipment you needed for a good stay, even down to torches in every room. Very pleased we booked it.

The property

This charming cottage is situated next to the owner's home, Druscilla Cottage, 4 miles from Penryn, Cornwall, where a wealth of historic architecture and harbour heritage are just waiting to be explored.

Ideally placed for touring Falmouth, yet tucked away into the peace and quiet, Sheila's Cottage brings you the best of both worlds.

All ground floor, the interior oozes charm and tradition, commencing in the conservatory, where a collection of arm chairs, and a small table rest amongst natural views, perfect for a peaceful breakfast time.

Continuing into the lounge/diner, floral prints and dark furnishings almost take you back in time, all tied together with a woodburning stove, setting you up for those cosy nights in.

Beyond here, discover the homely kitchen elevated by neutral units and marble effect counter-tops, a lovely place to dish up refreshments each day.

What better way to relax after a long adventure than in the comfortable double bedroom and good finish.

There is even an adjoined en-suite shower room.

Out and about, make your way around a choice of restaurants, cafes and pubs in the town, along with a museum.

The tranquil Enys Gardens rests on the outskirts of the town, while subtropical Trebah Gardens and National Trust Glendurgan are a similar distance.

Visit the National Maritime Museum for a taste of Cornwall’s sea-faring history, or the fine Tudor fortress of Pendennis Castle, set gazing out to sea.

Falmouth, includes a host of things to keep you entertained including harbour-side pubs and eateries with spectacular views, Blue Flag beaches and a lively town centre.

A precious addition to Halvasso.

The local walking is best in class with the Helford River, Coast Path and rural rambles.
