Upstairs, three thoughtfully appointed bedrooms provide flexible sleeping arrangements: a cosy twin room with zip-link beds, a serene king-size bedroom, and a cheerful bunk room ideal for children. Mermaid Cottage is delightful providing a superb base from which to enjoy Mousehole and surrounds.
The house is perfectly positioned in very easy walking distance of the harbour, pubs, beach and cafés (and car parks!); cosy without being at all cramped; very well equipped, especially for self-catering in the kitchen; comfortable throughout ... providing, too, a sense of the historic feel of the port village. During our 5-night visit, we felt very 'at home' - enjoying a refreshing blend of seaside exploration, days out, pub visits and "evenings in"! We would also want to say that Mermaid Cottage was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean throughout - a very welcome consequence of thorough and careful work from the housekeeper. Thank you.
The cottage is in an excellent location just a stones throw from Mousehole harbour.
It's a beautiful cottage and the pictures/description didn't do it justice enough. For anyone wanting a great stay in the picturesque village of Mousehole, look no further than Mermaid Cottage
