    “We had a great week at 6A The Mews in Harlyn Bay.”

    The accommodation and reviews were spot on. The beds were very comfortable, and the space inside perfect for our group of 6. The location and access to the beach absolutely superb. The only feedback would be to provide a hanging close line for all the wetsuits and towels in the court yard. An airer is provided under the stairs but not big or stable enough to dry wetsuits. An outdoor hose is desperately needed to get rid of all the sand on wetsuits and bodies when coming back from the beach ...

Great facility but loud music played until 1100 pm most nights, which isn't great if you're wanting an early night.

One of two detached, purpose-built holiday homes, 6A The Mews offers a contemporary abode in any season.

The open-plan living space is where all can regroup after a long day, relaxing on the sofa or taking over the kitchen in preparation for a hearty meal.

Pour a glass of fizz at the dining table, toasting to a long-awaited break with your nearest and dearest!

To the outside is an enclosed courtyard with bench and barbecue, ideal on those balmy afternoons.

When it comes to catching your rest, whisk away upstairs and choose between three neatly-presented bedrooms.

The Mews

These two purpose-built holiday homes sit in Harlyn Bay, just a short walk from the beach. Boasting a contemporary décor and furnishings, The Mews is a superb escape for families and friends looking to explore this region of Cornwall. Internally, the properties benefit from open-plan living spaces, hosting well-equipped kitchen with a range of integrated appliances so you can easily cook up a storm. Spend your evenings relaxing on the sofa, throwing open the patio doors to let the fresh Cornish air wash through the rooms. The upstairs play host to the bedrooms, including a master double with en-suite shower, a standard double and a bunk, serviced by a gleaming bathroom. If you book these cottages together, you can experience the delights of both properties, while enjoying a sparkling glass of wine within the enclosed courtyard. Just a short walk away lies Harlyn Beach, considered one of the best family beaches in Cornwall, it boasts a wide and sandy stretch with plenty of interesting rock pools. When it comes to dining out you will be spoilt for choice; Harlyn is near to a number of eateries including the pubs of The Well Parc Hotel and The Doghouse, whilst there’s also many bars and restaurants to sample. HARLYN, CORNWALL

Padstow 2.5 miles, Constantine 2 miles; Polzeath 15 miles.

Harlyn is a charming little village, with a large crescent shaped sandy beach, safe for swimming, surfing and dog friendly all year round. Harlyn Bay is considered to be one of the best family beaches in Cornwall with a north-facing shore, beckoning surfers to brave the white waves that surge towards golden sands. Connected to the South West Coastal Path and part of the 'Seven Bays for Seven Days' area this is also an ideal location for walkers to explore the beautiful Cornish countryside. Constantine Bay just two miles away offers golf at the Trevose Championship course. Nearby Padstow lies at the head of the Camel Trail along the Camel Estuary and local cycle hire shops enable visitors to enjoy the area easily. Padstow is a delightful fishing port offering ample opportunity to taste locally sourced produce, as well as the award-winning Camel Valley wines, in celebrity owned establishments. Local fisherman's boats offer coastal tours and sea fishing trips, while a passenger ferry takes you across the estuary to Rock with the windsurfing beach of Daymer Bay and golf at the famous St Enedoc course. Just around the corner toward Pentire Head is the surfing paradise at Polzeath, and when the beach no longer calls there are several stately homes and gardens to visit as well as special events at the Cornish County Showground.
