Amanda “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Tregarrick.”
It was very clean and cozy and close to wonderful beaches. Lovely owners too! Thank you for a great stay.

Lesley “Lovely spacious, comfortable and well equipped accommodation in a quiet location.”
Close to The Lizard and Lands End peninsula. Plenty of attractions to visit nearby. Very friendly family on the farm and lovely dogs to welcome us. Highly recommended.

Excellent location and really pleasant helpful hosts. Recommended.

cedria “Lovely peaceful environment.”
An immaculate cottage with all facilities. I didn't have to use any of the household things (tea towels etc) that I had taken. The welcome pack was great especially the cream tea!! The two dogs added to the enjoyment as well as the resident owls in the roof space!! The owner was very friendly when we bumped into each other. It was ideally situated to explore the area. It was my first experience of using Sykes and would definitely do so again

Denise “An ideal cottage in a Lizard setting.”
Really pleased the owner introduced themselves on arrival and when we were leaving came to say goodbye hoped we had a good stay. The owners two dogs greeted us home every day was that a welcome home or was it are there any treats either way they were both lovely.

Dave “The cottage is warm and comfortable.”
Everything you could possibly want, except for a tea-pot, now supplied as a parting gift to the owners, is there. The starting pack is especially generous, with tea, coffee, sugar, milk, scones ,jam and clotted cream all supplied. The owner Chris is very friendly and helpful as are the rest of the family. If you don't appreciate the smells and sounds of a working dairy farm then this isn't the place for you. We loved it, and were entertained watching the family trying to move some 30 odd calves from one barn to another. A real team effort!!
- Dave, May 2024 -
David “Lovely cosy little barn just right for couples who want a bit of peace and quiet.”
Accommodation fully equipped and very clean .Would highly recommend it . Nice welcome pack of scones /jam/ cream and tea/ coffee and milk . Hosts friendly and welcoming .Good location within easy reach of shops and town and for sight seeing .

Carol “A comfortable, attractive and peaceful place to stay.”
It benefits from being the only one apart from resident calves in the yard. There is good parking in front and access. A very pleasant week.

Marie “Lovely cottage, everything you needed, warm, comfortable bed, welcome pack and flowers really nice touch, thank you we will hopefully return.”

John “This accommodation is in a delightful barn within a working farm.”
We found the barn very comfortable and homely. It is spacious and well equipped. It was lovely to be woken by the cows in the morning and greeted by two labradors for their treat! An added bonus was seeing two barn owls that were roosting in the roof of the barn. The barn is located close to Helston and within easy reach of St Ives, Porthleven, Falmouth, Mullion, Lizard and surrounding areas. We had a fantastic stay here and would not hesitate to book again. A big thank you to the hosts for leaving a cream tea and basic provisions for our arrival.
- John, July 2023 -
David “Superb accommodation.”
We have already said we will go back there. Clean, bright, super quiet and comfortable. It was lovely to hear the owls moving about in the roof at night and the 2 dogs were adorable. Thoroughly recommend Little Tregarrick.

Paul “A smart, comfortable and very well equipped cottage, in a great location for exploring the Lizard peninsula by car.”
Introductory scones and cream very welcome. Bus stops within 20 minutes brisk walk. Some minor points: A small sharp knife for peeling apples etc would be useful; a few light bulbs aren't working in the bathroom and kitchen; it would be useful to have a scourer and dishcloth, and even a couple of washing machine tablets, as this would avoid having to buy a whole pack when you only need one item.
- Paul, May 2023 -
Dave “Little Tregarrick was a perfect property for our stay.”
The cottage is spacious and comfortable with everything you could need. Located on a working farm, you would think you were in the middle of nowhere yet in 5 minutes you can be in Helston and a 15 minute walk brings you to Sainsburys. We loved waking up to the sound of the calves and the 2 farm dogs and numerous cats were very friendly. We had been looking for somewhere to stay in Cornwall since our previous host gave up letting his property where we had been coming for about 12 years. I think we have found a great replacement in Little Tregarrick, so much so we have already booked for next year. Thanks to Chris and family and hope Margaret recovers quickly from her broken hip. Look forward to meeting her next year.
- Dave, May 2023 -
Ann “We found the armchair was too soft and low to the ground.”
The basin plug needs replacing....it doesn`t keep the water in.

Stephen “I really enjoyed my two weeks in Little Tregarrick.”
The property is attached to Tregarrick farm which is a working fam but this in no way affected my stay in Little Tregarrick. The property is very spacious and comfortable and has all mod cons. Being in the countryside, it was wonderfully dark and quiet at night. The property is ideally situated for exploring the Lizard and all of Southwest Cornwall. I have no hesitation in recommending Little Tregarrick to couples looking for a quiet retreat in Southwest Cornwall, and I will definitely consider going back in the future.

Martyn “Really pleasant cottage perfectly placed for all we wanted to do.”
The cottage was very cosy and had all the amenities that we needed. If we were to stay in this area again we would definitely book this cottage again.
- Martyn, September 2022 -
Stella “The cottage is situated in a peaceful and rural location.”
It is very well equipped and I think the only thing I couldn't find was a small vegetable knife. We had stayed in the cottage before and would definitely stay there again.
- Stella, September 2022 -
Russell “Really great place for a holiday with easy access to public transport.”
It would be useful if basics like washing up liquid were provided.
- Russell, July 2022 -
Philip “Although we enjoy staying at Little Tregarrick there are one or two things which would improve our holiday.”
A teapot is necessary, dishcloths should be provided and hooks behind the bedroom and bathroom doors for dressing gowns. The towels are extremely hard and scratchy and there are no hand towels. We certainly did not like the huge television which has been put on the wall at the foot of the bed. It is very in-your-face and makes it very difficult to use the mirror on the chest of drawers. A simple picture to look at on the bedroom walls would be much better.
- Philip, June 2022 -
Paul “All areas found to be satisfactory and owner very friendly, only fault would be the seating in the lounge area which is no good for people to get out of as it is very low especially when awaiting hip operation.”
- Paul, June 2022 -
Ann “The property was well appointed very clean, and comfortable.”
Nice quiet relaxing surrounding. Well placed to visit lots of popular places. Would highly recommend to others.
- Ann, April 2022 -
Jackie “The cottage was just as described.”

E “Very happy with the property & our reception.”
Loved the space for us & the position out in the country. Should anyone have misfortune with their car, we can reccomend Nigel Thurley in Helston who did a great job for us
- E, March 2022 -
Philip “A comfortable warm cottage.”
Plenty of space and well equipped.
- Philip, February 2022 -
Fiona “Quiet, functional, well equipped and spacious cottage.”
Margaret was very attentive and her dogs were great!
- Fiona, February 2022 -
Jill “The holiday cottage was excellent, everything we expected and more.”
There was a lovely Cornish Tea waiting for us when we arrived and the owners were helpful and friendly. The only disappointment was that Sykes charged us twice for booking 2 weeks. It was a single booking and we were disappointed to be charged 2 booking fees. We've used other companies before who charged a single fee for 2 weeks as a single booking. Less likely to book with Sykes again.
- Jill, November 2021Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and the cottage as much as you did. With regards the booking fee, in the price breakdown it shows that you have only been charged one. We apologise for any confusion. - The Cornish Cottage Holidays Team Property Owner

Cathy “What a gem Little Tregarrick is.”
Would not hesitate to recommend.
- Cathy, November 2021 -
William “Being a retired farmer it was good to see other business owners.”
The whole family were most welcoming and we wish them well going forward with ROBOTIC Milking next year.Little Tregarrick is ideally situated for exploration of the Cornish coastline.A new mattress would be beneficial to the comfort of the cottage.
- William, September 2021 -
Paula “We had a lovely holiday and the owners and their family were very accommodating and helpful.”
The cottage is very close to animals and the flies were very bad in the hot weather. There wasn't a barbecue as listed but luckily we spoke to the owners beforehand and took our own. The manuals for the washer and the microwave were missing which made using the facilities a little challenging. The easy walk to the pub and shops in Helston was a definite attraction.
- Paula, July 2021 -
Richard “Lovely spacious conversion on a dairy farm.”
Very quiet and relaxing excellent for touring around. Chris and Margaret were perfect hosts.
- Richard, June 2021 -
Olwyn “Shower needs attention fitments worn need replacing water pressure low.”
Tablemats needed, toaster well worn, these just need updating as there will be a lot of wear and tear as this accommodation looks like it’s fully booked for quite a few months.
- Olwyn, June 2021 -
Colin “The host Margaret and Chris were wonderful”
- Colin, April 2021 -
K.r. “A lovely situated farm cottage despite being told of the recycling site and RAF helicopter station.”
Welcomed by a very friendly family.
- K.r., April 2021 -
Carolyn “Chris and Margaret and her family are wonderful hosts and we felt very at home in their cottage!”
We’d love to return one day!
- Carolyn, April 2021 -
alan “It was one of the most spacious cottages we have ever had and spotlessly clean.”
The owners Chris and Margaret were lovely.

Darryl “We enjoyed staying in little tregarrick very much and liked staying on dairy ...”
We enjoyed staying in little tregarrick very much and liked staying on dairy farm , the barn conversion was everything you could wish for , on arrival tea and coffee sugar and milk and everything you need for a cornish cream tea very welcome after a long journey from kent , we would definately recommend this location and property
- Darryl, September 2020 -
Robert “A really well designed cottage.”
Very spacious and with all the accessories necessary to make it an excellent self catering venue.
- Robert, September 2020 -
June “Lovely holiday cottage on a farm.”
Basically you have to drive to go anywhere but if you are happy with that it is a very comfortable, clean and fully equipped cottage. You are on a farm though so if you don't mind a few cows mooing early in the morning it's a nice place to stay.
- June, August 2020 -
David “The property was in a quiet location, which was good for the type of holiday we were looking for.”
Facilities were first class, only negatives, was that on arrival there were a few flies inside the property and one or two dead ones that could’ve been removed. And there were a couple of spiders webs.
- David, August 2019 -
Vicky “A lovely, roomy cottage on a working dairy farm.”
Chris and Margaret are very nice owners who made us feel very welcome. They added lots of detail to make our stay more comfortable but the one thing missing was WIFI as 4G or mobile signal at the farm and in the surrounding areas are very poor. If you wish to get-away from it all, that's not a problem, but family struggled to get in contact with us.
- Vicky, July 2019 -
Anne “Yet again another wonderful holiday at this lovely cottage.”
Margaret and Chris are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Everything went very smoothly from booking the holiday to the holiday itself.
- Anne, May 2019 -
Colin “It was awesome.”
Chris and Margaret are wonderful hosts. We will be going again.
- Colin, May 2019 -
Elaine “The farm is in a good location for exploring the area and for rest & relaxation.”
Facilities in the cottage are good, feels really spacious for two. WiFi would be a nice addition.
- Elaine, May 2019 -
Ann “The warm and generous welcome set the scene for a relaxed and comfortable stay.”
The cottage is very spacious, extremely well-equipped and in a convenient yet quiet location. The provision of local information aided the planning of days out while books and dvds were available should we need them.
- Ann, April 2019 -
Jane “The general standard of cleanliness in the cottage was not up to a 4 star rated holiday accommodation.”
I have emailed Alice in Customer Relations and attached photos of what we found on our arrival at Little Tregarrick and the following morning. The owner, as it says in your Customer Reviews, is indeed a very warm, friendly, helpful lady, and we agree with the feedback Little Tregarrick is indeed spacious accommodation, and the appliances were all in good working order. But the standard of cleanliness generally has not been maintained. We found clumps of hair on bedroom carpet, many cobwebs above bed and bedside lamps needed a good dust. Crumbs and food on floor in kitchen/dining area. The bathroom sink was not clean, there was scum and hair around one of the taps as well as in basin. There was thick dust on extractor hob in kitchen, on tv stand, glass table and dvd player, etc.etc. We were disappointed to say the least! We were grateful for the butterfly cakes and milk supplied, but would rather have had a clean cottage to welcome us!! Such a shame, because the area is beautiful, so from that point of view would recommend. **Owner Response** We are very sorry for any disappointment,. We have immediately undertaken a deep clean of Little Tregarrick. and will redecorate throughout, starting on Monday 28th January

Stella “The cottage was situated on a farm on the outskirts of Helston.”
The location was ideal for us, being very quiet and peaceful, yet within 10 minutes we could walk to the nearest pub, which also served food. We would definitely go back!
- Stella, September 2018 -
Martin “Loved the cottage and the location, and the hosts were extremely welcoming.”
We also enjoyed being close to a working farm and seeing how it all works
- Martin, July 2018 -
Samuel “A lovely place to stay with all the home comforts.”
Helston is a really good central position to travel either East or West to see many of the attractions on offer. Would not hesitate to recommend to others.
- Samuel, June 2018 -
Barbara “Fabulous location, handy for the coast, extremely rural yet close to all amenities.”
Hosts very friendly and welcoming.
- Barbara, June 2018 -
Anne “Margaret and Chris at Little Tregarrick are lovely people.”
They are so welcoming and friendly. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. It is in a location that is so quiet, relaxing and peaceful. It is also close to the places we like to visit, St Ives, The Lizard etc. As we are very much into wildlife and birds for us it was perfect. We loved it really is a home from home. There is also a Sainsbury's Supermarket close by.
- Anne, May 2018 -
Jo “This little cottage was alot bigger than expected and was so clean and laid out beautifully.”
Margaret gave us a lovely welcome and was easy to talk to -any questions just ask! A real hidden gem perfect for a couple or a small family xx

The property
Spacious and comfortable for two, Little Tregarrick is tucked away at the end of a private lane just outside the ancient market town of Helston.
The immediate surroundings are rural and green and yet the there is a pub/restaurant less than a mile away that can be reached by footpath across the fields on a summers evening.
The wide sandy beach at Loe Bar, just over two miles away can also be reached by foot through the beautiful National Trust land of the Penrose Estate.
Helston is great for morning coffee and has a few pubs and shops but for waterside eateries we suggest that you head to nearby Porthleven, a pretty fishing port on the south coast.
There are several good options here including the superb fusion restaurant Kota.
Porthleven is also home to several galleries and a weekly harbour market.
The town sits at the gateway to the Lizard Peninsula; a beautiful and unspoilt area of Cornwall that escapes the crowds.
Dotted with delightful fishing villages, pretty coves, sandy beaches and amazing walking we recommend Kynance Cove, Mullion, Coverack or Cadgwith for postcard prettiness.Forming the northern boundary to the Lizard Peninsula is the Helford River offering a Swallows and Amazons landscape of wooded valleys and creeks with boat trips and hire available from the twin villages of Helford and Helford Passage.
Situated on a working farm guests may experience the sounds and smells of the countryside and may be greeted by the 2 friendly working farm Labradors which roam at Little Tregarrick.
Attached to owner's farmhouse, the barn enjoys near complete privacy.
Once inside there is a lovely large central kitchen dining area which is flanked by the sitting room on one side and the bedroom on the other.
A spacious shower room completes the accommodation.
Outside is a private garden area with barbecue but guests also have access to the owners gardens which surround the farmhouse.
