“Cosy welcoming peaceful cottage with amazing sea views from back garden, we even saw a cruise ship passing by on Friday evening.”

Beds extremely comfy. Easy safe parking. Owner Janet lives next door & was very friendly lady & helpful with info upon our arrival, she also has the most friendly dog called Mandy who greeted us after our days out, wagging her tail with excitement! The cottage is set in a small village with beach below but car needed as very steep incline for walking back up unless you are 'super fit'. Ideal location for touring, we visited Eden Project, Mevagessey, Looe, Padstow, Newquay, Charlestown to name just a few places.

“There is rising damp in the bathroom and in one corner of the bedroom where there is also black mould growing up the corner, the exit has no way of seeing if anything is coming from either direction until you pull out , not very good as the cars seem to come down the lane quickly.”

Beautiful location down narrow road to property. Met by Janet who was so warm and friendly as was her husband Reg and their 4 legged friend. They never encroached on our stay at all even though next door. The property was roomy and comfortable with everything you needed for two. Plus a garden with gorgeous views. Location was good for us to reach places by car(much needed) Par sands, Padstow, Eden Project, even train to St Ives. Please go to local Porthpean beach, a little gem we took car down as too hilly for us. Highly recommended. Thankyou.

Well situated for walking to and fro beach which has clear safe water for swimming and Sandy beach. Really warm welcome from Janet Reg and Mandy the owners who live next door. Many thanks for the welcoming Asda voucher too . This was a lovely surprise. Good facilities for off road parking and the garden has good views out to sea. We had great weather too for our week and so had everything we could have needed for great hols. Many thanks to Janet and reg and Mandy our four footed friend who greeted us in mornings and evenings. We will be back in the future .

“Casa Mia was bigger than we expected - very cosy, ideal base for visiting Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey, Looe and Padstow etc.”

Local beach just five minutes walk and lovely pubs and restaurants etc within a few minutes drive. The owners live next door to the property and they were very helpful with local information - and we also got a £20 Asda voucher for groceries when we arrived! Would definitely visit again

The cottage is just a few minutes' drive from St. Austell, the Eden Project, and numerous coastal resorts around St. Austell Bay including Carlyon Bay, Par Sands and the quaint harbour village of Charlestown.

Walkers and garden lovers are ideally placed for exploring the many beautiful Cornish gardens including Heligan, Tregrehan, and Caerhays Castle.

ST. AUSTELL

Charlestown 2 miles; Carlyon Bay 3 miles; Mevagissey 6 miles; Fowey 8 miles.

The old market town of St Austell, just a mile or two from the south coast, is famous as the historic centre of the china clay mining industry. Today, its many beaches and its sub-tropical gardens provide plenty to see and do. The wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are perfect for a family day out, and a little further afield Caerhays Castle provides a stunning backdrop to Porthluny Cove. On the edge of town, St Austell Brewery offers tours of the Victorian brewing equipment and a chance to sample the local beer, and for those looking for surf and sand, St Austell Bay has several beaches to choose from - Porthpean, Carlyon Bay, Pentewan, Polkerris - the last offering a variety of water-sports. As well as a small shingle beach, Charlestown, a pretty, historic port, often has wooden sailing ships in the harbour, and is popular as a film location. A little further afield are Fowey and its beautiful estuary to the east and the fishing port of Mevagissey to the west. With lots to do and something to keep the whole family entertained, St Austell is a great year-round destination.
