“This was a lovely spacious cottage where we spent a very happy week.”
It was very comfortable, with lots of seating , quality furniture, a lovely kitchen with plenty of crockery and equipment. We didn't watch much TV , but there were lots of interesting and varied DVDs. And a great selection of games and novels.
However, two criticisms: the mattress in the bedroom with the TV , was very soft and not conducive to a good night's sleep. My son and daughter in law complained about it. The other double was ok but not as comfortable as our bed at home. The twin beds were fine. Good mattresses are very important.
The other criticism was ...no heating when we arrived. I contacted the agent, she gave advice but it took a while before it was sorted and it was not something I could have done myself so was glad my son sorted it....though too late for hot water for my grandson's bath. The heating went off again later in the week ,and again my son rebooted it. However, I felt that this could have been a real problem for older folk like me and my husband. The problem was exacerbated by intermittent phone signal when trying to get instructions from the agent.
