Beachcliff

A very spacious bungalow, extremely comfortable with a large veranda overlooking the large lawn and straight out to the sea.

3 minutes walk to the little harbour and Beach. Lovely walks East and West over the cliffs. There is plenty of parking space for at least 3 cars and dogs love it!

The cottage has been nicely updated, introducing modern facilities but retaining much of the period charm.

It is clearly a much loved family home, as well as a holiday let. The location is perfect, with lovely sea views and easy access to the coastal path. The walk to Mevagissey via Chapel Point is particularly good and we saw seals bobbing just off the shore. It’s a short stroll into the village, where you will find great fish and chips and a good shop. Lost Gardens of Heligan is ten minutes drive and the Eden Project is also nearby. We had a lovely week here and would highly recommend it.

We had the most wonderful week at Beachcliff.

It’s our sixth year coming to Gorran Haven, staying in different dog friendly houses and this is the best one, hands down. Waking up to that view makes the holiday. We will be back!

We had the most perfect stay at Beachcliff!

It is the most beautiful, well equipped and cosy 'cottage', we also loved reading about the history of Beachcliff and you can tell it is much loved by the family who own it. The view from the veranda is spectacular, and we had everything we needed for a week's holiday. We particularly loved all the old books available to read, most about Gorran Haven and Cornwall, and appreciated the boardgames and jigsaws too. We have a VW passat estate and had no issue at all getting on the driveway, you just need to align the car right. Gorran Haven is a very special place, quiet and seemingly untouched, with a lovely community and beaches. We'll definitely be staying again and cannot thank the owners enough for sharing their special holiday home with us.

Beachcliff is in a wonderful position in Gorran Haven, a village we love for its unspoilt character.

The sea views from the house are magnificent and the village has remarkably good shop, cafe and fish and chip restaurant. The swimming and walking opportunities are outstanding. The house is spacious and comfortable - we felt relaxed and at home there. (In an ideal world, there would have been a dishwasher and more fridge/freezer space, but we could see that this might be awkward to fit in.) We are already planning to return to Beachcliff and looking forward to another wonderful holiday there.

The property is as described and it was comfortable in many ways.

Unfortunately, in one of the coldest weeks of the year so far, the heating was off when we got there and as it was night-storage heaters they never really came into use until the next day. However, we were supplied with wood and coal so both fires were lit fairly rapidly which really warmed up the living room and kitchen. There was a small mobile heater in the back bedroom that we put into our bedroom as it had no heating. Having said all that we had a very peaceful and happy week, we loved the bungalow, and it was only the heating that let the cottage down.

Beachcliff had a beautiful aspect over the sea. 2. Well equipped bungalow 3. Some areas tired and musty smell due to dampness. 4. Vehicular access through the large gate was a tight squeeze for my VW Tiguan. Anyone with a longer car would not be able to drive through this gate due to the narrow street. I feel this should be pointed out when listing the property. Overall we had a lovely stay in a stunning location.

The house was, on balance, delightful.

The location is superb with a panoramic sea view. Walking to the harbour, beach and Cakebreads was close, if a steep hill. The house had character and an interesting history. The worst issue is getting the car into and out of the garden with substantial solid gateposts only a few millimetres on each side of my car, which is only of medium size. They should come down with a recessed and wider opening and a proper surfaced parking area provided. Lynn and Geoff July 2024

We thought the cottage was utterly charming.

We’ve stayed at 8 different places in GH now as we go there every year. We've stayed in one place ( Trelawney) 3 times. We’ve stayed in places with much better facilities, places with dishwashers, laundry rooms with dryers, en-suites and places a with rooms to hang wetsuits, however despite theses things we will be returning to BeachCliff as nothing we’ve stayed in yet offers the charm, the veranda and the view . We were all very sad to leave.

The property is in a excellent location , outstanding sea view , 1min to beach and small harbour + a couple of shops and bar.

Also mevagissey, lost garden of heligan a short drive away. Over all property was good everything was there for your needs.

Stunning location above Little Perhaver Beach, watching the tide come and go was an amazing experience, along with sound of the sea waves, washing onto the beach below.

Beachcliff was a very obviously loved property that the owners have stamped their own identity on. The coal and log fires were a lovely touch in the evenings, during the stormy nights, giving the property a lovely cosy warm feel. Immaculatly clean, with very comfortable beds adding to the relaxing stay. This lovely property grow on me day by day as week went on, meaning I I didn't want to leave... I will definitely be back in the near future,

It would have been helpful to have some instructions for the cooker and microwave.

It took us ages to work out the microwave - maybe it was just us!! Beds and settees were very comfortable.

This is a lovely bungalow in Gorran Haven with lovely views of the bay.

It is very comfortable and only a short distance from both the beach and the south west coastal path.

Great venue and location.

Beds very comfortable and the weather was a real bonus.
