Set among the picturesque countryside in Broad Langdon, Cornwall lies Fern, a quaint and quirky shepherd's hut, perfect for a romantic retreat.

With a wood-fired hot tub, off-road parking and a fabulous garden area, this hut has all you need for a self-catering stay in a peaceful area.

Inside the hut has an elevated bed with storage for your belongings, a compact shower room, and a handy kitchenette, so you can whip up a quick lunch to enjoy outside or out on your adventures.

Make the most of the garden; filled with wildflowers and plenty of seating, your morning coffee out in the fresh air will feel that bit more special, while your evenings can be spent gazing up at the stars from the hot tub.

The nearby town of Jacobstow and village of Wainhouse Corner are home to shops where you can stock up on any necessities as well as pubs with delicious food and excellent ales that are ideal for a romantic night.

The seaside town of Bude is the perfect place to spend an afternoon in the sun, with its variety of beautiful beaches, all of which have rolling waves that make them very popular with surfers; there are also rockpools to explore at low tide, and cafés where you can relax and take in the scenery.

Aside from a wide variety of stores, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, there is also an indoor pool, a fantastic golf course, a bowling alley, and a gorgeous 19th-century castle.

Join the South West Coast Path, which encircles the entire coast, and travel west along it toward the historic village of Tintage; along the way, you'll pass a number of beaches and coves, Pentargon Waterfall at Boscastle, the eerie Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, and St. Nectan's Glen nature reserve, which has a 60-foot waterfall.

Tintagel Castle, whose ruins, along with Merlin's Cave, the Gallos Sculpture, and the ancient Old Post Office, are all well worth exploring, and Tintagel itself has a rich history and is renowned for being the birthplace of King Arthur.

Make memories as a solo traveller or with your other half, with a stay at Fern.
