“Stayed in the same cottage 3 years ago.”

1 more comfy seat needed as 6 person, but settee space 5.

1 more comfy seat needed as 6 person, but settee space 5. Hot water, not a big enough tank for 6 holiday makers. After doing washing up, not enough to have a bath. Water system very loud upstairs, so no pulling of flush during the night.

“Very Roomy, nice location, lovely surroundings, the owners were very friendly and accommodating, the cottage had everything we needed , except for a hairdryer, which the owners kindly loaned us one.”

We would love to enjoy another holiday there in the future.

“Lee Barton cottages is a great country venue.”

Fantastic views across the landscape. You feel you away from everything else whilst still having easy access to other parts of Cornwall. Welcoming host and the experience of being on the edge of a farm. Garden area large and well kept. An interesting place to be. One very minor issue and that is the supply of hairdryer or tell us we need to bring one.

Nice large shared garden area at front for crawling and playing catch with dog. Within 15 mins drive to bude, 8mins drive to beach or 40 mins walk

“The cottage is situated on a farm in beautiful setting, we were pleased that we had our own outdoor space/garden that was we'll maintained.”

The cottage it self was clean and well presented with everything you need. The only down side was the squeaky floorboards upstairs particularly in the twin bedroom but we soon got used to were to tread. Would definitely recommend and will return.

The farm and the cottage was situated in rural and peaceful area, yet still very close to the gorgeous beaches, coastal walks and Bude. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Would warmly recommend based on our experience.

The cottage was spacious and comfortable but I don't think the place had been cleaned to COVID-19 standards, cobwebs everywhere cutlery, crockery and glassware all had to be washed and cleaned

Host was friendly and very welcoming. Excellent knowledge of places to visit and restaurants. Local shop not too far away. Close to beautiful beaches and walks. We felt reassured the cottage had received a COVID prevention clean. We were very fortunate to be able to take our dog. Highly recommended for a peaceful holiday.

Lee Barton Farm

Amidst beautiful countryside, close to the North Cornwall coast is Lee Barton Farm. Family run for generations, you're assured of a warm welcome. Explore the 10 acres of woods and grounds or relax with a picnic around one of the pretty wildlife ponds. The National Trust's Duckpool, a remote beach with rock pools overlooked by cliffs is just 2 miles by road or can be reached via a picturesque walk leading from the farm. Nearby Bude has two further excellent sandy beaches and a good selection of cafes, pubs, shops and restaurants.

The property

Two miles from Kilkhampton and part of the 200 acre Lee Barton Farm estate, Swallow Cottage is a handsome former stone barn, now converted to comfortable accommodation.

The sitting area is bright and welcoming with a dining area, whilst the neat kitchen has a breakfast table and chairs.

On the first floor, three bedrooms, a double, a twin and a room with bunks are restful and offer flexible sleeping arrangements for families and friends.

Outside you'll find a large, enclosed lawned garden with seating.

Convenient, comfortable and close to beaches Swallow Cottage is a homely base in this lovely part of Cornwall.

Note: There are a number of ponds at this property, children should be supervised. Note: This property has a 4.30pm arrival time. Kilkhampton is an historic Cornish village, 4 miles from the popular Victorian seaside resort of Bude, one of Cornwall’s premier holiday locations. With its old church, village shops and atmospheric village pubs, Kilkhampton is a lovely place to relax after a hard day exploring the stunning beaches and spectacular coastal scenery for which the area is famous. Bude’s beaches attract surfers from all over the country and when conditions are right you’d be hard pushed to find better surf. When the tide is out, miles of golden sand and hundreds of rock pools keep visitors occupied for hours. The South West Coast Path, and many other rights-of-way winding over the clifftops and through lush green fields looking out over the sea, make this area a haven for walkers and lovers of the open countryside. For those who prefer staying closer to home, a good shopping centre and a selection of pubs, two clubs and restaurants are on offer. Bude canal, a registered nature reserve, passes through the town, and rowing a boat along its calm waters or walking the towpath among the beautiful (and friendly) water fowl that live among the reeds is a great way to spend an hour or two. Within the area there are also 2 golf courses, an indoor swimming pool, bowling alley at the leisure centre. A perfect location for all that North Cornwall has to offer.
