The pictures don't even do the cottage justice.

It's a really lovely place, big enough but cosy, in an idyllic setting and quiet location. We'd recommend it to all. I do agree with a previous reviver though that a vacuum cleaner for the cottage would be handy.

This was a lovely cottage to stay in.

Very comfortable beds, lovely and clean and quiet. The owner was very helpful. We thoroughly recommend staying in this cottage.

We had a lovely stay at The Cottage which my husband & myself thoroughly enjoyed.

However, our daughters 33 & 27 stayed in the 2nd bedroom and as mentioned by a previous guest, the huge Aga pipe is a bit of an issue as there is no way to cool the room down on a hot day/night (we actually had a hot week weather wise) luckily I had taken a fan with us (due to reading the previous review) but it did little to counteract the large heated pipe. The ground's are private & could be lovely with a bit of tlc & some garden furniture for the lawned area. The pub style bench nearer the house is great for eating at but not comfortable to relax & enjoy the garden/weather. Yes, the old butler sink is chipped but there is a washing up bowl so really not an issue. The above said, this is an older property of character and was approximately half the price in August of others of a similar ilk that have been renovated. The location is convenient, the property is clean, the beds are comfortable, the shower was hot which is all we ask for. One note of caution, the position of the bed in the main bedroom and the sofa in the lounge are immediate under the windows and therefore it is easy to hit the back of your head on the window ledges…numerous times it would seem

Amazing cottage, its a hidden gem.

Weve been here twice now and we've always enjoyed our stay, the owners are lovely . The Arga is amazing we enjoyed a lovely roast dinner from this . Perfect location and not too far to get to the beautiful beaches. Such a cosy little home Emma and Martin

The cottage was excellent, airy and spacious in a pleasant setting.

We loved the undisturbing hum of the Aga. The owner was most helpful. Given some previous reviewers' concerns, the cottage looks recently refurbished. Recommended!

Very authentic Cornish cottage full of the owners character and a delight to find little gems of personality.

The Aga makes the cottage cosy but you really need the windows open in the twin room above it where the flue is. Full of home comforts and wonderful pillows! Don’t expect the Ritz but do expect an unspoilt cosy home.

The approach was overgrown neglected & rundown inside was dark.

living room chairs were old wooden garden recliners,dining chairs were odd.Kitchen Aga was dirty,no instructions sink very badly chipped all over and filthy.Dish washer wasn't working.Huge pipe from Aga in twin room very hot to touch & gave out massive heat day & night.Only trickle of hot water from bathroom washbasin.BBQ rusted shut.Had to complain twice about loud music next door & dog barking in our garden at night.Left early unpleasant experience

Cosy and nicely secluded, private and quiet.

The owner kindly provided kindling and logs for the woodburner. An ideal base for visiting the surrounding places of interest. Just one small observation rather than criticism, The cottage could do with its own vacuum cleaner. But we had a really relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thank you... Well equipped kitchen with an AGA, really enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic time at the cottage.

It is such a beautiful place - the photos on the site don't really do justice to it. It is so secluded and private and perfectly positioned to take advantage of all that Cornwall has to offer. We had a lot of rain during our stay, but even the days when it was too heavy to venture out we didn't worry too much, as the peace and quiet of the cottage made those days so relaxing. Will definitly book again in the future!

Clean comfortable cottage in a quiet location.

Ideal base for exploring the beautiful North Cornwall coast with it's fabulous dog friendly beaches. Well worth a visit.

Jeremy was very helpful and responded quickly to any queries.

The cottage was lovely and we would definitely return when visiting this part of Cornwall.

Lots of space outside for our dog. No microwave (details said that there was one). There were no instructions at all. AGA cooker was not hot enough. Gas hobs had no means of lighting them so first night we had to rely totally on the Aga. The roasting trays/Pyrex dishes were very grubby. ‘Hot’ water was nowhere near hot enough to wash up. Bathroom hot water was a merely a trickle. Shower was good. WiFi was poor and totally unreliable so had problems with connecting to internet & watching tv. There was no battery cover on tv remote (possibly a safety issue with small children). Very quiet and peaceful location .

A beautiful cottage that on arrival looked wonderful through the blossom on the trees and the numerous flowers and other trees.

A great open plan layout and comfortable seating in all areas. I really enjoyed cooking on the Aga and found it really easy to use. The garden is a great place to relax with a wonderful variety of plants and flowers. The bedding was clean and fresh, the bathroom comfortable and a good shower. I enjoyed a good deep bath also. The owner was helpful and easy to contact. Local shop and pub within walking distance. A great hideaway for a peaceful break.

The Cottage is absolutely lovely.

Quiet location and perfectly placed for exploring the area. The owner is extremely helpful. Everything was perfect for me. I hope to return.
