    “This property is in a quiet and beautiful setting with a couple of other properties ( one being the owners).”

    We were able to sit out in the sun on the patio watching the rabbits and listening to the birds. The property was cosy and cute and big enough for two. We were able to make meals and cooked breakfasts with enough equipment but there could have been more and of better quality. The microwave looked like it needed replacing and our toaster didn’t work (although this was dealt with quickly). There weren’t any pasta bowls as previously said and there wasn’t a bottle stop for wine. There ...

The microwave looked like it needed replacing and our toaster didn’t work (although this was dealt with quickly). There weren’t any pasta bowls as previously said and there wasn’t a bottle stop for wine. There weren’t any instructions on the induction hob although we worked it out. A guest book would have been good so we could have passed on recommendations for places to visit/pubs/restaurants and similarly it would have helped us. There weren’t any welcome items but not everyone provides these. These were minor things but overall it gave us the impression that this was more of a business transaction rather than a personal one. The mattress wasn’t overly comfortable and again a bit more of the luxury items would have been good. There was a road closure when we were there and we came in from a different road so we rang the two numbers provided but we didn’t get any reply. We made friends with the locals who helped us out. The owner did call at some point ahead but we’d arrived by that time. The table and sofa and bbq seen in the listing weren’t there but there was a metal couple of chairs and table. Overall the property is of a good standard and we would recommend as the location is very good. Just feel a few things need addressing to make it a bit more comfortable/luxurious together with a more personal touch. The polgooth Inn was a 10 minute walk with good food and a great Sunday dinner.

Just 3 miles from the sea, the village is close to several lovely beaches, and the south-west coastal path also runs close by. The area has a host of visitor attractions, with the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Tall Ships Harbour at Charlestown all within a 15 minute drive.
