Ty Bryn

From the minute we walked into the cottage, we knew we’d made the right decision booking Ty Bryn for our family holiday.

Wow the view that greeted us from the dining room!!! Top notch fixtures and fittings and decor. Incredibly comfortable beds, no light pollution and quiet for fully restful sleep……oh and did we mention the incredible view out the back. Breakfast on the patio with views across to St Michael’s Mount were unbeatable. We had a wonderful holiday, would highly recommend Ty Bryn and we will book again in the future.

We spent a very enjoyable week at Ty Bryn, five family members, all adult.

We loved the outdoor seating looking at St. Michael's Mount, the location of the cottage was great, and we used the bus which stopped nearby for days out in Penzance, Falmouth and Mousehole. We went to the Falmouh sea-shanty festival which was a real highlight of our week. We would have liked somewhere to put our food shopping, and a few hooks in the hall and the bedrooms would be useful. Otherwise, perfect. Thank you.

Our third stay at Ty Bryn because we love the house, the location.

Super comfortable beds; quality furnishings and beautiful art on walls make it a favourite destination for us. We hope to return.

The property was excellent and very clean, unfortunately the heating did not appear to have been set to come on and was very cold until we worked out how to switch the heating on.

Also the coffee machine did not appear to work, other wise it was amazing

Very clean and comfortable stay, the property all looked freshly decorated and tastefully finished.

The games and binoculars were particularly useful as was the folder advising about the area etc. The garage was too small for our car but we managed to find parking fairly close. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property to others, thank you.

We love Ty Bryn - superb location with exceptional views and so well appointed with nice art and decor.

We spent a lovely mostly sunny autumnal week at Ty Bryn and the highlight on arrival at the cottage was the view and rear garden overlooking St Michael’s Mount and the bay, fabulous!

The interior accommodation is modern and comfortable though as three tall adults of retirement age we took it in turns to sit on the lounge sofa in the evenings as the two smaller chairs aren’t really suitable for lounging in for say, watching a movie. WiFi was good, plenty of board games in the cupboard, a good range of reading books and the kitchen was great! Thank you for the very welcome cream tea and Prosecco, perfect! Everything was spotless and we used all three bedrooms, plenty of space for keeping our clothes etc though classic steep and winding cottage staircases, be careful if slightly unsteady on your feet! The wonderful balcony on the first floor had very comfortable chairs with cushions for extra comfort and again…that view!

We have really enjoyed our stay in the Ty Bryn.

Everything was well prepared, including a nice welcome's bottle. We have been with a party of 5 and had space enough, cooking was a pleasure and the little fireplace very cozy. Very recommendable place. Paul & Daniela.

The cottage was fantastic.

Beautifully appointed and comfortable. Decent beds for a great nights sleep. The outstanding feature was the view from the house over Mounts Bay. We were blessed with superb weather giving gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and ever changing views of St Michael’s Mount. Would love to return. Just one thing which I meant to write a note about but forgot - the freezer urgently needs to be defrosted. Thanks for a great holiday.

My family of 4 only had 3 nights at Ty Bryn.

I wish we could have stayed longer. A beautiful retreat has been created by the home owner. There were scones with clotted cream and a small bottle of Prosecco left for our arrival.There is a welcome binder that has all the information needed to have an enjoyable stay at Ty Bryn complete with owners manuals for the appliances. One of the best views in Cornwall right off the veranda. Easy walk to the village for dining and the beach for sunning. Though it was high season, Marazion was far less crowded than some of the other places we day tripped to. Backing into the assigned garage with our small SUV proved to be a little challenging but my husband was able to do it without scratching the paint every time we took the car out. It was so nice not having to worry about where we were going to park after a day of exploring the Cornwall peninsula. The only disappointment was that my husband didn’t build more time into our schedule to just relax and enjoy being at Ty Bryn and Marazion.

Perfect holiday home , excellent facilities and comfortable beds, there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't available.

The views are stunning. Marazion is such a beautiful place. We were perfectly placed for exploring the surrounding area. The only negative for us was that we had a large car and couldn't fit in the garage , this was explained in the property description though! We did manage to find parking in the estate above, however not sure how easy that would be in high season. We had a lovely holiday, thank you!

This was my second holiday staying at Ty Bryn: I have had an extremely happy and peaceful time again in this lovely, lovely property.

After a morning meandering around Marazion and walking along the beautiful coastline it was a real joy to come back to the house and light the wood burner and settle in to a cosy night with everything you need for a brilliant self-catering holiday. This was only my second holiday in Cornwall but I’m very quickly building up lovely memories thanks to this special house. Incidentally Marazion is a brilliant little town and the two compliment each other. It goes without saying that I will stay again at Ty Bryn only next time it’s got to be for two weeks.

The first was a week in June and we’ve just got back from celebrating Christmas here as a family for the week. A stunningly beautiful, well maintained house with high quality decor and breathtaking views of the Cornish coast and St Michael’s Mount. The owners have gone above and beyond to ensure those staying have a wonderful time - from a jam packed welcome hamper to luxury bedding and gorgeous framed pictures throughout. There’s nothing we would change! It’s a perfect retreat and we feel so lucky to have found it. Will definitely be back again!!

Absolutely Beautiful cottage and place to stay; A lovely, lovely week and dream of a holiday.

I felt that Ty Bryn was everything and more that I could have imagined and hoped for, so clean and equipped and maintained to a very high standard of living and quality of interiors. After a day of great peace and tranquility walking along the coastline to return to Ty Bryn was brilliant with its cosy atmosphere and of course the wood burner which was the icing on the cake for me. By the time Tuesday came I had already booked another week for late February. Really, really peaceful and lovely and everything I had hoped to find. It was clear from the moment I opened the door that Ty Bryn is a special place to stay.

It’s a lovely property that we have returned to as we liked it so much.

Beautiful views of the sea, and the cottage has everything you need for a comfortable , relaxing holiday.

Perfect cottage, couldn’t fault a thing.

The view from the back of the property is absolutely stunning! As previously mentioned, parking a large car in the garage may be difficult. As we went with 2 cars, we paid the fire engine pub to park one car. Would definitely return.

First of all Ty Bryn is just like the pictures on the website it a beautiful property and decorated to a high standard.

We loved the wood fire the kitchen has everything we needed, we couldn't of asked for better. The views from the back garden were fantastic looking out onto St Michaels Mount which is worth a visit but would recommend taking a picnic. We had a great week and got lucky with the weather, I would recommend Ty Bryn. I'd just like to point out a couple of things; The Directions say when you come from Turnpike road onto Higher Fore St Ty Bryn is before the pub on the right, but coming from that direction it is after the pub on the left. and there could do with numbers on the garage as we were a bit confused which was ours, and some details about the garage door keys would be useful, although we managed to park an estate car in there it was a but of squeeze getting out of the car but did close the garage door, it was good having the garage measurement before we went that helped a lot but some details about the keys for the garage would be useful. We don't think the tumble dryer is working, the downstairs toilet seat was broken. I would like to recommend a shelf to put in the downstairs shower, maybe I'm just fussy! but this really is a lovely place to stay and would book again. Thank you

A lovely little cottage with superb views of St Michael's Mount.

The cottage had excellent facilities and the bedrooms were comfortable. The off road parking in the garage is only for small cars do not attempt with the large SUV.

Really lovely property, would love to come back.

Fantastic cottage with marvellous views across the bay.

However when booked in March it was stated that parking was a small garage with off road parking for one car. This was not the case. I was only able to park half in the garage and I only have an ecosport. Anything larger and you have a real problem. Also the balcony and terrace would benefit from some shade.
