“This place merits 11 out of 10, the cottage is delightful, the views are stunning, Dee the owner is exceptional and a very nice pub is a ten minute stroll away.”

The Cottage has the feel of a home rather than a holiday let. I would heartily recommend it.

Perched on the outskirts of the quaint village of Ludgvan in Cornwall, is this charming cottage set in a former school, previously the headmaster’s office dating 1860, the boutique style space is beautifully furnished and sleeps 2 guests.

The cottage is perched above the lower village and enjoys breathtaking views of St Michael’s mount and the sweeping fields of Ludgvan and crowlas. The private garden is a delight and offers a view to the sloping fields of the upper village and the historic church of Ludgvan.

For a truly relaxing experience you're able to request private use of the wood fired barrel sauna or cold plunge at the property.

Cross the road and just across from the cottage is the famous village bench, offering sweeping and unobstructed views of St Michaels mount all year around, perched majestically on a small island off of Marazion beach, merely a 5 mins drive away. Two off-road parking spaces greet you upon your arrival, along with a large shared communal garden and the ancient stone wall that borders the property. There is quite a large utility room for anything you need to store while holidaying in Cornwall: hiking bots and bags, surfboards, bikes, luggage, wetsuits, etc. The double bedroom is an airy and bright room, delightfully decorated and enjoying beautiful sea views, mornings at the cottage are a true delight, open the stable single door of the cottage to be greeted with the magical view of the lower village and a huge private space to play with your dog. If you can tear yourself away from this delightful dwelling, the owner kindly offers a kennel service so you can leave your four-legged friend to rest while you venture out for a date night.

The cottage is ideally situated 5.5 miles from st ives, 2.3 miles from Penzance, within 6 minutes are the sandy beaches of Marazion and within 20 minutes you're in Sennen cove and lands end. Walk out of the cottage to stunning forest and coastal paths walks, and a 5 minute walk up to the lovely White Hart pub where you can enjoy a well-deserved drink and a tasty meal on those nights where you don’t feel like cooking. Within minutes, you can drive to St Michaels Mount Boat, and take a ferry service which offers trips to the island to explore the impressive medieval castle, vibrant gardens and a 15th century church. Tremenhere sculpture gardens are a short drive from the cottage, as well as Penzance and st ives where you can visit historical landmarks and enjoy a romantic stroll along the Promenade, before heading to the harbour where you can treat yourself to a bite to eat at the great selection of eateries.
