Ocean Seven

Location is ideal for everything.

The property was immaculate, totally as described on the Sykes website. Communication with the owner was brilliant. She obviously cares about her customers and was very helpful when we encountered a small issue with the newly installed WiFi hub. All in all a superb week was had by all. When I can get others interested to commit, we’ll definitely come again. Grandchildren loved the ‘upside down’ of it, ie bedrooms downstairs, living room upstairs! Thank you Mr and Mrs Wilkinson.

I chose this property as we were attending an event at Lusty Glaze beach and it was perfect.

The location is perfectly placed on the cliff top with views to die for. Watching the sunset from the lounge or on the terrace was amazing. I travelled with my wife and 4 grown up kids, and the property has ample space, the lounge has a massive sofa where you can all sit, chat and take in the backdrop of the ocean through the bifold doors. The location is fantastic if you want to be near to Newquay without the noise. Everyone loved it. I would strongly recommend this property for large families or groups of friends. It’s fully equipped with everything you’d need for a fantastic experience.

Beautiful, spacious and very clean apartment with the most fabulous sea view, the sun sets were amazing!

The apartment is in a fantastic location, just a few minutes walk to Lusty Glaze beach and Tolcarne beach. There's a really good bakery and also a Spar and Tesco Express located just a few minutes walk away. There's loads to do in and around Newquay, the zoo is lovely and there's a great pitch and putt course at Holywell Bay (short drive away). We'd recommend the cafe at Heron Tennis Centre for a lovely lunch. We had a super holiday and would love to return in the future.

This was our 2nd stay at Ocean Seven and again thd weather was not the best but loved our stsy.

Great place to stay in perfect location to explore Cornwall. The hosts stay in touch during your stay and replaced the broken kettle straight away which was much appreciated. Would highly recommend. Am sure we ll be back sgain !

Brilliant place to stay everything you need and loved the welcome pack left for us

We had a fabulous holiday at ocean seven The house was so comfortable, clean and in a beautiful location.

Jacky the owner was most accommodating. The milk, bread, cake, biscuits were a lovely surprise, thankyou jacky. We will definitely be returning to this gorgeous house.

Absolutely lovely accomodation - very well furnished and supplied, spotlessly clean, everything very comfortable, great location, amazing views, fantastic welcome pack, I can't recommend enough!

Like staying in a high end hotel, and the communication with Jacky and David was excellent.

Amazing property, clean and as described Lots of space.

Sunset views over the coast were stunning. Host responded to any questions quickly.

Great location, really good size apartment and clean.

Good contact with owners. They also left some goodies and card on arrival which was nice. We would definitely stay there again.

Where do I begin, we have been coming to Cornwall as a family for years and this was by far the best place we have ever stayed!

The property was better than we could have ever imagined, the pictures don’t do it justice. The view is absolutely stunning and watching the sunset every night was such a treat. We had everything that we needed, and the welcome pack was the loveliest surprise and so generous and thoughtful. The communication from Jacky was brilliant, checking in to see if we needed anything, what a great host. I’ve already recommended the apartment to multiple friends who are looking to book a holiday to stay!

Beautiful property.

Everything we needed and as described.

A really lovely apartment.

Really clean and well maintained with views to die for

This was a beautifully appointed home in a fabulous location.

Ocean 7 is perfectly positioned as a base for a Cornish seaside holiday, being in an enviable position at the northern end of Newquay. The house itself is so comfortable and the owners couldn't have gone to more trouble to ensure guests have a great stay. Their care and consideration was evident everywhere, from the thoughtful welcome pack to the range of books and games - even a large DVD library catering for all tastes. We would go back tomorrow if we could!

Had a wonderful week at Ocean Seven, its a lovely cosy apartment.

Clean, everything you could ask for is there. Jackie and David the owners are lovely people in contact with you checking all is OK through your holiday. Was a lovely surprise when we arrived to find that Jackie had left a welcome package for us and a little note. Was such a wonderful thoughtful touch. Thank you Jackie and David we will definitely be back.

Ocean seven was the perfect accommodation for our stay of 4 adults.

The views are amazing and the house is in a great location. The owners have made sure you have everything you need for a home from home experience and left us a wonderful welcome pack of essentials. They have been super responsive and I look forward to future return visits.

Ocean Seven was a great base for our August week long break in Newquay.

Loved the large beautifully decorated bedrooms with quality linen, large bathroom with jet tub, and the open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with great views over the grassland out to sea. All well equipped, clean and extra thoughtful touches all around.

Lovely comfortable and homely property.

Gorgeous views and great location. Excellent communication from owners who really seem to care about their guests. Welcome treats were a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely property in a great location.

Great communication from owners. We'll definitely return to beautiful Cornwall.

This was our second time staying at Ocean Seven and we loved it.

It is super close to several beautiful beaches and walkable into the centre of Newquay, but nice and quiet, so the location is wonderful. The property is really comfortable, has great facilities and is really clean, with a thoughtful gift bundle of food. We really enjoy staying here and would recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views and less than a five minute walk to the shops and restaurants.

A lovely welcome basket on arrival, and the owners were super responsive with any queries we had. Highly recommend!!

The property we stayed in was absolutely perfect in every way.

My family couldn't get over the view and there was so much to do locally. The comfort was 10 on 10 absolutely beautiful. Thank you to Jacky and partner who were in contact with us every step of the way. We will most definitely be visiting again some time.

We really enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was clean, and close to several beaches, shops and takeaways.. Parking was off road. There is a great view over the sea. The sunsets were amazing! Highly recommend.

We love staying at Ocean Seven, it has everything you need and more.

Really nicely decorated, well equipped, we could happily live there. The hosts Jacky and David are lovely, they are on hand if you need them and the welcome hamper was really nice! The views are incredible, it's a great location and very handy for walking into Porth not just Newquay. We had a fantastic week, thank you so much!

We have just returned from a week's holiday at this property.

I cannot rate this highly enough, beautiful quiet apartment right on top of a beach. Within walking distance of Newquays high street, pubs and restaurants. The apartment is spotless, beautifully decorated and so very well-maintained. Communication with the owners was fantastic and the hamper they left for us was a lovely touch. Looking forward to returning. Thank you so much!

The holiday property was immaculate and the hosts were amazing .

We stayed for a week to celebrate two birthdays in our family and the hosts were so kind nothing was too much trouble. Everything we could possibly need was in the property. They Jacky &David even left us a treat hamper with delicious local fayre and a birthday card ,such a lovely special touch. The weather was fantastic too.Thank You so much we loved it .

Just over the road from the cliffs and coastal footpath means this apartment is hard to better for views.

Add in the short walk to the town centre and a parking space and you have a fantastic place to stay. Jacky and David are just round the corner so when you summon help it arrives quickly. Where I feel it's a 4 star rather than the 5 star it could so easily be is in the quality of the fittings. The beds have seen better days (even the mattress toppers couldn't hide the feel of the springs). The tv only had basic channels as it was not a smart tv. As the apartment was able to sleep 6 it seemed a little short sighted to have a 2 slice toaster.

Just home from the most amazing stay at Ocean 7.

The property is exactly as described but better. Spacious, homely and so well equipped. It's the details that make a difference, from the superbly decorated rooms, little touches including fairly lights, great artwork and the best welcome pack we,ve ever had! The location is perfect for amazing walks in both directions and Newquay is the ideal base to get to all of Cornwall,s main attractions. The owners checked in throughout our stay and gave helpful tips on where to eat/visit. I was lucky enough to be here to celebrate a special birthday and it couldn,t have been better. The wet weather this week did not stop us from doing everything we wanted and provided some great photo opportunities. I already miss the view from the balcony as I spent lots of time enjoying the view. We will 100% be booking to come back next year ( hopefully with a bit more sunshine). Thank you Jacky and David, Ocean 7 is a little gem, don't change a thing !

We’ve just returned from a week in Newquay and staying at Oceans Seven.

We were not disappointed the split level apartment is just lovely, with everything we needed. There are 2 bedrooms and bathroom/en-suite on the ground floor, with the living/kitchen and another bedroom on the first floor. There was plenty of room for our family of 3. The views from the first floor living area and balcony are just fabulous, even at night watching the lights across the bay. It was quiet and we didn’t see any of the other residents whilst we were there. The beds were comfy, arranged as requested and we all slept very well, waking late most mornings. The apartment is within easy 5 min walking distance of Lusty Gaze and Tolcane beaches and is a good 30 min walk or 5 min drive to Friskal. We came for the surf, which didn’t arrive until Wednesday and we went to Friskal as the surf was better, but it is possible to surf/body board on the other beaches. We also walked to Porth which is further away but a nice walk along the coast. It’s about 10 min walk into Newquay town, with plenty of restaurant options. There is also a Tesco express and local bakery within a few minutes walk. The hosts Jacky and Dave were so welcoming and provided the best welcome pack we’ve ever had, which was very much appreciated after a 5 hour drive! They kept in contact during the week to check we had settled in and that everything was okay. Thank you Jacky and Dave for making our stay the perfect get away we needed, we will be back!

We had a lovely stay at the apartment.

It was in a perfect location to explore Newquay and other towns in Cornwall and the parking was a huge bonus. Absolutely beautiful views every day to look out to and the apartment itself was very comfortable and clean. Very good communication with the hosts before and during our stay, keeping us updated and the welcome pack with gifts provided from them at the beginning of our stay was very thoughtful and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you so much for a lovely holiday.

A fantastic property with great views, and great location being only a few minutes walk into town.

Very spacious, we immediately felt welcome with the basket of provisions left for us by the owners which saved us going to the local shop after a seven hour long journey! Whilst the "Great British Summertime " wasn't behaving itself the week we came, the property was a great base to explore Cornwall. We would recommend this property to anyone and would return here next time we visit. Brian & Julie Matthews. Nottinghamshire.

The owners clearly take pride in keeping this apartment well equipped, clean and comfortable.

We can’t fault any aspect of our stay. We really appreciated the two levels as it gave space for us and our son and his wife to have personal space. Having super king beds in 2 of the 3 bedrooms was a rare find too.

A wonderful apartment, beautifully situated, kept clean and fresh with thoughtful touches.

We will be going back.

Very clean and excellent facilities.

Prompt communication from owner. Highly recommend.

We cant recommend Oceans Seven highly enough, it’s such a fabulous apartment!

Very spacious, modern and comfortable in a perfect location, close-by to three beautiful beaches with everything you could want and more and views to die for! We arrived to a lovely welcome basket from the owners, Jacky and David which was such a lovely gesture and made you feel very special! We’ve had the best time here and can’t wait to stay again! Book your stay here, you won’t be disappointed!

Lots of room, modern, and a wonderful sea view.

Owners very helpful with any questions and left a lovely welcome pack of treats. Will look to return next time we visit Newquay as our new favourite place to stay there.

A lovely apartment, everything we needed was to hand - well equipped, really comfortable furnishings and high quality.

Lovely surprise to have a ‘local’ produce welcome pack. Owners were only a call away, very responsive, knowledgeable and engaging. The view was beautiful and the apartment was surprisingly quiet, ideally located and walkable to beaches, shops and restaurants. We loved it! Highly recommended.

We would all like to thank the owners at ocean seven for the fantastic apartment we was staying in for the week, the facilities and decor of the house was stunning and are in a very modern style.

The 3 bedrooms are very good size, comfy beds and both bathrooms were very clean and spacious. The wardrobes are a good size, dressing tables, Side tables with a small tv in all rooms. the art work in every room and lounge made the room so much brighter and welcoming. Also the balcony had fairy lights which was a nice touch to see the beautiful sunset each evening through the wide folding doors. A wide choice of games, puzzles and a dvd player with a large selection of films. A fire stick was also in the TV with a good Internet connection. Perfect for family's too and plenty of entertainment to enjoy for everyone. We also received a welcoming basket that had jam, scones, clotted cream, sea salt crisps and milk was also in the fridge. Which was a sweet jester on the welcoming. Everyone is welcome to stay at ocean seven family's, friends or romantic getaways for a beach holiday. The location has everything, close to town centre which has a wide choice of restaurants, cafe and shops. We definitely recommend and we will be booking again.

Lovely place to stay!

The apartment is comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely view from the balcony too. A wonderful place to spend a week away.

Had a fabulous time, the property was very clean and as described, all amenities well catered for.

The view over the sea was fantastic, would love to come again some time.

Lovely spacious accommodation for our family.

Spotlessly clean and exactly as described on the website. Well equipped. Beautiful view. Housekeeping deposit was refunded on the day we left and in our bank account before we arrived home!

A truly great apartment.

Such a great setting, with sea views. The apartment itself is well equipped and really felt like a home from home. Just a short work into town itself, but far enough from the noise of town.

We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Seven, the location is perfect and we loved the stunning views from the open plan living area.

The kitchen was very well equipped and the shower was very powerful, the Jacuzzi bath a real treat. A perfect place to chill and unwind.

The house is absolutely beautiful.

Very spacious and excellent facilities. Very minor negative feedback. The mattress in the master bedroom is very hard, but I understand that this is just my personal taste and the televisions in the bedrooms are also very small for the size of the room. Apart from those 2 things, I could not fault the property at all and would not hesitate to book it again and recommend it to my friends and family. Thank you so much for the little extras (biscuits/crisps) they were a pleasant suprise. We had a lovely holiday. Thank you.

Had a lovely stay at the apartment it was brilliant had everything we needed.

Just one grumble when we came to use the washing machine it was thick with hair and dirt , had to clean it before we used it and then hair and fluff was still on the washing which we had done. Didn’t bother after that and took them home to do. The beds were comfy and we had a relaxing stay , the views were spectacular especially watching the sunsets , would definitely return .

On arriving unfortunately the lock was damaged in the front door.

On contacting the owners this was rectified the following morning. The property is within walking distance of supermarket and chip shop. We visited the aquarium in Newquay, and visited local towns the rest of the week. The owner kindly shipped a coat to us which was left in a bedroom on the day of departure. There is a view of the sea from the living room. Overall an enjoyable week (shame about the weather).

Fabulous apartment, very clean and modern, spectacular views .

The only downside is no toilet on the upper floor.

We literally do not have a bad thing to say about our stay at Ocean Seven!

It’s was amazing, the owners have thought of everything facilities wise. And the location and apartment itself is incredible, so clean, and modern. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning! Thank you

Lovely apartment great views and location!

Really well equipped and comfortable. Owners were very helpful too. Would definitely recommend Ocean 7!

Hi absolutely perfect spot, looking out to sea watching the sunset, apartment was very good with everything you need, my only recommendation would be to have Netflix on maybe and bigger towels, the shower and jacuzzi bath are the best we have had in a property.

Would recommend and have also told a few at work, who are interested has we work for a big well known company

Our original accomodation got cancelled due to not having it's own entrance and we're so glad it did!

Ocean Seven is amazing, the pictures are brilliant but still don't do it justice, it's so big and roomy and has everything you need and more. The welcome pack and toiletries were so nice, the balcony with furniture and fairy lights were lovely and the location is perfect. The parking space is clearly marked too. In our 10 years of visiting Cornwall we've never stayed anywhere as good as this, thank you!

Due to government restrictions on self catering apartments with a shared lobby access we had to change our original booking for Newquay and found Ocean 7.

How lucky for us. The apartment is very well appointed, extremely comfortable and in a wonderful location. It was very convenient to have a designated, off-road, parking spot too. We will most certainly be visiting again in the future.

A great location with a fantastic view.

Suited us perfectly. We had a very enjoyable stay

We felt like we were only paying for the view.

Paper thin walls. And the thing you need to get right at this price level is decent WiFi which was terrible most of the time upstairs. Seemed to be time/weather dependent. We had 2 young boys and were unable to stream anything for them/us. The main TV was cheap and nasty and again, the picture was scrambled on most channels even though I tried a retune. The ensuite shower was blocked and the door didn't shut, and the bedroom blind was broken and the window doesn't shut properly letting in wind and noise from the road. We also couldn't believe that we were unable to alter the heating! Far too hot upstairs. There was no coat hanger or mirror by the front door (or anywhere else) and we struggled to dry any wet clothes as no radiators apart from the tiny bathroom towel rails. There was no/non working extractor fan in either bathroom. The top bedroom door wouldn't latch shut so you had to wedge it or it would bang constantly. The fire extinguisher by the front door is under pressure and illegal. Finally the parking space is small and difficult to get in/out of. On a plus, the beds and sofa are comfortable and the view is beautiful. The location is also very good for walks/town/beach.

The property has lovely views, was very clean and well specced.

The welcome pack was also very much appreciated. The location of the property is excellent with many local stunning beach walks. Would recommend property.

We had a wonderful holiday in Ocean Seven, it is a lovely very well equipped apartment and is very spacious .

Some lovely touches , fairy lights down the stairs and around the balcony, wine cooler to name a few. Fantastic sea views from the lounge and balcony. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. Thank you David and Jacky.

The apartment is situated close to Lusty Glaze beach and only a 15 minute walk to Porth Beach.

It has a balcony which is perfectly situated to watch the sun go down over Towan Headland whilst enjoying your favourite tipple. The apartment is spacious as it occupies two floors, with the entrance and two bedrooms and the bathroom on the lower floor. The upper floor has the kitchen/lounge and a further bedroom. It is well appointed and we found it had ample room with six adults. It is a short walk into Newquay and is close to shops and bars. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Great apartment with lovely views.

We really enjoyed our stay here but sadly were let down on a couple of points. Firstly we contacted Sykes Cottages to request a cot and highchair for our stay but sadly the message must've failed to get passed on as they weren't there upon our arrival. Luckily the cupboard marked private was unlocked and we were able to help ourselves but after a 9 hour drive this was not something we needed to be worried about. Secondly there is no parking spot marked as number 7 and they don't run numerically in the car park, so there was lots of confusion and notes being left between the residents and holiday makers. This resulted in us never being able to park in the so called designated space for us and moved between a visitor spot and the road. Whilst we were parked in the visitor spot our car got badly keyed too along one side. If we'd have known there wasn't actually a clear designated parking spot we would've booked somewhere else as being able to park at the accommodation was a priority for our stay. The owners really need to number their parking spot and make it clear for future guests!

Lovely apartment great views perfectly placed for seeing the area wiukd highly recommended

Location of the property was perfect, just on the outskirts of town but close enough to walk to the beaches and restaurants.

Fantastic views from the balcony! Comfortable, modern and stylish accommodation, nice welcome pack of goodies on arrival would 100% recommended.

There was no major problems at this property and the views were amazing.

We were pleased with the quality and comforts that it offered and would recommend it to others.

Excellent accommodation with great sea view from living room balcony.

Even had a clotted cream tea left for us in fridge on our arrival; many thanks! We would certainly recommend staying here.

Great apartment, well equipped and very nicely decorated.

Very good location as well!

Fantastic property!

Ideal location for walking to several beaches & into Newquay then centre. Really well equipped apartment, spacious, clean, comfortable & a home from home- would definitely return! Thank you Sykes & Ocean Seven!

This is a beautiful and well equipped apartment with lovely soft furnishings and decor.

It’s proximity to Newquay itself was fabulous; we were able to leave the car parked up and walked everywhere !! The ‘welcome’ cream tea was well received!!! Thoroughly enjoyable holiday and we can’t wait to return!!
