“You will need to refer back to emails from me to understand this feedback.”

You repeatedly failed to answer my questions and failed to address my concerns regarding this re-scheduled holiday. In our last contact I was promised a telephone call from a manager, but that call never came. In the end I simply gave up trying out of frustration. I understand that the problems with Covid 19 would have put great strain on your resources, but even allowing for that I felt I was treated very dismissively. Unfortunately we will not use Sykes again. ...

On the other hand the cottage was very comfortable and we were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the property and all the measures put in place by the cottage owner and the cleaning company to combat Covid 19. Nevertheless, we, of course, continued to maintain our own hygiene routines throughout our stay at the cottage in order to protect ourselves, the cleaning staff and future guests.

Thank you for taking the time to send in your feedback regarding your recent holiday with us. It has been a very busy time but we are very disappointed that you did not receive the service expected. We are however, very pleased that you found the cottage to be very comfortable and the cleanliness good. We do take your points very seriously and continue to monitor our service. We do hope you will give us a chance to regain your trust in our service and book with us in the future. Owner relations

The property

With a southerly aspect overlooking a pretty communal garden at the rear is Crabapple Cottage, a two bedroom mid terrace property.

Enjoy the views over the pretty gardens from the sunny patio with a picnic table and barbeque for summer dining.

The open plan living space has a light and airy ambience and will suit couples or small families looking to relax in comfort.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, a double and a single plus a family bathroom.

There is one allocated parking space plus visitor parking nearby. Enjoying the southerly aspect of the village, Crabapple Cottage benefits from easy access to the coastal footpaths and Maenporth Cove.

Walking to the beach from your cottage will take approximately twenty minutes fairly level walk along a lane or through the fields, making it easy to leave the car behind for the day.

Guests wanting to enjoy a game of tennis are just a stone's throw away from the all weather courts whilst those wanting to relax will appreciate the private terrace.

Perhaps the best work out to be had is a circular walk from the cottage, down to Maenporth cove, up across the spectacular coastal footpath toward Swanpool and then back up through the pretty lanes to the village; roughly five miles but well worth the effort for those wanting to appreciate all that this special location has to offer.

North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns.

Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the Truro River.

The Cornish Cottage Holidays team is always on hand to advise you on the area and to help you plan your stay with us.

The Village of Gardens, Pendra Loweth is a village of purpose built and privately owned self-catering holiday cottages.

Situated in the beautiful and peaceful valley leading down to Maenporth Beach, Falmouth.

With onsite facilities including tennis courts, children's outdoor play area and an indoor plunge pool, jacuzzi and gym(seasonal opening hours).
