    “This was our second visit to the Bluebell cabin.”

    Beautiful tranquil setting in the woods, with lovely walks, proved an ideal to get away from hustle and bustle of daily life. The cabin itself was clean, well looked after and has everything we needed for a quiet few days. No TV or Internet coverage suited us just fine, and I had no phone signal either, which i personally enjoyed. If needed a 5 minute walk to the rangers cabin meant I could get a signal. We loved the hottub, which was used numerous times a day! Slight word of caution, the fence ...

We loved the hottub, which was used numerous times a day! Slight word of caution, the fence around the hottub has gaps between the slats, and i am pretty sure the guests in the other cabin got an eyeful a couple of times as i was drying off and they walked past! Maybe the hottub area could be a little more private. Other than that slight concern, for an affordable quiet getaway it was great.

Bodmin, the one-time County Town of Cornwall with its narrow streets, shops and pubs, is perfectly placed for exploring all that this fabulous holiday area has to offer. The outstanding surf, rugged cliffs and hidden coves of the north coast beaches and the quieter sands and river estuaries of the south coast are both 15 miles away while on the edge of town is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail. The popular Camel Trail for cyclists and walkers also winds its way through the town on its journey to the sea at Padstow. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum (30 miles) and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants (16 miles) make for great days out.
