The property

The Forge is a lovely, detached barn conversion nestled on the outskirts of Mawnan Smith at Treworval farm, Cornwall.

The Forge, located next to the owner's house, is well suited for a couple looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly getaway close to the beach and with scenic countryside views.

You'll have your own private garden where you can dine alfresco, along with an off-road parking space.

Step into the bright and airy open-plan living space, complete with bespoke lighting fashioned from glass milking parlour jars, where you’ll find a dining area for four, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a sitting area with plush sofas, a crackling woodburning stove, and a 43" Smart TV, ideal for unwinding after a day of exploration.

On warmer days, you and your dog can enjoy the outdoor space in the shared, enclosed garden, complete with a barbecue.

As you explore the rest of your new house, you'll reach the stunning super-king-size bedroom with direct entrance to the garden and an en suite shower room.

Explore the local village and enjoy a romantic supper at The Red Lion, stock up at the supermarket, or take your dog for a stroll in the dog-friendly Carwinion Woods.

Glendurgan Garden, a lovely National Trust location on the outskirts of the village, offers beautiful surroundings and a secluded beach, whilst you will also find easy access to the South West Coast Path for picturesque excursions, and a plethora of beautiful beaches with calm, clear water ideal for swimming and watersports.

The amazing Pendennis Castle, the National Maritime Museum, the ferry to St. Mawes, and the fun of Gyllyngvase Beach await you in Falmouth.

Next stop is Helford Passage, which features its own magnificent beach, the accommodating Ferry Boat Inn, and a ferry that crosses to Helford.

Helston, with its Museum of Cornish Life, Flambards Theme Park, Blue Anchor Inn, and Cober Valley, is a bit further away.

Located near the mouth of the Helford River in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Mawnan Smith is a pretty little village. It is home to a traditional pub, a restaurant, a church and a handful of shops. The surrounding area is perfect for ramblers, with an abundance of creekside and woodland walks, and subtropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah. The Helford River also offers opportunities for kayaking and sailing as well as fishing. The nearby maritime town of Falmouth is a popular resort, with a range of shops and restaurants, bowling alley and the National Maritime Museum…. Or why not catch the ferry from Helford Passage to Helford Village and explore the picturesque South Helford?
