Bayview

The property is in need of general maintenance starting at the entrance it is very dirty, the carpets throughout are in need of a good clean, the kitchen kick boards are adrift on the end cupboard opposite the cooker, the pots and pans are in need of replacing the one in particular is very burnt, the taps are loose on the sink in the downstairs bathroom the toilet seat needs adjusting, the grout needs a good clean it is mouldy, the back garden needs a lot of attention, the dishwasher was broken, we had been left a letter to say so, the view is lovely you just need a permit so guests can park outside the property, the photos that are used to advertise the property inside and out must be years old as it looks nothing like that now

Lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable and a great location just a short (but steep) walk to harbour and beach.

Owners were there if we needed them. Liz was amazing. We would love to come again next year as we need to continue our pool competition. Weather wasn't the best but Mevagissey is where our hearts are. Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful home.

Lovely house Little difficult to get park but it is summer and a busy little place.

Lovely green space in front of the house to give the dog a good run and plenty of walks and buckets. The beach to left of the building is gorgeous the walk back up a little more difficult but you will find the walk down to any were okay but the walk up a little more challenging. However take breaks enjoy the views as they are beautiful. For fellow celiac people Martin bakery does amazing pasties and cakes. Martin bakery

Being able to walk to a decent beach and a quaint harbour with charming restaurants is really great.

Great place.

Only thing might be something on the listing about additionally suitability for very young children due to the stairs or the inclusion of a stair gate at the top of the stairs (appreciate the bottom is tight for space). Additionally, a chain lock for the front door may be useful as appreciate. The thumb turn is important for legislation purposes but is very easy for a small children to escape. We ended up blocking the door with a chair. Thanks again!

Had a super stay

Enjoyed our 10 days, Super location.

Short walk to Mevagissey on the coastal path steps is breath taking but return uphill walk will be challenging for some. Parking on the road is not the best, but only a real problem on one occasion. Kitchen-everything we needed. Furnished generally to a comfortable rather than a "special standard" Downstairs bed was a bit springy for bad back sufferers Downstairs shower/WC needs a refresh Stairs to upstairs bedroom would be difficult for those with mobility issues-very narrow.

excellent location (close to the harbour, pubs and shops), amazing view, very clean and well equipped holiday home.

Bayview is a lovely property that is nicely presented in all aspects.

The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed and the living room is comfy, cosy and has a wonderful view looking out over the adjacent green space and out to sea. The location is peaceful and a short walk to the beautiful Polstreath beach and not far from the village centre, but if you are not used to hills then you soon will be.

Beautiful property and beautiful location.

Just the basic provisions were missing. something like toilet paper, kitchen towels, dishwash liquid, salt / pepper, and basic condiments were missing. such basics could have been provided to make our stay more comfortable as we kept making trips to the local grocers for little bits and bobs that could have easily been provided.

Bayview is a lovely property, catering for every need.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the 5 star holiday home. The only negative ( if I had to be critical)was the parking - as no allocated parking spaces- however this wouldn’t stop us staying again. Karen

This is our second holiday in this lovely cosy holiday cottage.

We shared valuable time here with our daughter, son in law and granddaughters. The accommodation is in a perfect location for exploring Mevagissy, it is on the edge of SWCP and also very close to the beach. This light and airy property is very warm and comfortable. It is well maintained and has everything that you would need. The games room is a real bonus and was enjoyed by all. The welcome pack was very much appreciated, thank you. Owners live nearby and are very welcoming and supportive. Hopefully we will be back again sometime.

It is a lovely location close to Mevagissey and with manageable distances to all locations i Cornwall. Plenty of space in the house for 5 to 6 persons

Nice cottage with everything you would need for a holiday.

Kitchen was well equip and location was very good for day trips out into the local area. We stayed with a young child and stairs down to Megavissey were a slight challenge, fine with a carrier but not suitable for a pushchair.

Bayview is a great holiday cottage.

It has everything you need. A home from home. Colin was very helpful when needed and kept in contact. The location is stunning, views were amazing and the access to the beach and harbour were great, certainly keeps you fit. I would highly recommend going.

We loved our week at Bayview.

The owner was very helpful ahead of our stay and was on hand if we had any questions. The property is spacious and well equipped. The games room was a big plus which set the place apart from other properties we have stayed at. The view of the sea from the front of the property was brilliant and a joy to wake up to each morning. The proximity to the beach at Polstreath is superb if you don't mind the 193 steps each way (our 4-year-old counted them!) and Mevagissey is a 10-minute walk down the hill in the opposite direction. Parking - especially if returning in the middle of the day - was sometimes a bit tricky as people seemed to use the road to park to go for a coastal walk or into Mevagissey. I would implore any future holidaymakers following their satnav to the house to not disbelieve the instruction to turn left at the Heligan crossroads on the way into Mevagissey as otherwise you'll end up right in the centre of the narrow streets of Mevagissey! We would not hesitate to recommend a stay at Bayview to anyone who wants to enjoy Cornwall.

Our time in this wonderful cottage was fabulous.

It was exactly what we were looking for. Close to the harbour where we got some really great food and close to other small harbours that we could go and visit. The views were excellent as well. We had 1 really rainy day but with the games room, we were never not entertained! This is on our list to visit again.

We had a great stay, superb position overlooking the bay with open area for children to play opposite, short walk to the village.

We werde a Family of four and really felt home from home.

Everything in the house was as described in the listing —- and the view on the sea is simply outstanding. It was also very nice to have a small bay just around the corner where you could swim and enjoy the ein - and the stairs down to the sea are simply a good exercise. The coastal walk also just passes the house which is very convenient when you like walking. Mevagissey downtown is only a 10minutes sightseeing walk away - also very convenient. The cottage is fantastic, really nicely furnished with lots of space and things to do.

The games room in particular is a great addition for familes with children. The location if brilliant with a stunning view, this all combined for an lovely week away.

This was one of the best holidays we've ever had in Cornwall the bungalow was smashing couldn't fault anything the the view was fantastic and it's just a short walk to the Harbour we had plenty of sunshine so we can sit in the back garden and enjoyed the weather thank you very much for having us I'm definitely booking for next year

We stayed at Bayview in Mevagissey.

It is a lovely place that is close to the harbour and only a short drive from St Austell. The cottage has everything you need and was very clean. The games room was great too.

Fabulous property.

Amazing view from the master bedroom - watched dolphins swimming past one day. The only thing I would suggest is a heater for the games room to make it more comfortable in colder months - there's currently no heating in there. The owner took the time to check things were okay for us during Storm Eunice which was appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay.

Such a lovely location and beautiful cottage.

With fabulous views! Also with a attractive beach within walking distance. The cottage itself was great! And we would love to go back some day. Me and my wife and our children loved our time at the Bayview cottage.

Bayview is perfect in every way.

This was the second time we stayed at Bayview, as with the last Holiday the accommodation was superb, very clean and comfortable.

Bay view is a great holiday home with fabulous views of the coast and a minute away from a coastal path with views that will beat any other you will find in Cornwall.

It’s a steep walk down into mevagissey but only 5-10 minutes. The house itself was spotless. The games room was a great addition for our 9 and 12 year old. Thank you for a fantastic week. We loved it.

Perfect accommodation in a great location with great views

We had a great time staying at Bayview.

The house was well maintained and very clean. All furniture was of good quality. The views were fantastic. We arrived in 2 cars and although it is street parking we didn’t have a problem finding a spot. Weather was very mixed while we were there and the games room was well used. A lovely walk into Mevagissey (quite steep) if walking back when it’s dark remember your torch ! Great communication with the owner who only lived a few minutes away and was on hand if there were any problems. Highly recommended property - we’ll be back !

Bayview was home from home with the addition of a lovely sea view and a table tennis table- we used it a lot!

Location was great, house cosy, comfortable and welcoming. Lots of little touches which we appreciated. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Lovely, clean and spacious cottage in a perfect location.

We stayed for a week and had a fantastic time- the cottage is really well equipped for children and it was a short walk down to Mevagissey where there are lots of lovely coffee shops, restaurants and gift shops for leisurely browsing.

The house is very spacious and tastefully decorated.

Its location is absolutely ideal for exploring Mevagissey (5 mins walk) and there's a lovely secluded cove also within 5 mins walk. There were a few problems with wear-and-tear (main bed broken; lights in kitchen not working; toilet seat broken; DVD player not working) but we reported them to the owner and he came out to resolve them within two hours.

): lovely view of the bay, short walk into town with fantastic views of the harbour and Mevsgissey. Mevagissey itself is lovely, pretty and friendly and we enjoyed the attractions (Aquarium, Museum and Model Railway exhibition) very much. The house was really attractive and well furnished. A lovely holiday.
