    “Beautifully presented property with helpful and attentive host.”

    Really well equipped so we were able to self cater and enjoy time with our Family. The weather didn't allow us to explore the area, but it looked lovely and I would imagine in the summer it would be a great location. The village was pleasant and very friendly.

The property

About 1.5 miles from Kingsand and Cawsand, a stunning contemporary property with fabulous water views across the Millbrook Lake and Tamar Estuary.

Completed in Spring 2017, this beautiful architect designed house has on trend interiors, spacious accommodation and a superb outlook from the majority of rooms.

The accommodation is arranged over three floors with a vast open plan living space on the middle floor; perfect for get togethers with family or friends.

Here you can gather around the table, chill out on big corner sofas by the wood burner or spill out onto the water facing balcony stretching the width of the house.

Kids of all ages will be entertained with a fabulous cinema room on the ground floor with 65'' screen and squashy sofas, just don't forget the popcorn!! The bedrooms offer flexible sleeping arrangements with two king size rooms and two with zip and link beds.

Three bedrooms are up on the second floor; a master with king size bed, en suite shower room and Juliet balcony, another super-king size room and a further room with twin or king size bed on request.

There is also a large family bathroom on this floor.

The ground floor bedroom is a double and there is also a cloakroom with WC on this floor.

To the rear of the house, accessed from the sitting area is a terrace with table and chairs which is a sun trap during the day and the perfect spot for a barbecue or a few G & T's after sunset.

There is also a lawn and table tennis is provided for the energetic! Lake View is in the Cornish village of Millbrook; a sleepy spot in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where bird watchers may see a kingfisher on the lake just 500 yards from the property.

Millbrook is home to a pub and convenience store but the real attraction is the wonderful countryside and water based activities nearby.

The area is known as the forgotten corner of Cornwall - a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides.

Enjoy fabulous walking; you can explore the South West Coast Path from the doorstep or take a tour around the Mount Edgcumbe Country Park with 865 acres of parkland with stunning formal gardens and historic mansion house.

River cruises can be enjoyed from the quay here or even a spot of canoeing with hire available at Calstock.

Surrounded by water on three sides, Millbrook looks across the Tamar to Plymouth which can be reached by car ferry from nearby Torpoint or on the passenger ferry from the Cremyll Quay.

Plymouth offers culture, shopping and plenty of great cafes, restaurants and bars - head to the Hoe for a wide choice and great atmosphere.

Beach lovers must head to Whitsand Bay on the south coast with 3 miles of golden sand, swimming and surfing.

Call in at the pretty coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand on the way back and enjoy a drink in one of the old inns.
