Perched on the Penwith Peninsula, an area steeped in history, the picturesque village of Morvah has a pretty parish church with a tower dating back to the 14th century. Situated within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village hosts a pasty festival each year on the first Tuesday in August. Nestled amongst unspoilt farm and moorland and perched above dramatic granite ciffs, Morvah boasts a secret wild beach within walking distance and the award-winning Gurnards Head public house is a short drive. Nearby St Just is an interesting town boasting a selection of galleries, farm shops and cafes, and the road to Cape Cornwall winds a short distance from here to dramatic cliffs and sea views. One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives is also not far away and offers narrow streets, tight packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more.
