Ridgeback House

Excellent property.

Ideal for a large family. The local store was nearby and opened from 7am to 11pm every day. The coastline is beautiful with many good walks.(some a bit challenging). Overall a good location to see the Lizard and surrounding Cove. We loved it. The children particularly liked the Pool Table. (and some grown-ups) Thoroughly recommend this location.

Holiday was great house was lovely we enjoyed our stay at ridgeback house.

I think the WiFi and TV’s could do with updating though.the EV charging was very helpful and the weather was fantastic

Accommodation and location perfect for our 2 weeks, Facilities were amazing with the pool table and football, The beds were comfortable which we needed after long busy days, Just looked a bit tired and needed sprucing up and some items replacing.

The house was clean, well maintained and comfortable.

We had all the necessities/equipment required. There was a welcome package of scones, jam and cream upon our arrival along with fresh flowers which was a nice touch. The parking was a bit tricky, as one car was an EV and the cable was short requiring much 'maneuvering' to charge. Overall a great location, house and holiday.

It was a lovely specious apartment.

Toilet flush button in two of the bathrooms were not functional. We have struggled to get in for few hours due to the key storage lock button was not functioning until we managed to find an emergency phone number who guided us to secondary key storage lock in the back of the house. Kind regards

This is a fantastic house.

Well equipped, warm and comfortable and in a great location for exploring the Lizard. Would be more than happy to return for another holiday.

Brilliant property to stay in.

What a find!

! This is a really, really excellent property, in a small, quiet village in Cornwall, called Mullion. It is a beautiful area with many quite picturesque small coves to explore. More well known touristy places, for example St. Ives, Lands End, Falmouth are all within 30 miles. The property itself - Ridgeback House, is superbly situated, in a quiet street and has good parking space for two cars. It is very spacious, with a huge kitchen, which is incredibly well equipped. The four bedrooms are all a good size and we all agreed - very comfortable beds!! It is every bit as good as the photos and the description of the property suggest. Book it before somebody else does!!

Absolutely wonderful property which was homely, comfortable and welcoming.

The starter pack of teas, coffees and cookies was a lovely touch. Perfect location for exploring this end of Cornwall in a quiet lane. There was an abundance of cooking utensils, tons of seating and the beds were absolutely divine! Excellent communication with the owner and the property management. We loved this property and would happily visit again.

Had a lovely stay the facilities were brilliant and the beds were really comfy and close to shops and a pub.

The pool table was a nice touch to the place enjoyed using that most evenings would highly recommend and hoping to return next year

Absolute surprise it is exactly like it states online.

Fantastic facilities very clean and well stocked with everything you need. Massive rooms and very comfortable big beds. Showers were also nice and powerful. All linen and towels provided very good quality. Didn't want for anything. very grateful to the owner of this property as Electric Charger was a bonus to us. will definitely be back

Excellent location, lovely spacious house very well equipped.

This is the second time we have come to this house & we wasn't disappointed. Beds were large & comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay.

The property is really well equipped both inside and in the garden. Our grandson loved the outdoor toys and especially the paddling pool. Large,open plan kitchen with a lovely big table, ideal for family dining. Comfortable bedrooms and well equipped bathrooms. The house is ideally situated to walk into Mullion and lots of interesting places to visit within easy reach. We would stay again.

The pictures of Ridgeback House are perfect and matched the property perfect.

All of the rooms are big and spacious. The house itself is well equipped and everything is of a high class quality. The kitchen is excellent with lots of pots and pans, plates etc. The towels were lovely and soft. My teenage grandkids loved the snooker and table football. The garden is quite private. Perfect holiday with lots of beaches nearby. We didn’t really use the spa as the coop is just a few minutes walk away and we’ll stocked. Good fish and chip shop and 2 local pubs nearby. Lovely village with friendly people.

This was an exceptional accommodation exceeding all expectations.

All the little extras that you wouldn't believe. Tissues in all rooms, dishwasher tabs, waste bags. An abundance ofall crockery cutlery a d utensils. 13 out of 10.

Lovely family home , excellent location

Any incredibly well equipped, modern and comfortable place to stay.

The addition of a games room and pool table kept our older children occupied. We would certainly have no hesitation of recommending Ridgeback house or staying again ourselves.

Very well equipped could not think of a kitchen item that was not there.

Very comfortable beds nice white fluffy towels. Easy walk into village. Would I stay again yes would I recommend yes.

It was so lovely to stay in a home that had such great facilities and equal sized rooms without someone confined to a tiny room or sofa bed.

Beautiful and luxurious holiday home that exceeded expectations, and excellent communication with the owner Very well equipped, especially in the kitchen.

Games room and ice machine in the kitchen were very popular with our teens! The little covered patio area in the back garden was really lovely and well-kept, with pretty planting display, and we made the most of this area, often eating meals on the patio. Within easy reach of some lovely beaches and walks right on the doorstep, but even heading up to the north coast in search of some bigger surf, was only around 45 minutes. We would gladly return.

We had a really enjoyable holiday in Cornwall, Ridgeback House was perfect, clean and well presented, and very well equipped, with a lovely outside dining area.

We all felt safe and comfortable in the house with all the additional measures which had been taken due to COVID-19. The location allowed us to enjoy the local beaches and walks but also acted as a good base for day trips.

The location and facilities are absolutely superb and the house incredibly well equipped. There is a real feeling of quality everywhere. Definitely a house to return to. We loved it.

This was our second stay at the property and it didn’t disappoint.

Well geared up for kids and grandparents alike! Village only a few minutes’ walk and the coast path a few minutes in the other direction.

This property is one of the best that we have stayed in over many years of self catering holidays.

Everything we could possibly want was provided, the area was lovely and even the weather was brilliant. The Old Inn did really nice food and The Mounts Inn even better, and then chocolate from the chocolate factory, what more could we ask for?

Firstly Sykes is a brilliant website to use when searching for a property, easy to navigate and the app is great too.

Ridgeback House was a great family house in a perfect location. It was VERY well equipped, they thought of everything you might need. I recieved a welcome email from the owner making sure all was well and to contact her if we had queries which was a nice touch too. We didn't need to travel more than 20mins on foot or in the car all week. Stunning beaches, chocolate and craft center, Flambards theme park, cafes, parks & shops! I would definitely recommend to others and hope to return soon - a true home from home.

The best equipped rental house we have every stayed in.

We were very pleased to be provided with essentials like tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets and much more for our long weekend away. Our party (3 generations) consisted of 3 couples and 2 children and the bedrooms suited us perfectly. Beds were very comfortable and everywhere was very clean. Having a tv in each room was a bonus as the children could watch their favourites and the adults theirs. We would definitely like to visit this house and Mullion again.

The cottage was in a very quiet location, but only minutes walk away from shops and pubs.

There were 6 adults and a 3 year child in our party, but there was lots of space and everything we needed for and excellent stay.

We thought that this was an extremely well presented holiday home with excellent facilities.

The location close to the centre of Mullion village and within easy reach of the stunning coastal scenery was ideal. We think that Ridgeback House is first class and we would highly recommend it to friends and the rest of our family.

Great holiday.

A really lovely house with every possible need catered for. A co-op and Mullion store very close by with a chippy and pub within a 5 minute walk. Great base to explore the lizard peninsula. Had a very unfortunate problem but Sykes and the owner were very helpful and fair. Was fixed as quickly as possible. Much appreciated. Thank you Sykes, and we can honestly say Ridgeback house is the nicest, well thought out and equipped holiday let we have ever been too. Highly recommended.

Ideal location for beach and surrounding attractions , ridgeback house superb , for large families of all ages

This was a very well equipped and spacious holiday home that easily accommodated our party of 5 adults and 2 under 5's.

It is well placed for the village of Mullion and local attractions and walks. As we know the area well we knew exactly where it was but it is attached to a council estate and not what you would call pretty so if you want lovely views in a picturesque setting this is not for you.

Had a great holiday.

The property was even better than the photographs, excellent location & convenient to tour most places in southern Cornwall. Will definitely recommend Sykes Cottages and look forward to another holiday soon :-)

Ridgeback House was lovely and an ideal base to explore the Coastal walks around Mullion.

We found Ridgeback to be exceptionally well equipped and the cream tea and biscuits along with the milk and jam was a welcome surprise.

It was perfect for our family stay.

So well appointed and in a perfect location for us. It was very comfortable and well appointed, nice and warm with plenty of hot water. The location was perfect for us.

The house was perfectly situated as a base for or a family wedding at the nearby hotel.

It was well equipped with everything we needed, from barbeques to picnics on the beach. it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. An ideal base for a family holiday.

We had a lovely stay, although we didnt pick the best week weather wise it was still great, a coop if needed within walking distance, lovely hotel for food and drinks, beautiful sea bay and a local golf course which the boys played in not so great conditions but the views where fab.

The locals we met were so friendly. The house had everything we needed for 7 adults. Lots of space , comfy beds very cosy, highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the area.
