Bodillys Cottage

Our holiday here was unfortunately not very good .

However not due to the property but the neighbours.. which unfortunately had a negative reaction on our children and although we enjoyed visiting surrounding places once back at our holiday stay the kids became nervous once again . We left a day early and will not be returning... however the property owners were helpful/ respectful/thoughtful and i did appreciate their quick communication with our matter ...

Cottage very comfortable, however, the garden area requires a bit of maintenance.

Also, the BBQ needs to be thoroughly cleaned or replaced.

Smal but well equipped property in a great location.

Unfortunately the garden is not dog friendly as there was a large lily plant in the beds. Although our dog isn't an escape artist we did need to watch him as there is a low fence at the back and another one with a gap behind the shed which he found while watching the neighbours cat.

We had five night's stay at Bodilly's Cottage over new year.

We enjoyed the festive touches put in place by the owner, and the whole place was warm and cosy. We would recommend it to others, and Newlyn was well located to explore nearby parts of the Cornish coast. The local bus and train services were very reliable and convenient.

Bodillys is a lovely, cosy cottage tucked away in a peaceful spot in Newlyn.

We walked to both Penzance and Mousehole and found several nice places to 'rest' enroute . The cottage was very clean, warm and well-equipped with a cute welcome package. Thank you!

This is our second stay at Bodillys Cottage and it was a great as the first one!

This is such a wonderfully homely cottage, with lots of personal touches that made our stay so enjoyable again. It has a lovely outside space as well which was perfect for a morning cup of tea. A great location for visiting surrounding areas, with some beautiful beaches and stunning coastal walks accessible from the cottage. Newlyn is a lovely vibrant town, the active fishing harbour is fascinating to watch in action. We will definitely be back again and would fully recommend this cottage to anyone. Thank you for another lovely holiday.

Bodily’s is in a great situation with everywhere close by that myself and my family love to explore Owner was happy to accommodate my request before arrival.

I appreciated the owner contacted me to let me know a repair issue that had occurred before our arrival too and i was able to let them know afew other repair issues they were perhaps unaware of before our stay commenced. Did not impair our stay and always great facilities on hand at Bodily’s. I always return here each year and will do so again the property has all you will need for a comfortable stay. Many Thanks.

Bodillys Cottage was very clean and comfortable.

We were greeted with a pretty vase of flowers from the courtyard garden, scones with jam and cream and fresh milk in the fridge which were all very welcoming. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with plenty of crockery, glassware and equipment which even included an Airfryer and espresso maker. There was tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid to name but a few of the basic starter items supplied. It would have been lovely to use the courtyard garden to eat outside but unfortunately the weather wasn’t warm enough. The stairs are steep and narrow but didn’t cause us silver surfers any problems and the king size bed was very comfortable. We didn’t use the second bedroom which has a bunk bed but it would be best suited to two children or teenagers. The shower in the bathroom was very powerful. There is everything you need in the cottage and the M6 bus runs from almost outside the front door between Mousehole and Penzance every twenty minutes which is a brilliant service especially if you’re not traveling by car. We would definitely return to Bodillys.

Well presented, clean cottage.

Owner very responsive and accommodating. Stairs are a real challenge. Needs blinds at front and back door for warmth and privacy. One set of towels for a whole week is a little poor. Really need a second set. Some of the utensils and pans could do with updating. Location was great. Overall, not a bad place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Bodillys, the cottage was very clean and comfortable and in a great location.

It was very well equipped with everything we could possibly need and the added touches of a cream tea and dog treats were lovely. The location was perfect for some lovely long coastal walks and the working harbour gave the town a vibrant feel. We would definitely recommend this property to stay in.

A beautiful cottage with all facilities catered for.

It was even better than the pictures online. The location of this cottage was perfect a few steps from the Harbour, bus stop, pub and shops closeby. We had a lovely comfortable stay and would definitely recommend.

The cottage was very comfortable & generally well equipped, although more cutlery & crockery would have been appreciated especially as there was a dish washer which we couldn’t use because of this.

We ended up buying washing up liquid & hand washing. The second double bedroom was very cramped & was more the size of a single. The stairs were steep as advised but the handrail didn’t go to the top of the stairs so coming down was a bit precarious. The cottage was well situated & the garden very attractive. The cream tea & dog biscuits were a lovely idea & appreciated. Generally the cottage was lovely & a couple of adjustments would make it ideal.

A sensitive restoration of a fisherman’s cottage, with all modern amenities, right by the quay and bus stop, The garden is rather special, wider than the average garden for the row of cottages, with a sun trap raised patio area.

The Cottage was lovely, close to pubs and restaurants.

comfortable bed. The Courtyard was great for the dogs. we were lucky with the weather, had warm and sunny days. Only rained on 1 day. we used the bus to the train station, there is plenty to do in Newlyn. went to St Ives by train and no problem. Godolphin hotel excellent food. we certainly had a great time and will return to Bodillys Cottage. Nice touch the scones and clotted cream, and dog biscuits, they enjoyed them. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Newlyn and would love to return in the future.

We had a lovely stay here, with everything we needed for the week.

The beds were gloriously comfy after long days hiking the SWCP. Location is excellent as bus stop is just at the end of the lane. We found the cottage clean and warm, loved that we could boost the heat to dry some of our rainy gear on the radiator. We had a wonderful week and highly recommend!

Great location for exploring the area.

The cottage was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The pleasant outside seating area is a bonus in these cottages. We found the nearby car park very convenient. We enjoyed our holiday very much.

We had an amazing time - the location was perfect and we loved everything about the cottage - the cream tea and doggy treats on arrival was particularly well received - we were not expecting that at all - and was a lovely surprise.

The cottage was very clean and ideally suited for our needs. There was outside space to relax in and for the dogs to explore - and although in amongst other properties - was actually very private. The garden could maybe do with a bit of trimming back - but this did not detract from our experience at all. We were made very welcome at the Red Lion pub - just at the bottom of the lane - and the Fisherman's Arms just a bit further along - everyone was so friendly. The Fisherman's Arms do amazing food - beautifully presented

Absolutely spotless & pretty accommodation, lovely welcome of Cornish cream tea & tea/coffee provided, & even some treats for our dog.

Parking just around corner & usually got a spot easily when in & out. great spot for accessing the surrounding area highly recommend.

Lovely cottage, ideally located to access centre of Newlyn, Penzance plus the coast.

Enjoyed Lamorna Cove and nearby Perranthunoe beach for their Cornish beauty and charm. Comfy beds and sofa. Private pretty terrace to sit on - we were out there every morning and most eves. Was secure for our two dogs. Although there is no parking with the property, a car park is around the corner and costs only £15 for a whole week. Friendly pub, the Red Lion, literally at the bottom of the lane. Only problem was with the wifi which wasn’t working and the temporary dongle was intermittent. Minor issue though! Everything we needed was there and scones, cream jam and milk on arrival. Great stay and we’d love to come back.
