As returning guests to 8 cribbar, this still remains one of our favourite apartments to stay (and we've stay in quite a few along on Headland Road) it is a beautiful apartment with everything you could ever possibly need.

Positives - Just too many to mention! Coninued Improvements - Kitchen Tap needs fixing New Mattress in Master bedroom? When Windy could heard a slight banging on side of building?

Perfect location, beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable.

Really impressed with this apartment.

Well furnished, clean and the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring the beaches and town. Dog friendly really made the holiday as we could take our dog with us who loved the beaches and dog friendly vibe that Newquay has.

The facilitate first class and the place is very well appointed. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, hence our return, year after year. Thank you for a fabulous break. See you soon.

Upon arrival the cutlery and numerous crockery had to be rewashed due to food stuck on quite a number of them.

The fridge and the microwave were also dirty and had not been cleaned. The drain in the en-suite shower also needed some attention as it fills up whilst showering. The lack of terrestrial tv in the lounge is also disappointing and substandard compared to alternative accommodation. The vertical blinds in the master bedroom were also broken. Our car alarm was triggered in the night which led us to investigate and we realised there was an issue with the garage door lock not locking after use. We reported this issue via the telephone number provided in the welcome book. This is a security issue as access can be gained to the garage. Disappointingly we never received a response to our text.

The apartment and views are just wonderful!

The space was very clean, beds super comfy, we had a complimentary bottle of bubbly as we arrived which was such a nice addition. You’re just a short walk into town, or down to Fistral beach which is fab, the location is perfect. Secure parking is an added bonus, it’s nice to have peace of mind that you’re able to park with no problems after venturing out. The only thing I would add is if you have a few rainy days (which we did), we’d spend a bit more time in the apartment than what we normally would do and obviously wanted to be in the living room space all together. The main tv doesn’t have an aerial so you cannot watch terrestrial live tv, and have to rely on tv apps/good WiFi to stream. We tried to watch live tv via the apps but the WiFi wasn’t strong enough to continually stream, which meant that annoying buffering and freezing every 2 mins. The same with watching Netflix etc, although not as much. My parents are older and just wanted an easy tv to work if me and partner happened to go out or if we stayed in because of the rain, they really struggled with the main tv /apps /streaming etc.

Fabulous location and apartment.

We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely book this property again.

Overall very good but stayed here before and still certain things have not been sorted out since we stayed last time like the toilet seat in the ensuite is always loose, also the dripping bathroom tap which was annoying.

It would have been nice to have bread there on arrival, other than that very happy with everything else Amazing location and of course we will be back

A fantastic apartment, very clean, modern, well equipped and in a fantastic location.

We loved it. The only negative, and this is a very minor point, was that the TV in the lounge had no terrestrial tv channels, relying on apps such as iplayer and the WiFi could be “flakey” at times. Like I said it was a very minor issue. We would definitely stay again.

The property is in a perfect position with it's South facing balcony overlooking the golf course and distractions beach.

Great location for all the amenities of the town but far enough away for peace. We will definitely book 8 cribbar again in the future.

Gem of an apartment, dog friendly and centrally located

Our 3rd stay in this apartment!

Just perfect for 4 adults and a dog. Underground parking is a real bonus. Everything as stated and as needed for a weeks stay. Love opening the doors fully onto the balcony, even in October. Will never tire of the view. An easy walk into Newquay and to the Red Lion pub! We've stayed at a few places in Newquay, but love this place. You pay for what you get here...Worth every penny.

This was our 2nd stay at Cribber, words are not enough to explain how perfect this place is, the apartment is fully equipped with everything you could possibily need, it's so comfortable and the views from the balcony are spectacular, you could just sit there all day watching the world go by.

The location of the apartment is ideal for beaches, town, bars, resturantes, supermarket. Underground Car parking space is a bonus too. The only drawback here is that we had to leave, needless to say this won't be our last visit. Tina, Sean & Cookie

Lovely property, conveniently located for the beach and town.

Wine, flowers and milk were a nice touch.

The apartment was absolutely lovely.

The view was amazing. The apartment was very clean and modern looking. The parking in the area was really restricted with expensive car parks so it was perfect to have a spot in the garage, which was a little tight but great anyway. The location was incredible. The cage for surf gear was a lovely bonus. Access on arrival was simple and well explained. Everyone in my family had a fantastic time and this apartment added to their enjoyment. We will certainly be looking to go back here next time we're in Newquay. The only criticism is the picture used to advertise the apartment is wrong. The pic is dominated by the curved apartments further down the road, which looks better from the outside. In my opinion, this is wrong and misleading.

Just enjoyed our 2nd stay at this property and will shortly be booking a 3rd for next year.

Perfect location, perfect view, perfect facilities. Fresh bunch of flowers on the counter and a bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival was a nice touch. The car park is tight as mentioned in some other reviews but manageable. This was our first time visiting with a roof box and we had just a few centimetres to spare under the shutter so those with vans and large 4x4's with roof accessories be mindful

Beautiful beach apartment in a prime position.

The apartment was immaculate and beautifully presented. Amazing balcony with sea views and south facing sunshine as well as sea views from both bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and modern leading onto a beautiful living room with a huge comfortable sofa and beautiful sea views. Both bedrooms were a good size with comfortable beds and the master has a double sink and double shower all clean and immaculate. The apartment was lovely and warm and the block it’s self was well look after and clean in all communal areas. We have stayed in several different apartments on the headland road and this by far the best one !

It was really nice to come back to apartment and see improvements from last year.

I really liked the change of bed location in master bedroom as you can see ocean direct from it. We changed one of the light bulbs in the bathroom as it’s gone off, but its white instead of warm colour one. Thats the only one we could find in your apartment. You might want to keep some more for the future. Otherwise wouldn’t change anything! Was such a lovely welcome with bottle of wine and fresh flowers. Looking forward to come back and already looking for available dates in Autumn. Thank you for a pleasant stay and sunny week in Cornwall

A really homely apartment with everything you could need provided.

Really clean which is super important when dog friendly. Excellent location with fab sea views which is customary for headland road. Luxurious and well appointed which is what you expect from cribbar apartments - lovely welcome touches on arrival. Sofas and beds comfortable, especially in second bedroom. Mattress a bit firm in master bedroom but have slept on much worse and Would stay again. Parking space may be tight to get into for larger cars when car park is full but as it wasn’t we didn’t have issues. Just to point out for maintenance the sliding wardrobe in second bedroom is not secure on tracks at the top.

The apartment is in a perfect location and very well equipped and maintained. I’d highly recommend it.

This was our 2nd stay at the property.

It perfectly suits our needs. Pleased the large "spotlight" has been replaced with a smaller light. Lovely to have the basics such as hand wash etc. The doors on the main ensuite bedroom didn't open which was a shame as it was very hot the weekend we got there. It was extremely windy one night and as per peoples comments, I assume an air vent lid at rear of kitchen flapping and banging all night disturbed the dog, so may have been noise from him unfortunately that night as he was scared. The egg chair didn't work for us (sure great for others!), but still enough room on the balcony for us to sit out and watch the golfers and the world go by. We left the recycling contents in the bins in the apartment, as the instructions weren't too clear on whether to remove from the bins or leave in, so if we got this wrong I apologise. We have stayed on Headland Road a few times and this is by far the best apartment to date hence the re-visit. No negatives, just a wonderful much needed break away and I'm sure we will be back. Thank you!

A superb two bed apartment.

Really well appointed and a fabulous sea view. The location is perfect for amenities such as bars and restaurants on Fistral. We had a lovely gift of wine and flowers for,us on arrival. It is nice gestures like this that you know the owners are invested in their guests. We will book this again. Thank you for a fabulous week.

This is an absolutely lovely apartment with everything you need for the perfect stay.

The views are just divine! Only thing I would say from a woman's point of view is the lack of plug sockets near a mirror which I think has been mentioned before, otherwise we'd like to stay again!!! The location is great we only used the car a couple of times for days out. The quality of furnishings and interior decoration is lovely and very home from home, the Stargazer lillies lasted all week and made the whole apartment smell gorgeous.....in two words JUST FABULOUS!!!

Beautiful, modern and spacious apartment overlooking the golf course and Fistral beach. Also some nice touches with premium room diffusers, fresh flowers and a bottle of prosecco waiting in the fridge. We are already checking dates for staying again next year!

No 8 Cribbar is a lovely apartment and so well equipped.

One of the best equipped we have stayed in. The weather was appalling during our week but we were socomfortable at 8 Cribbar we enjoyed views from a warm and comfortable holiday home. It’s so close to restaurants and places to have a drink or lunch or afternoon tea. Weather permitting its only minutes walk into Newquay. The smart TV offers Netflix for visitors enjoyment and if you have Amazon Prime you can sign into your account, There is one addition that I feel necessary. A full length mirror preferably near a plug. From a women’s point of view make up and hair drying was not the easiest. There was a banging noise coming from the corner of the kitchen near the window. It was pretty constant and sounded like an air vent flap banging in the wind. It might be easily solved. We had a lovely week and hope to return to Cribbar again. The milk, tea and coffee were very welcome and the bottle of wine was superb. Thank you so much for a lovely week.

We had a fantastic week.

This is a brilliant apartment with everything that we needed for a week away. The view over Fistral beach is wonderful even in Autumn weather. The care that the owner took to support our stay was exceptional. The setting for us was perfect, close to the beach and the restaurants at Fistral and an easy walk into town.

Flat was brilliant.

with no complaints. Only issue was the parking. The parking is very tight & if all the other spaces had cars parked in them I am not sure if we could have parked the car. Also we a roof box & there were aluminium air ducts in the car parking ceiling which we would have hit with our roof box if my wife had not guided me into the parking space. Other than that holiday was great.

Property wasn’t clean and upstairs was noisy!

Loved it and already booked for next year.

Really appreciated the flowers and prosecco. The dressing gowns were a welcome bonus. Cleanliness was top notch. Great settees in the lounge for relaxing and looking out of the window across the golf course to the surf.

The apartment is amazing and location is just perfect!

The only thing that could have made the apartment itself any better is air con in the bedrooms and extractor fans in the bathrooms- 1 was broken which we were made aware of but the other bathroom didn’t appear to have one. Building wise, the bin store is terrible. I couldn’t see what went where and couldn’t get to the bins due to the amount of glass bottles all over the floor. Also the key pad to get back into the building from the back door doesn’t work so you have to walk all the way back round the building to the front door to get back in. I would definitely book again but if those few things were rectified it would make the stay even better.

This is a truly fantastic property.

Fabulous location with the most amazing view from every window. View maximised in lounge and master bedroom with floor to ceiling windows/patio doors. Like that you are also able to open a window in the rooms without having to open the doors. Balcony is South West facing and as such gets the sun most of the day. Very sheltered from the wind. The apartment was decorated beautifully, well equipped and furniture/beds super comfortable. Nice little touches like wine and flowers left for us. Would most definitely recommend and visit again.

A beautiful apartment in a great location with superb views over Fistral Beach and beyond.

Very well prepared, clean, tidy and comfortable. Located within 10 mins walk of the town centre and a supermarket nearby. You get a bit of noise from the street in evenings when people are passing by but nothing to worry about. Will be coming back.

Just returned from a wonderful week in this fantastic apartment.

The underground carpark was a godsend as it was torrential rain and high winds when we arrived, so able to unload and stay dry. Not sure how you could turn your car if all the spaces were occupied though. Very comfortable furniture and beds, great bathrooms & kitchen, big tv in lounge plus tv’s in bedrooms, large dining table. It has 2 balconies, the larger one off the lounge has comfortable furniture to sit out on. It has amazing views of Fistral beach, the golf course and Pentire headland, perfect for eating your breakfast on and watching the amazing sunsets at night. You can even watch the surfers from the balconies. Perfect location close to beaches, headland walks and restaurants on the doorstep. We only had one problem during our stay which we reported and that was sorted out the following day, brilliant. Just needs a bit more info about the location of the bins outside as we couldn’t find them and had to contact the owner. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would be very happy to stay there again. Didn’t want to leave.

The apartment and the support from the owner were outstanding.

The apartment is so well equipped, it was missing nothing. The parking was really convenient and there was plenty of space to unpack, getting older family members into the car under cover was really great. The views from the balconies were amazing, we could have sat and watched the surf all day. It was convenient for the beach and facilities at Fistral and a short walk into Newquay. We’ll be back next year.

We had a brilliant stay at 8 Cribbar.

After a long journey we were welcomed with a gorgeous bunch of flowers and a bottle of wine. The apartment is beautiful and spacious with amazing views over Fistral. It was so lovely to wake up and sit on the balcony with a cuppa and watch the early morning surfers! Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone.

8 Cribbar was perfect for our family, great location to Fistral beach and the Apartment exceeded our expectations.

We will definitely be going back next year.

We had a lovely week in this apartment.

It was well furnished, with nice homely touches, that really made it feel like home rather than a holiday let. If we were being super picky, it would have been good to have had a colander rather than just a tiny sieve and a measuring jug, we of course found a solution to this and it just goes to highlight how good we found this place if these were the only very slight negatives. The views over the golf course and to the sea were lovely and it was great to just sit back, relax and take it all in. As well as being very close to the beach it is just a short walk to the town, but far enough away not to be disturbed. There was some occasional noise at night from people coming back from the beach bars/restaurants on the road outside but even this could not detract from our enjoyment. In another review the underground tight parking space was mentioned, it is tight but we have a large 4 x 4 and managed to park with relative ease. If we go back to Newquay and it was available, we would definitely book this apartment again, assuming of course that the price does not increase too dramatically after this review

We have stayed here 3 times now as it’s such a comfortable apartment and a good location.

We would love to book again for next year, however, I’m really disappointed to see that the price for the same week has gone up by over £500!!

lovely spacious apartment, overlooking Fistral beach & golf course, lovely views.

Very secure. Nicely furnished with some unusual decorative items. Fresh flowers in a vase to welcome us, nice touch. Suitable for wheelchair user. 10 minutes max walk into town. Nice bars/restaurants down at the . beach. Recommend The Stable where you can sit on the verandah with a beer and pizza watching the surfers. Took us a couple of days to find the welcome booklet, hidden in a drawer, which had all the wifi info etc, might be an idea to leave that out. Plus, info on where to leave the rubbish is incorrect but I'm nitpicking here. The car park space allocated to the apartment is a bit awkward, we have an Audi Q2, anything bigger would struggle.

Fantastic apartment with wonderful views towards the sea and golf course, furnished to a very high standard and extremely comfortable with lots of extras not always found in self catering properties, welcome pack with wine, toiletries and dressing gowns, would definitely recommend.

Few negative points below: More details required re entry procedure. **The garage door code is actually for the pedestrian door to right of garage, you then go in and press the button inside to open main door. **The space for no 8 is far right hand side by the wall and large cars would have difficulty getting into the space especially if all spaces around are taken. **The notes in the property indicate there is limited visitor parking at the rear but this is not the case, the 2 extra spaces are for the penthouses and additional parking is pay and display at the rear or the beach car park. ** The key safe is located in the entrance hall, to left of lift under the stairs and not by the apartment door as one would expect. **The only reason I have marked cleaning down slightly is because the plug holes in the bathrooms and kitchen were disgusting, fortunately there was some bleach in the cupboard which helped, but they could still do with a proper clean.

Amazing views and the apartment was presenter to a very high standard.

Only draw back was the underground parking because we had a large car. Location is absolutely perfect and would definitely stay again.
