“A modern, spacious property with stunning sea views!”

The location is fantastic, with many great places to visit within a 15-45 minute drive. I stayed here with a group of friends last week, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic, with many great places to visit within a 15-45 minute drive. I stayed here with a group of friends last week, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for all of us – five adults and a pup. The property was spotless, and the bedrooms were beautifully decorated to a high standard. Each room had a large TV & the most comfortable bed, although we spent most of our time in the main lounge socialising and relaxing in front of the fire. I stayed in the master bedroom, and I loved watching the sunsets from there every evening—it was quite special. The kitchen is well equipped, though I personally prefer induction hobs over gas (I’m a bit useless with gas hobs, and to me, induction glass hobs are much easier to clean). That said, the gas hobs provided were excellent quality, so there’s no issue, just a personal preference. I also loved the fact that the property is all on one level with a thoughtful layout. As I’m currently recovering from a broken leg, this was incredibly helpful. The garden was well-maintained, though not enclosed (as described on Sykes). This wasn’t an issue for us, as our dog is well-trained and well-behaved. The Shark vacuum cleaner was a nice touch too, especially as I’m a bit of a clean freak! We had a couple of minor issues during our stay, but Charlotte and Paul were fab— One issue was resolved very swiftly and they kept us updated throughout. They even came to the property to apologise in person, which they didn’t need to at all but very much appreciated. The other issue was that the main door (lock) to the decking was broken by the guests who stayed the week before us. However, we didn't let that bother us, as the weather in November was quite cold and damp anyway, so we didn’t spend much time outside. The water pressure at the property is amazing—probably the best in the country, resulting in an incredible shower experience everyday! Overall, I’d happily rate this property 10 out of 10. As mentioned, the faulty door lock didn’t bother us, and the other issue was resolved quickly, so it didn’t cause any inconvenience. We would definitely consider staying here again if we return to the area :)

About the location

GERMOE

Marazion 4 miles, Helston 5.8 miles, Penzance 8.1 miles

Germoe is a village and civil parish resting in easy reach of the coastal village of Praa Sands, sitting on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks – a Post Office and general stores, beach café with fish & chips, and a beach/surf shop stocked with everything you could need for a great day at the beach. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birthplace of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers.

Note; There is a Good Housekeeping Bond of £250 for this property.

Please inform us for housekeeping purposes if you have more than 1 infant attending the property, , so we can provide the correct amount of linen.

Two well behaved, medium sized dogs welcome, however, please be aware the garden is not enclosed.
