Myles View

Myles View is a gem.

It's only a few years old and has everything you need. Access road to the property is tight but you soon get used to it. We had two large 4WD SUVs and it was fine with care. The house has everything you need and more. Don't expect any great mobile signal unless you're up behind the church or down near the shop. Internet in the house is great though so WhatsApp calls are the way to go. Pendeen is a quiet village but lovely nonetheless. Coastal drive to St Ives is stunning. Access to everywhere from Pendeen is easy and main roads are good if you don't fancy the cornish narrow routes. That said it's Cornwall. Sometime and somewhere you're going to have to use a single track road. Owners are lovely people and available if any issues arise. Go. You won't be disappointed

We really enjoyed our stay at Myles View.

It was great to be able to wake up and see views of the sea. The property is spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The beds are super comfortable and having three toilets/bathrooms is very handy. It was also great to have a garage to store surfboards/wetsuits in. We only wish the weather was a little better so we could have used the outside areas more.

Fantastic view of the north coast and well-positioned for witnessing the sun setting in the West. Friendly owners who provided snacks,, drink and flowers as a welcome gift.. Also gave us some recommendations of where to est and visit locally. There was a wood burner which was very effective at warming the downstairs - plenty of firewood provided too. Would be a property to return to.

The property is exactly as described, it's modern and comfortable and ideally placed to explore the far west of Cornwall.

The owners are very nice and live just a few yards away, so are on hand if you need them, but not at all intrusive.

This is a fantastic house.

it was big enough for 6 of us and had everything that you could possibly need. The house was extremely clean and very comfortable. The location is great with a pub and shop nearby. There is a good bus service that run-through the village. the location is quiet but not remote. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Myles View last week to kickstart the summer holidays.

The house is wonderful, with very comfortable and generously sized bedrooms and a fabulous kitchen/dining/living room. We found everything we could possibly need in the kitchen to cook every night during our stay and it was a really lovely and unique touch to find dishwasher and laundry tablets for us to use. The hosts were very welcoming, and gave some great advice on local spots to eat, drink and enjoy some of the lesser known splendours of Cornwall. Thank you so much, we will be back!

We have just had the most fabulous week - we rented Myles View and Charlottes House for us and 2 sons and their partners and 5 grandchildren and a dog!

! The houses are so well equipped and beautifully clean and relaxing. The kids (ranging from 2-16 years old were able to play out safely in the gardens and they absolutely loved it. Thank you for a fabulous stay

We had a great stay and the property was immaculate and had everything you needed.

The owners popped in to introduce themselves and check everything thing was OK and it was great to meet them. The biscuits, juice and milk were greatly appreciated.We have never stopped in a property where dishwasher and washing machine tablets, tin foil and bin liners etc were in abundance little things like this make your stay so much easier. The garden was also immaculate and we enjoyed sitting out on the lovely furniture. There were plenty of walks straight from the door down to the coastal path which we and the dogs really enjoyed. We would definitely recommend staying at Myles view and hopefully return in the future.

Myles View is a wonderful holiday cottage.

It has plenty of room, beds very comfortable, spotlessly clean and really does have everything you need for a great holiday. The welcome pack was also much appreciated, many thanks. We will be back again for another happy holiday!

The house is superb.

It contains virtually everything required for a homely, comfortable holiday. TV’s in the double bedrooms, log burner, lots of crockery and cutlery, it really has the lot. Twenty minute walk down to Pendeen lighthouse, fifteen minutes drive to Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole. The Wi-Fi reception is a bit hit and miss, but not enough to put us off returning. All in all a really great place to stay

Myles view is a beautiful, spacious and comfortable holiday home and is very well equipped.

We received a warm welcoming to this perfectly situated cottage with good access routes to beautiful Cornish beaches. The hosts could not have done enough to ensure our stay was very comfortable. Short drive to Lands End, St Michaels Mount and many more but situated in a relaxing setting. Ideal location for those who either want a family holiday or simply want to unwind.

Great property and location, very quiet, nice view and lots of space, and for us being in a modern house - as ours is a 1870s cottage - is a novelty, and enjoyed the spaciousness.

Good to have a well stocked kitchen with more than the bare minimum of glasses, plates etc as some places do - this was much appreciated - thanks. I guess the only negative is that the enclosed garden was around both houses so we couldn’t really let the dog off the lead without embarrassment (although the other family were v understanding and coped with his accidental visits!).

A perfect place to stay and in the place where everything is within 15-20 minutes, by car or regular bus.

Property was excellent, hosts excellent, and we will return, so many lovely walks from the house with pubs along the way

The house is amazing, fully equipped and very clean.

We stayed there with our two grown up children their partners and our grandson. The beds are extremely comfortable, lots of wardrobe & drawer space. The views are beautiful from the house, at the back you can see the sea and at the front you’ve got hill views. I would definitely recommend staying at the house.

It was clean and well presented. Flowers, milk, juice and biscuits left were a lovely extra. We enjoyed our stay & saw lots of the area around this part of Cornwall. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great stay at Myles View.

Great contact with owners. House very well equipped with quality accessories and every home comfort. Access to property is very limited for above average sized vehicles which should be mentioned. We had a VW transporter and access is very tight, which is bad design as owners own the land into house. We also found the water temperature to be set too low for a bath as only hand hot, this house had eco features so this may be the reason. The property itself was extremely warm and comfortable though. Key safe does need replacing as we struggled to gain access to key as numbers worn away and catch difficult. Still excellent value and one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in.

We have stayed in Myles View previously.

The property is very well maintained and has everything you could possibly need for a self catering break. The open plan setting downstairs is perfect for a large group to spread out. Plenty of seating and a log burner for the cold days. Also plenty of logs which is a bonus. Kitchen is big enough for people to cook together and is very well equipped. Bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds and bedding. Garden is lovely and safe for kids to play in. Garry and Suzanne are on hand to greet you and deal with any issues (we had none) that may arise. Pendeen is a great spot to explore Cornwall. Lands End is always a good day out. Jeremy's Fish and Chip shop in St Just is very good. We have also stayed in Charlotte's House which is right next door. This is just as nice as Myles View and is identical inside. I highly recommend both of these lovely houses for a relaxing stay in a beautiful corner of the country.

Beautiful house in a lovely location.

The house was clean, comfortable and had everything you would need, home from home. We stayed over Christmas and the owners put up a real tree, decorations and left us a lovely hamper including a stocking for Bella. The bedrooms are big, the back ones look out to sea but much closer are a couple of pigmy goats which are fun to watch. We live in Cornwall and holiday in Cornwall and Myles View was a perfect place to stay to enjoy our gorgeous coastline.

The property was really well equipped and comfortable, a home from home.

Pendeen is a great location for coastal walking and exploring Cornwall.

We had an awesome week staying at Myles View.

Great property, location and welcoming hosts. We walked out with Peggy the dog every day, exploring the rugged area and particularly enjoyed the secluded Portheras Cove.

This is my second stay at Myles View and it was every much as wonderful the second time around.

Clean, comfortable, warm with great views of the sea and in an ideal location for the coastal paths. The house has everything you need from the welcome tray of local produce on arrival, to milk and apple juice in the fridge. The outside space is great for entertaining and for the dog. It’s also easy to park 3 cars if necessary. I would definitely recommend a stay here, you will not be disappointed. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed in.

Fabulous property very well equipped couldn't ask for more, everything we needed was there.

Great base for some fantastic walking with ample watering holes along the way! Lovely views from the property would highly recommend. Will no doubt be back soon.

We have been comming to cornwall for our hol's for the past 53 years, and have never had such a lovely house to stay in , so clean ,every thing you need, heated floors, lovely clean white beding, even dog bowles and dog treats.

the owners have truely thought of there holliday makers. 100% will be going back next year, 2023.

Cannot fault anything at all.

Would stay there time and time again. We used the washing machine. If there was room for a tumble dryer that would be great but dried clothes on airer. We have a dog and each time we let him out he has to be on a lead so a fully enclosed garden would be great. However, those are minor luxuries and certainly not deal breakers for us. We have stayed at Myles View twice now and would book again if visiting that area of Cornwall. We love it there. The house is so spacious and comfortable and clean. Would recommend to anybody. Our dog gets very unsettled in new surroundings and even he was comfortable there. Thanks for a lovely holiday. See you again!

WOULD RECOMMEND MYLES VIEW TO ALL.

We found Myles View very comfortable and exceptionally clean.

The location was perfect for the beaches, both locally and at Sennen for surfing. We liked being able to walk to the local pub and the bus stop for trips to St Ives. The garden was great for sitting out in warmer weather and good for the dog too. We also liked having the Carn close by to take the dog for walks. If staying in the West of Cornwall, it would be hard to find somewhere better to stay and we would certainly consider returning to Myles View again.

Although not the fault of the owner.

..there is a poor mobile phone reception in this area, so had to rely on connecting to the house Wi-Fi and then use Whats-app to make or receive calls. The only other comment I would have is that the check-out time is a little too early (9am)...10am would be better. Otherwise, an exceptional holiday cottage with attention to detail for those arriving (tea & coffee in the little packs like you get in hotels - so no worries about them being left by someone before, milk in the fridge, toilet rolls and complementary biscuits, etc.). The owners have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as much as possible. Thank you. Tony

Two beautiful houses, lovely peaceful and well equipped would highly recommend and would certainly come back again.

The cottage was wonderful, very peaceful and was really nicely maintained and looked after.

There were bonus items like fresh flowers, milk, bread and biscuits which were very welcome. Lovely area, not far from all the main attractions, we couldn't fault the house at all. The owners were fantastic, really lovely and super helpful. This cottage is recommended and we will 100% be back!

Myles View is a lovely base to visit the local Cornwall beaches.

The house is beautifully presented with every thing you could need including lots of logs and kindling for the log burner. Spotlessly clean in excellent decorative order, we could not fault it. We had a lovely stay and hope to return in the near future.

A beautiful home from home, spacious and very well equipped.

Perfect location for dog walking and access to the SW Coastal path. A warm welcome from the owners was much appreciated and local amenities were very good with a well stocked shop and a number of places to eat nearby. Despite our trip being in late November the weather was amazing with clear blue skies and sunshine almost every day. Highly recommended.

Myles View was used by us to stay in Cornwall prior to and after our daughters wedding at Morvah.

The location was perfect, the owners could not have been more helpful and even waved our daughter off on the big day. I cannot recommend highly enough, the rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, wood for the burner supplied, the view is fabulous and everything you need is provided including milk in the fridge on arrival, a Saffron loaf and lovely bunch of flowers. Will definitely book again.

two very small points.

There were no extra toilet rolls provided . I thought this strange because there were plenty of spares of everything else you could need. The quilt on the bed in the ensuit bedroom seemed a bit narrow for the bed.

Myles View is a wonderful spacious house, the beds were very comfortable and the house had everything you would wish for.

It was spotlessly clean and in a brilliant position to visit all of west Cornwall. We did lots of coastal walking and then managed a quick walk up to the view point behind the house on a few evenings. We loved our holiday at Myles View and will certainly stay again. Myles view is easily the nicest holiday house we have ever stayed in, beautifully furnished and lovely additional touches such as fresh flowers on the table and a more than ample welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar and treats etc.

Very friendly owners who came over to introduce themselves as they live a stones throw away and explain a bit about the area. Brillant location for exploring Cornwall, but also proximity to Sennen Cove where our kids spent most of their time body boarding, the local beach is breathtaking but not easily accessible so not one we spend an awful lot of time on. We ate out and dined in and both options were great, lots of local eateries and pubs if you want to get away form the kitchen but the kitchen in the house had everything you could need and more to cook a large family meal. Hopefully we will get the chance to return.

It is an impressive house in a good location and the owners were very welcoming and approachable. It met all of our needs form grandparents to the babies in our group.

Pendeen is a great base. The main reason for our visit was to attend a family wedding at the church in Pendeen which was fantastic despite covid restrictions on numbers. We already knew the area well but found some new footpaths to explore and some secret places away from the crowds. The cottage was well equipped and extremely clean, cosy and comfortable. It was especially light and airy and made a good base for my parents who are aged 80+.The welcome pack was very generous and the owners pleasant and helpful. Thank you. We hope to return one day.

Given there were various hiccups regarding return travel arrangements for my daughter , baby and her husband.

ie the high speed trains returning to London from Cornwall had been cancelled, Suzanne was very helpful and flexible and offered for us to stay an extra night if we needed. The house was located near to the church and was very quiet, spacious, clean, comfortable and had very up to date, excellent equipment and there was a nice view of the sea one side and the Carn up a hill on the other. It is a stone's throw away from the Spar which we found very useful and walking distance to two pubs where you can get takeaways and the excellent fish and chip shop "Lill's". There is a lovely, easy walk to Pendeen lighthouse and rocky coves. where the view is spectacular. We did not visit many sights nearby because so many were closed due to Covid but it is well located for Penzance and st Ives as well as Cape Cornwall and St. Just.Thoroughly recommend the house.

Myles View was the best equipped holiday cottage that we have ever stayed in, the area is brilliant if you are a walker and the local shop stocked most things.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in early November staying here and we would definitely come back again.

Loved the property and the location.

The owners met us shortly after arrival to say a brief hello which was a nice touch. Would recommend this property as a good base to explore the surrounding area, lots of nice towns are a short drive away. Can't fault anything.

Fantastic and homely cottage situated in a perfect area for venturing out to visit local beaches and attractions.

The owners were also lovely & welcoming. Cannot fault anything, everything you can think of was catered for at the property & we all had a fabulous time. Our dog also had her own treats and bowl of water waiting for her. Would thoroughly recommend!!!

We were very impressed by the hospitality of the owners of Myles View.

There were biscuits, saffron cake and lots of tea/chocolate and coffee sachets and milk and fruit juice in the fridge. The cottage was very well equipped everything we needed for self catering. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and very good Covid procedures followed. The owners popped round to introduce themselves they were very friendly. Loved the very comprehensive TV package and access to free logs for the woodburner.

Superb accommodation- exemplary cleanliness, beautiful and well-equipped house.

The beds and bedlinen are top quality. Lovely open sea views, so peaceful, and ideally located for exploring this atmospheric and unique area. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. We’ve stayed in dozens of holiday homes over the years and Myles View is the best we’ve experienced. Really exceptional and recommend without hesitation.

The property was very well presented with flowers, milk, juice and many extras on arrival and we were also greeting by the owners after our arrival which was lovely.

The village of Pendeen has everything you need on arrival such as; chip shop, restaurant’s and a well stocked local shop and the locals are friendly too. There is easy access to the local shops via a bus route, taxi or your car there is a variety of local supermarkets. The locations also provides easy access to lovely sites for you to explore. We especially liked the Dolphin in Penzance lovely food and welcoming to dogs.

Lovely modern clean cottage from memory foam mattresses to crisp white sheets and towels (I feel the need to mention this, as many other cottages we stayed in, seem to think its ok to obtain these 2nd hand!

). Lovely friendly owners and family. Super sun sets from garden over the ocean!

Myles View was a beautiful place to stay.

We were really impressed with the standard of the property. The owners had left some welcome treats such as biscuits, cake, fresh flowers and milk in the fridge. Very thoughtful. They came and introduced themselves not long after we arrived which was lovely. The house itself was spotless, comfortable and very well equipped. We have stayed in quite a few cottages and this was the one that lacked nothing. Sleeps 7, there weren’t just 7 plates, bowls, mugs etc. Plenary of everything. Lovely not to have to think about that. Every bit of equipment needed was there. Very very impressed. Sadly, we had to leave a little earlier than we should have done. The owners were lovely about this and looked in on our eldest daughter who stayed. As we had to leave in a hurry I didn’t get chance to write in the visitors book to tell the owners how wonderful everything was, but I would visit this property again without hesitation.

The property was very well equipped.

It was really comfortable, beds were great. We were made welcome by Garry and Suzanne and even the dog was welcomed. Dog bowls and dog treats. The surrounding area is beautiful very scenic and the villagers were very welcoming and friendly including the vicar whom we met out on a walk. Highly recommend this cottage.
