Pheasant View

Both being mid 70 years young we found the step into the cottage a little high and in need of a grab handle and we were left to find out how all the kitchen appliances operated, we had no actual contact with the owners at all.

As we have family living in the Falmouth/Constantine area we have been visiting Cornwall over the last 60 years and have found the Carnon Downs area pretty well central for days out, North South East or West, and a good pub within walking distance was a bonus.

This was our 3rd stay at Pheasant View, and ideal for us and our 2 dogs to enjoy visiting Cornwall.

Property was well fitted out and prepared as usual, situated in a quiet setting, and only 5 minutes drive from National Trust Trelissick, a great place to visit and great for dog walking. Hosts excellent as always.

A lovely last minute christmas break.

Accommodation was lovely,clean , warm and well equipped, Pub was warm and welcoming and very convenient. Surrounding areas were beautiful with dog friendly walks to the estuary and beyond. A lovely relaxing break for both us and the dogs. Thank you.

We had a lovely week at Pheasant view.

It was a perfect location for exploring Cornwall. Spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped. Very comfortable cosy cottage. Pub two doors away very nice with lovely food (and great cider!). The weather wasn’t kind to us, but it didn’t stop us exploring. We would highly recommend Pheasant View. A small down side was that there wasn’t an enclosed garden for the dog, would have been an issue if the weather had been good as we couldn’t leave the door open. Not great if your dog is an escape artist! Other than that, we had a fabulous week.

This property is clean and very well presented.

It is also very well equipped with everything you would need during your stay. Being just a few minutes outside Truro you are very close to the centre whilst being in a quiet rural location. The owner was very friendly and helpful but respected our privacy at all times. The location was perfect for us as we used it as a base to visit different places and you are pretty central to many parts of Cornwall.

Such a comfy well presented cottage.

Ideal for many beaches only 1/2 hr away. Petrol station and pub on the doorstep. National trust properties close by. Peaceful evenings listening to owls, sheep and yes pheasants! Dog walks literally on the doorstep. We made use of the garden in front of the owners cottage but there were enough places to take the dogs without worrying. A week blessed with sunshine everyday made it for us

Great location, very clean and modern annex with parking.

The only downside was the lack of any enclosed garden for our dog or for us to sit.I think the picture of the garden in the brochure is a little deceiving as the garden looks enclosed but is the front garden that belongs to the main house rather than the annex. Could do with a couple of casserole type dishes in the kitchen Overall it was adequate for a short stay.

The best holiday cottage that we have stayed in.

Accomodation was all that you needed, very clean and up to date. Excellent facilities that all worked! Helpful and pleasant owners that were on the site. An excellent choice for somewhere to stay.

Accommodation was modern and clean and had everything we needed. Ideally situated for touring Cornwall. Welcome goodies were delicious.

A well appointed property and situated within easy reach of a number of towns and tourist attractions.

Several places to eat were nearby. We enjoyed our stay at Pheasant View.

I had a lovely time in the wonderful Pheasant's View.

The space was modern and clean and clearly built with love. It was the perfect starting point for some adventures with my dogs. Thank you for the small, thoughtful moments - such as the milk in the fridge and the ginger biscuits. I would highly recommend staying in this wonderful cottage.

Pheasant view is a very nice place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

As older people we found the couch a little too low and difficult to get out of. The bed on the other hand was extremely comfortable, and all facilities excellent. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed her stay too!
