Perfect location for relaxing by the sea and for beautiful coastal walks. Just a few maintenance and cleaning issues let the place down a little. We found at the end of our stay there was not enough room in the bins to accommodate 2 bags of general waste and recycling (we left a note apologising for this) We were unable to use any heated towel rails, very inconvenient, as they “tripped” when switched on which affected some of the kitchen sockets at the same time One of the sets of bedside drawers in the downstairs bedroom was broken therefore we did not use it ( we took photo on arrival) We noticed there was a dent/ crack in the kitchen worktop near the hob on arrival (took a photo on arrival) Underfloor heating was only working in bathroom downstairs, not upstairs, or we could not get it to work Drying programme om washing machine was not working properly as after 4 hours towels were still soaking wet (we left note reporting this) It looks like something has been used to wipe down the covering on the dining chairs or they have just been exposed to the heat/sun as the surfaces appear to be shredding daily Both bins were grubby and needed cleaning at start of holiday There were lots of crisps between the cushions on the sofa Very greasy oven and trays set off smoke alarm when used A suggestion would be a larger pan be available as making pasta for 6 took 3 pans otherwise the kitchen had everything we needed In general, just a few cleaning and maintenance problems for what is a lovely holiday home in which we would stay again.

The accommodation is good, but there were some problems.

Maintenance had been neglected. Some of the oven trays had been put away with fat on them. More importantly, the boiler didn’t work because it had no pressure (we fixed that), and the vacuum cleaner hose had become detached—not just unscrewed—(we fixed that too). It was very difficult to get a reasonable temperature in the property; the bathrooms were excessively hot until we turned off the heated towel rails. After the first day, the lower garden gate wouldn’t open, even though we had been through it on the first day. It’s a shame, because the place is in a great location and is otherwise very comfortable.

Well equipped with everything you need. Very clean with good quality bedding and towels. Perfect location for relaxing by the sea and for beautiful coastal walks. As mentioned in a previous review, the lock on the outside waste bin does not open. Would highly recommend this apartment and hope to visit again soon.

Our second visit to this lovely property.

We were very happy to settle back into the comfort of Praa Waves. Its spacious balcony overlooking the sea provided many hours of enjoyment in the mornings and evenings. The bedrooms are spacious snd comfortable beds and wonderfully efficient showers make each day a joy. Little things niggle. 1. Toilet rolls should be added to the list of “take it with you” as there were no extra tolls in the house and those already in the bathrooms were depleted. 2. The oven needed attention as it had not been cleaned. An oven pan thickly coated with stale oil made a very unpleasant smell when the oven was turned on. 3. The refuse bin for Praa waves ( number 6) is the only bin that is locked. We could not find a key and though we rang, enquiring about this we received no response. However, nothing really can spoil the pure enjoyment of staying at Praa Waves and we hope to return next year.

Hi Lovely apartment and we have stayed in it many times.

The cream leather sofa really could do with a clean as the leather is quite dirty. Sykes are very difficult to contact. I tried several times before leaving home to speak to someone even used the chat facility. I was told an agent would contact me but no one did. I just wanted to know if there was a cot and high chair at the property and no one contacted me! I also asked if the sheets etc could be changed halfway through our visit as staying for two weeks! The floor mop in the cupboard also started to smell after the first few days of our holiday Lovely property though

An exact description of the property, faultless inside and out, really enjoyed our stay and will certainly look to return.
