There were a couple of things ( this is not a complaint, but feedback is important). When we came the first time, There were extra blankets. There were also plenty of towels for the dog, we had everything we could possibly need. We came again in September and noticed a couple of things different- no dog towels. There were also plenty of towels for the dog, we had everything we could possibly need. We came again in September and noticed a couple of things different- no dog towels. We mentioned it to the cleaner who arrived as we were leaving, who was very surprised and said she was sure the towels should have been there. Whilst not a huge thing, our next visit, again, no towels, so we needed to make a trip to Asda, as we felt it very unfair to bring our dog into the house after walks up in the woods and beach. Our main concern was the cold. The main bedroom was ok with the heater turned up, but the second bedroom was an ice block, and the second bathroom was so cold we couldn't use it. The bedroom heater was on at the wall, but ice- cold and never gave any heat at all. We did use the little fan heater, but obviously we couldn't leave that unattended or on at night. My husband offered to swap duvets ( We sleep separately due to health reasons) but both were summer duvets so there was no point. So another trip was needed to Asda to buy blankets .
We used the fire each evening, but had to buy wood. I think, given that there is no heating in the lounge or bedroom, wood/ coal should be supplied.
As I said, this is not a complaint, but if there are no dog towels it should be stated so that people can bring there own.
I do think the heating should be seen to . I'm sure there are many people who choose, like us to come in cooler months and I have just seen a review from Dec 2025 saying about the cold, so this has obviously not been addressed.
As stated before, we love the cottage and these things wouldn't stop us coming back, but they are things that need addressing.

We’re very sorry to hear that the bedroom was cold. Following previous feedback, we arranged for the storage heaters to be checked, but it sounds like that particular heater might need replacing. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we'll ensure it's properly resolved for future guests.
