The property

Sitting in a prominent position above the rooftops of Newquay in Cornwall is this third-floor apartment, 23 Tre Lowen.

Just 400 meters from Fistral beach, and boasting views across the Cornish coastline, this contemporary apartment is the perfect setting for a romantic escape to this stunning part of the country.

A sought-after off-road parking space greets you at the base of the apartment building, ideal for a staycation in this popular seaside resort and making it easy to come and go to visit the neighbouring towns and attractions as you please.

Climb the stairs to the third floor and enter into the apartment where you'll be greeted into the hallway, providing handy storage space for your sandy flip flops and any beach going essentials, before continuing through to the open-plan living space.

You'll be delighted by the neutral décor and modern furnishings that the social space boasts, featuring a contemporary kitchen fit with gleaming white cupboards and silver accents and amply-equipped with all the necessities to prepare a delicious meal to enjoy with your significant other around the intimate dining table.

After indulging in your tasty delights, head out to the balcony to take in the views across the rooftops to the distant coastline, soaking in the fresh sea air as you toast a glass of fizz to a wonderful holiday.

After an action-packed day, let the television do the entertaining and snuggle up together on the sofa to watch one of your favourite films, before heading to the bathroom to prepare for bed with a rejuvenating soak in the tub or a steamy shower, depending on your preference.

Retire to the well-presented bedroom, featuring a sumptuous king sized bed, decorated with a glamorous plush headboard, to rest your eyes ahead of another day of adventure and wake up as the sun rises and floods the room with natural light through the towering picture windows.

Grab your sunglasses and head out of the door to Fistral Beach, just 400m away, the venue for most major international surfing competitions due to its Atlantic swells ensuring consistent waves, where you can hire a lounger and relish in the warmer weather in the Summer months or thrill-seekers can visit Fistral Beach Surf School for a lesson in surfing or bodyboarding.

You can also head north to Watergate Bay if you wanted a beautiful long stretch of beach.

Visit over 1,000 of the world's rarest and endangered animals at Newquay Zoo followed by a leisurely stroll around Trenance Gardens or test your swing at Newquay Golf Club.

If you don't fancy cooking, the town hosts a number of pubs and restaurants to indulge in a bite to eat, including The Boathouse - Street Food on the Beach, perfectly positioned on the beachfront and housing numerous food stalls to choose from, or for a spot of luxury, head to local favourite, Lewinnick Lodge, set above the cliffs of Pentire Headland, serving up the catch of the day and boasting panoramic views across the Atlantic.

To escape the hustle and bustle of Cornwall's most popular seaside resort, head to the nearby village of Crantock, home to a beautiful sandy beach that is cared for by the National Trust.

Take the tranquil costal walk from Crantock through to Holywell Bay, where filming for the historical television drama Poldark took place.

However you plan to spend your time, 23 Tre Lowen is a idyllic base for your next escape to the coast.
