Fistral Palms 2 is a bright coastal house set in Newquay, Cornwall, within easy reach of golden beaches and benefiting from off-road parking and a sheltered rear courtyard.

As you arrive, step straight into the open-plan living space, where the kitchen, dining area, and sitting area flow together to create a sociable hub for your stay; prepare simple suppers or hearty breakfasts, gather around the table to chat through the day’s plans, then settle by the electric fire for a film night on the TV.

Upstairs, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom offer calm corners to unpack belongings and retreat with a book, served by a contemporary bathroom housing both a bath and a walk-in shower, while the ground-floor cloakroom with basin and WC adds extra convenience between beach outings.

On bright mornings, throw open the doors to the courtyard and enjoy fresh coffee or an evening drink at the outdoor table, using the sea air and quiet setting to pause between adventures.

The property boasts a perfect location, close to a few propular cafes including Bodhis, The Windswept and the Kraken Kiosk, together with several large luxury hotels that offer non residential use of their bars and restaurants and even entertainment during the Summer months.

Close by is the prestigious Lewinnik Lodge Restaurant on the Pentire Peninsular with fabulous views which can be reached very quickly via a short walk.

Newquay’s sandy shorelines are spectacular, including the famous Fistral Beach, invites you to try surfing, paddle in the shallows or simply watch the waves roll in, enjoy a coffee at Sea Spray Cafe before following the South West Coast Path for sweeping sea vistas.

To the south is the acclaimed beach at Crantock singled out by the Sunday Times as the UK's best family beach.

The walk to Crantock is a short distance from the property and spectacular but make sure you check the tide times first, walk along the stunning River Gannel Estuary, a tidal river which can be explored by kayak, canoe, bike or horseback, all of which can be hired locally.

If the tide is high and preventing walking along the sandy riverbed, take the ferry which has been running since 1910 from the Fernpit café to Crantock beach part of the National Trust, the café is known as Newquay's best kept secret and provides legendary crab sandwiches and is also well known for fresh homemade cakes, perfect to round off a day on the beach or even to pop up to for lunch.

Families and friends can enjoy classic seaside attractions, from the Blue Reef Aquarium and Newquay Zoo to boat trips and beachside cafés dotted around the harbour.

Further along the coast, the sheltered cove and golden sands of Porth and nearby Watergate Bay offer more opportunities for watersports and shoreline walks, while food lovers may be drawn towards Padstow for harbourfront restaurants and Cornish treats.

A short drive will take you to Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s.

Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path.
