Situated in the centre of the picture-postcard fishing port of Mevagissey, just a stone's throw from the harbour, is this tastefully furnished apartment.

Set on the first floor of a house, tucked away in the market square, this superb holiday let is perfect for a couple or a small family of four looking to explore the south coast.

After parking directly outside, you access Fishermans Loft via 12 stairs, into the impressive open-plan living room.

With a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable sitting and dining area, you will find this a most relaxing haven after a day walking the spectacular coastal path.

There are two bedrooms, both beautifully furnished in keeping with the rest of the apartment and a bathroom ideal for a leisurely soak after a day on the beach.

With a twin harbour providing a safe haven for the many fishing boats that land their daily catch, you will have ample opportunity to sample the freshest fish in one of the many seafood restaurants.

Why not try a fishing trip or a beautiful boat trip whilst watching out for dolphins, basking sharks and seals sunbathing on the rocks?

There is an array of pubs, shops and restaurants set in the maze of narrow streets that cluster around the harbour walls.

Stroll the streets and absorb the sea breeze.

Visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan or the Eden Project, Cornwall's two leading attractions, both of which are just a short drive away.

St. Austell 5.5 miles; Truro 16 miles.

The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September. Spend some time at the Tall Ships harbour at Charlestown (7 miles) with its shipwreck museum, or among the tropical biomes of the world-famous Eden Project (11 miles). The stunning coastline, fabulous beaches and renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula are a short drive down the coast while Truro, with its shops, restaurants, theatre and cathedral can be reached by car in half an hour.
