Midships

Midships was a very comfortable apartment , spotlessly clean and well maintained.

It’s in an excellent location in Mevagissey with allocated parking in the centre of the town. Truan the property manager was fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help and accommodate us when we had a problem with our car we will be back

Midships is a first floor apartment, not too many steps.

First impression was a clean, well presented modern accommodation, with a welcome pack. Comfortable seating and bed, plenty of hot water a great shower. Situated just a few steps from the harbour and local shops, cafes etc. The only negative and not something the owner can do anything about is the earlyish deliveries to the Public House across the road. Usually between 7am and 9am. On site parking is a big bonus as on street parking is not available. Highly recommend Midships in Megavissy.

Fabulous apartment in the centre of Mevagissey with shops, restaurants and pubs on the doorstep.

Harbour a few steps away. Spotlessly clean with everything you could need for a comfortable stay Carparking is a huge bonus

Lovely spotlessly clean and very comfortable apartment.

Perfect location with the bonus of a parking space. Great communication with the property manager, who is only a message away for any questions. We loved Midships.....No negatives at all.

Lovely apartment that had everything we needed.

Was immaculately clean and very modern. Having two bathrooms and parking space were a bonus. Loved staying right in the centre of the village, lovely pubs and places to eat.

Excellent accommodation a few hundred metres from the harbour.

Clean, comfortable with spacious lounge and well equipped kitchen. Own parking space which was very convenient. Would definitely recommend Big thanks to Truan and his warm welcome

Third time I’ve stayed at amidships love the place

Great stay at Midships.

Onsite parking which is a real bonus in a busy little village. Midships had everything we needed, food, drink available just steps away. There was some external noise which has been mentioned but it did not spoil our stay.

I still think you would benefit from lighter weight duvets in the summer.

The thick one is just too hot. Other than that love staying there.

The property was just perfect for us.

Clean and with everything we needed. Loved the two bathrooms & the extra tv in the bedroom. Location was great and we had the added bonus of a parking space. Check in was so easy. The property is stylish & modern. We will definitely return when we can. Thank you to all involved in making our holiday very comfortable and special.

We had a very good stay at Midships.

The property is very well stocked with everything we needed. The wardrobe is small ( two people for two weeks), but we managed. Advisable to take extra hangers. The only minor criticism is that when I took the cushions off the sofa to tidy up on the day of leaving, I found some dust and peanuts from previous guests. Apart from that, we have absolutely no complaints and would be happy to stay there again.

Very enjoyable comfortably stay lovely views and walks around the harbour very friendly place.

Euan was very helpful nothing was to much trouble for him he is a asset to your company . Many Thanks Mr&Mrs Barton

Very clean and comfortable, great location

Another great stay.

Returns will definitely follow. We loved the added front aspect, compared to Captain's Cabin. The bathroom was exquisite! Some coat hooks on the back of the door would really help everyone I think. The toaster was brilliant fun. We had everything we needed for catering and living (even a clothes rack and ironing facilities. Fabulous location and invaluable parking.

Really pleased with Midships centrally located and parking a major bonus .

The inside is immaculately cleaned and lovely design throughout light and airy

This is the second time we have stayed at Midships so obviously we are happy with the accommodation.

The early morning deliveries due to the close proximity of the pub and shop are still there, but we are normally up and about by 7 o`clock so not too bad and it is not everyday. Last year I mentioned the fact that the access to the property through the gate at the front is very dark in the evenings as we are here in November and it gets dark very early. We take a torch with us, but a couple of spotlights on sensors would benefit. Overall again, excellent accommodation in a good location. We will be back again next year.

enjoyable holiday

The flat was an amazing experience to be in the center of a town we have fallen in love with.

The location of Midships is perfect being right in the heart of the town and the parking space is a bonus!

The apartment is modern with everything you need to hand. We arrived to it being in a spotless condition, thanks to Truan, the site manager, of whom was incredibly helpful during our stay. As other guests have stated, it is unfortunately very noisy especially early in the morning. Mevagissey is a beautiful town, with lovely shops, eateries and a bustling atmosphere. There are lovely beaches and places to visit nearby. We did quite a few coastal walks, a couple tracked directly from Mevagissey.

Excellent location beautiful property caters for all needs and the parking is a bonus.

A fabulous apartment in a great location with the all important parking space.

The apartment was cleaned to a very high standard. Bed lovely and comfortable. The caretaker, Truan a real asset when we experienced a small problem which was tended almost immediately.

Second time we have stayed at Midships and as on a previous visit the apartment was beautifully clean and well maintained.

The welcoming bottle of wine was a surprise and one we were very appreciative of. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable stylish place to stay in Mevagissey.

A larger brush for sweeping the floor would have been useful.

A couple of dishwasher tablets to get started An earlier check in - though we were informed we could arrive early as the apartment was standing empty A later check out - 9:00am was going to be a struggle so we left Friday late afternoon. On a personal note, we found your instructions to be rather draconian - and having been in the Forces it felt like “March out day” all that was missing was a representative with a clipboard!

A really lovely modern flat in the centre of Mevagissey which has free car parking place, which is a bonus.

The flat is very comfortable with a nice size kitchen/diner/kitchen as well as a lovely bathroom, additional shower room, and double bed room. Close to pubs and restaurants. A little gem.

Great stay, a few reviews mention early morning noise from vehicles delivering to the pub and shop outside.

There was, but it didn`t bother us as it was usually around 7 o`clock, sometimes slightly earlier, sometimes later and as early risers, we were usually up and about by then. A set of draws somewhere would be nice as there was only hanging space with 12 hangers, luckily we took spare hangers with us as there are never enough wherever you stay. Only a small dustpan and brush. A longer handled version or better still a vacuum to keep the floor clean would be better. We visited in November which means early darkness, so an outside light would be nice as it is very dark through the gate and round the back to the accommodation. One with a sensor would be ideal, so it only comes on when people activate it. Having a parking space is a big plus. We stayed in Mevagissey last year in a cottage with a great view overlooking the harbour. Unfortunately no parking so you had to leave the car on the opposite side of the harbour and walk back round, so the parking space at Midships is a very welcome. For us, the pros far out way the cons, so we have already booked up for another stay at Midships next year. Looking forward to it.

Great place to stay.

Lovely well maintained appartment. A small vacuum and floor mop would be recommended. As only had a dustpan and brush for cleaning. But would stay hear again definitely.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this bright modern apartment which was spotlessly clean.

The position in the centre of the village and very close to the harbour was ideal. Having an allocated parking space was really a bonus. More storage space for clothes in the bedroom would have been appreciated. The only other issue was that we were not given the correct telephone number in order to contact the owner for key collection.

Really pleasant place with everything you need.

Location is superb, one minute from the front. Parking next to building is a huge bonus. Can be noisy at night due to seagulls as we sleep with the windows open, we found having all the other windows open and the bedroom one closed helped.

Apartment was great , clean and ideal location, the deliveries were constant and noisy but there’re nowhere else for people to stop , a-bit off putting really .

A real gem so lovely and clean and modern right in the midfle of the village with parking perfect holiday destination.

Not enough towels, 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per person for 5 days is ridiculous.

Not enough toilet rolls either. Overall flat is good and well equipped. Very noisy though outside but to be expected given location. Parking is great but expect your car to be totally covered by pigeon droppings.

We were delighted with the flat, brilliant location and a bonus having the on site parking place.

We found the flat clean, nice towels and linen. Really modern kitchen, hot shower room and nice bathroom. Would definitely use again if available.

It was a lovely apartment and the parking in the centre of Mevagissey was a bonus.

My only criticisms are small, I was given the wrong number to text to find out the key instructions and there is very little clothes storage area or space to hang damp coats.

Very clean and comfortable.

Great location with added bonus of private parking.

Outstanding experience

What a gem .

.. Absolutely fabulous a very nice welcome when you arrive the apartment is beautiful, very clean and fresh, they have provided everything you can think of. It is in an excellent location very central and just round the corner from the harbour, the parking space is a major bonus.

See "Midships" guest book.

definitely book again

Property was very clean and comfortable.

Parking was a big plus but it is tight and difficult if you need to turn around or if the Cafe van was parked there also. Very minor points which would have just made things a little easier... coat hooks in the bathrooms for dressing gowns etc and maybe a shelf to place toiletries, razors etc in the shower room. But these are very minor comments. Also, not sure if this is possible, but access to sky or netflix etc without each holiday maker having to enter or register their details. But overall, a lovely apartment .

This apartment is superb.

It's central to the village with all amenities on the doorstep and the luxury of a parking space means that you don't need to use the car. Plenty of fabulous walks straight from the door. As others have mentioned there is a desperate need for storage in the bedroom and hooks on doors - we had to keep our clothes (except those we could hang) in our suitcases as nowhere to put them. Some dishwasher tablets would have been a nice touch but other than that the apartment was exceptionally clean and furnished with everything you could possibly need. Thank you Louise for your help during our stay and the wonderful bottle of bubbly to bring in the New Year

On arrival we were welcomed with a wonderful fresh smell which was matched with the cleanliness of the entrance way and apartment.

Parking was a real bonus. It was noisy with delivery/collections from the pub opposite first thing in the morning however we did enjoy the benefits of a central location. We felt that a chest of drawers would have been useful and some hooks on the back of doors or in the hallway for coats. On the whole the apartment was delightful and finished to a high standard. We had a wonderful holiday. We would come back here again and recommend to others.

Good central position, but quite noisy early morning with deliveries etc.

Very good location for staying in Mevagissey and good parking facility.

Having the carparking space was a real bonus.

it is noisy with deliveries and the sea gull make a real mess or your car. Ear plugs is a must to take with you. But this is village life. Loved sitting in the window people watching.plenty of places to eat but in these times booking is priority. Everyone very helpfulful

Excellent location.

Right in the centre of the town. Great to have your own allocated parking space. However, because you are so conveniently situated the one negative is the noise from early refuse collection each morning at 6am. The flat itself is very comfortable and with generous supplies. We have stayed in one bedroom accommodation before where there were very few glasses and mugs supplied: Midships had plenty. Louise the owner was very helpful and responded very quickly to our queries.

Fantastic apartment, beautifully furnished and equipped wtih everything needed.

Central to Mevagissey and easy to explore rest of Cornwall. Parking on site an added bonus. Highly recommended.

Excellent apartment in the middle of town, 1 minute from the harbour, if I were to return to Mevagissey I would use Midships again.

It can be a bit noisy in the mornings being next to the pub and shop with them receiving deliveries. The only thing I can think of to improve the apartment is coat hooks on the back of the doors, they would be very handy.

Excellent, 1st class accommodation.

Was in a very good position for exploring Cornwall.

Beautiful new apartment, 2 minute walk round to the harbour perfect location in the town, it had been well cleaned but a few things stood out like in the drawers in the bathroom and bedroom there were some hairs and fluff left from previous guests.

In the bathroom there was no soap on the sink, which considering covid I would of thought there should be as soap in the shower room sink. The bed was ok but heavy noisey mattress protector and duvet, also pillows were so new and big they made your head sit up, we ended up not using them. It was disappointing that in the handbook it said there should be tea, coffee, milk when you arrive, but nothing, we arrived late on the Saturday and then Sunday morning the shop hadn’t had milk delivery so we had to wait to go out on the Sunday to get a morning drink. We booked the week before our stay, had the confirmation email from Sykes saying we could check in from 3 and depart by 10, then we messaged the lady about the key collection and within 5 days it had then changed from check in at 5 and depart by 9. That should of been in the confirmation email in the first place. These are all small picky things, overall we had a lovely stay but if these were corrected it would have been perfect.

Great position , and with parking space, very clean and modern , just loved it
