Wow, this place is the dream you dream about, beautiful, relaxing, stylish, fantastic art work, well equipped and that magical 12meters to the beach.

Lovely walks and Mevagissey just over the hill, with cafes, cute shops and a pub with a cat, what more could you want. Parked the car up at the rear (yes my ford fiesta fit easily) only moved it once to collect supplies from supermarket (6 miles away) We got so much positive vibes and energy with no negativity at all from this absolutely amazing home. So much so we have booked again for next May. Thank you so much for sharing your magical space with us Andy & Alison

A little bit noisy from other appartements due of course to old buldings

We booked a 3 night stay and found that the property had everything we needed.

It was just a short walk ,over the hill into Mevagissey. I loved sitting in the window seat and watching the sea. The bed was very comfy. Our only regret was that we hadn’t booked for longer

Never again.

Freezing cold on arrival with little signs all over the place that things don’t work properly. Unable to use the advertised bath, after I had to clean it myself, as the hot water system is not functioning correctly, the owner admitted this is a long time issue not mentioned in the listing.. Property is very slanted too so we felt seasick walking around. Bed rock hard. Owner requested heating and hot water used sparingly to reduce their costs, I don’t go on holiday to worry about other people’s bills. Log basket was padded out and only half full with a snotty tissue, pasty bag and yoghurt wrapper in it. Got no sleep due to being able to hear the constant movement all night from the flat upstairs too. Followed all instructions from the owner and property manager to try to get the hot water going and was told to run a bath with the kettle. Old food in the freezer that wasn’t ours. Sykes customer service refused to help

Lovely cottage in a stunning location, 15 minute walk to Mevagissey for shops and places to eat.

Kitchen was well equipped but could do with nicer glasses instead of plastic ones. Thank you for the scones but we couldn’t use the milk as it had gone off and was lumpy. There was also no starter pack for the log burner, just papers and matches. The shower was not hot enough and the tank or pipe work vibrated and made a humming noise when the hot water was drawn. We found the gentleman living in the cottage upstairs to be quite noisy, lots of walking around and going to the toilet in the early hours.

A lovely little property, clean, fresh and comfortable and everything you need.

We had lovely weather and it was a very relaxing break. Highly recommend

Lovely location ,cosy cottage decorated and furnished to a high standard Only let down was the hot water in the bathroom took so long to come through,by the time you had enough water for a bath it was cold Could also do with a baking sheet and smaller roasting dishes

A fabulous second stay at this wonderful cottage.

It wants for nothing with lovely walks from the doorstep, the Rising Sun pub close by serving hearty meals and views of the sea from the lounge window seat. A real gem

What a fantastic place!

Right near the beach, spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. Sitting out on the patio watching the sunrise was just the perfect start to the day... and it's a lovely area for swimming and exploring. I loved the little touches that made the cottage a home from home - from the welcome pack to the owner's beautiful paintings on the walls, her help-yourself box of art materials to use, and the supplies of all the things we always forget to take with us like salt, pepper, tea, coffee, loo rolls etc. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We'll be back!

Absolutely beautiful little getaway.

Fabulous place and everything has been thought about so carefully! You can feel the love and care that has been put into making this place special and a home from home for all who visit. Loved the Cornish cream tea welcome pack. Spent many an hour sat in the window seat watching the world go by. Would without doubt return in a heartbeat! Beautiful cottage in the most perfect location.

Everything as described in the listing. Lovely welcome gift discovered in the fridge upon arrival. The owners had gone to great lengths with information posted all around the property to ensure our stay was perfect. We did manage to shoehorn our car in (Mazda CX30) to the left of the row of properties to take advantage of the parking space to the rear (this included folding in the wing mirrors and lots of breathing in). We enjoyed several walks into Mevagissey which provided stunning views across the harbour and the town itself and the ferry across to Fowey just has to be done! All in all an amazing stay in a gorgeous place and would certainly recommend Waves End to anyone looking for the ultimate Cornish getaway!

We could not fault the property or the owners care after we could not enter the property due to the entry code had been altered prior to our arrival,this took 1hour to sort out trying to contact Sykes and there emergency assistance who only had the same code as what I had, Very disappointed with Sykes.

We were delighted with this cosy little cottage (ground level apt).

Location was excellent just ten/fifteen minutes walk from busy Mevagissey. The QR codes offering comprehensive details and advice from the owners was extremely helpful - familiarising things before arrival - especially the drive over ‘the hill’. The decor and furnishings were of good spec., just right for the property making it light yet cosy. Fab bed! The kitchen was so well equipped, making my usual self catering essentials box almost redundant! If I might mention a very tiny thing it was that I couldn’t find a plug for the kitchen sink (probably my stupidity) and so I did use the foot wash basin for dishes

Waves End is ideal accommodation for a couple, very comfortable, well furnished and equipped in the quiet setting of Port Mellon.

Great location,lovely cosy cottage for 2,could have done with some more paper to start log burner,A little welcome treat would have been nice EG pint of milk or some scones but overall a very pleasant stay very comfy bed,one other small suggestion would be some taller glasses for cold drinks.

Would be very happy to come back.

Property was well furnished and nicely decorated, with clear attention to detail which made our stay wonderful.

Despite it being small and compact, there was everything we needed and more within. Managed to see the sunrise from the comfort of the cozy window seat which made our holiday.

Beautiful cottage abd in a lovely location.

Wonderful surprise waiting for us in the fridge. It was really needed after a long journey. The only suggestion we have to offer is possibly a grab rail/ handle in the bathroom to help us golden oldies to get in and out of the bath safely. Otherwise a perfect stay.

A well-appointed flat in a great location right next to the sea; good pub very close and a comfortable walk into Mevagissey; we would be happy to return.

Stunning location and great views, lovely cottage, fully equipped and beautifully presented, including a log burner, very peaceful and relaxing, super comfy king size bed , great sleeps.

Local pub Rising Sun only 50 yards away, very friendly locals and staff, great ales, the best fish and chips we had for a very long time. Would definitely recommend and be happy to return. Thank you Eva and Glen

No need to drive anywhere during short stay, walked both directions. Food at local pub on our last eve really good! We will definitely re book thank you!

Such a beautiful place to stay and re charge your batteries.

The window seat was the perfect place to sit read watch the waves and the world go by. All the locals that we met were lovely and the pub is a great place to visit very welcoming and a great quiz night on a Tuesday evening. We didnt want to leave but I'm sure we will return.

Waves End cottage is a delightful studio apartment on ground floor level.

It's situated about 15 metres from the sea with a lovely window seat looking out to the waves. It is well equipped for two people. The kitchen has most facilities, with a washing machine but no dishwasher.There are plenty of cups, glasses, plates and cutlery. There was generally enough hot water but on the final two days the automatic water heater did not provide the usual temperature. The heating was brilliant. Too warm on occasions, and we'd been advised not to fiddle with the timers which are controlled 'remotely'. The area is beautiful with lots of lovely local walks. The village was very friendly and we got a warm welcome in the Rising Sun. October can be a stormy month. We arrived in a huge storm with sea waves coming up to the house! Very exciting. Then 6 perfect autumn days. The owner was concerned enough to telephone and kept in touch during the week. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

Beautiful little cottage, set in an ideal location with stunning views.

Could not fault anything as it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our 3 day break. We came home yesterday and within a couple of hours booked for a longer stay next year. A little gem of a place.

A fantastic cottage where the location could not be better.

Everything that you need is provided. It is well presented and in excellent condition and bright and airy, a very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. The only points with mentioning is that whilst there is parking at the property the access is very narrow and so only a small car will fit (our mini fitted with only 5mm each side of the walls). The shower is also a little weak and the water was never hot enough. This in no way spoinlt what was a fantastic stay

Great cottage in a fabulous location on the beach at Portmellon.

Beautifully furnished and equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Bed is really comfortable!

Home now from a very relaxing and enjoyable week at Wavesend, indeed it would be very hard not to relax there.

The accommodation is just as shown in the photographs. The beach is a very short walk across the road away and the outside relaxing space is to the front of the property with beautiful sea views. A mere 300yards away is a welcoming pub. Lovely local walks and opportunity to spot seals and many places of interest in short travelling distance. It is a lovely place to relax and do very little, which we did, however there are water sport opportunities with hire at the beach shack. There are many places of interest to visit in easy travelling distance and Mevagissey a steady but steep walk up and down hill or a short drive away. Lovely location and comfortable welcoming furnishing when it’s time to head indoors.

This property is in an idyllic location.

It is in easy reach of many beautiful and interesting places. It’s very quiet and relaxing and has an old world charm. The property was very comfortable and well equipped .We found lots of beautiful walk. Some more challenging than others. We stayed a week but left wanting to stay longer.

Peaceful Portmellon has great walks and sea views and Mevagissey is only a short walk where there are a good selection of pubs and shops. Would recommend the cottage and will definitely be returning.

It was spotlessly clean and everything provided for comfort. The views of the sea from the patio stunning. We so enjoyed our stay at Waves End and were very sad to leave.

We had a wonderful honeymoon at Waves End.

Stylish and beautifully decorated with quality fittings and individual art throughout, which we found was the work of the owner Eva. A super comfy bed and premium bedding and towels gave the touch of luxury that we loved. It was lovely to find an art box and a note from the owner encouraging guests to try their hand at sketching, painting etc. Portmellon is a lovely quiet location with a real community feel and Waves End is at the centre of this. We particularly liked paying a visit to The Shack which sold essentials and also had a seating area to enjoy a pint.of Rattler, overlooking the bay. We also the cream tea gift that was left for us too.

It was a lovely place to stay and a thoroughly enjoyable time spent.

The hot water was a little troublesome but we didn't really need it.

A beautiful view of the very nearby sea and cove can be enjoyed through the living room window what ever the weather. A very relaxing few days !

Fantastic little place.

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Had everything you needed for a perfect getaway for two. Parking was easy as was loading and unloading. Nice king size bed which was super-comfortable. Lots of space to put your things away in the kitchen and bedroom. We used the wood burner each evening which was simple, fun and very cosy. There aren’t many shops around to buy supplies - but we bought things from a supermarket only a few miles away in St Austell. Can’t recommend this place highly enough! We are planning our next trip back..

The cottage was as described.

We could not find any instructions for the use of the oven although most other devices handbooks were available. The appartment above was quite loud( well it sounded like the occupants were walking on floorboards above( there has obviously been no sound proofing. Just to clarify this was just a single person we believe walking to and fro in the apartment above!

Superb location right beside the sea with a perfect cosy window seat to read or just enjoy the view the splashing waves (when there's an easterly wind!

) and watch seals and sea birds. In the evenings we hunkered down with blankets and popped on the wood burner. You do need to bring your own logs/kindling. The property is very comfortable, well equipped and stylishly decorated reflecting it's coastal location. Ideal for swimming and there are plenty of walks and villages to explore right from your front door. There's even an beautiful little art box for you to create some watercolours to remember your stay. Mevagissy is only a short walk away, is still a working harbour; so lots going on, and has some lovely pubs and cafés/restaurants. The owners provided a well thought through welcome pack prior to our arrival including parking information etc which was very helpful.

Amazing place (property & scenery) just as the name says the waves literally touched the property just like living in the beach hut but a fancy one.

It was like having the sea,beach & waves just to yourself just outside the window few steps from the door. Best place we have ever stayed on all of our holidays.

Finally got to visit Gorran Haven, beautiful little village, had a reasonably priced lunch at "cakes & bread". The community bus, just as efficient service as before and was able to use our bus pass! Thank you for your scrumptious cream tea and the wonderful hospitality.

What a privilege to spend St Sylvester here & get the chance to check 2026's 1st day with the energy of the waves, rainbow, seals nesting in the bay on the way to chapel point, & cosy time with cream tea.

It has been so relaxing to sit and watch the sea. Lovely walk into Mevagissey with beautiful views. The bed has to be the most comfy I have ever slept in.

We were absolutely delighted with our week at Waves End.

Such a cosy cottage, so much thought and care has clearly gone into every detail. We loved using the log burner in the evenings, and were lucky enough to have some April sunshine too, so we could sit out on the front terrace. Thank you for the thoughtful extras in the bathroom like the grab rail and step, these made a real difference for me with my walking difficulties. And there was always plenty of hot water for a lovely soak in the bath! The bed was incredibly comfortable, with a deep mattress that gave us such peaceful nights. Seeing seals in the bay was a real highlight, and I discovered the art box and had a little go with the watercolours. Such a special touch. We still can’t get over how close we are to the sea—it’s just wonderful. Thank you again, we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

This is our second visit to Waves End and it really does feel like coming home.

I love sitting and watching the sea from the window seat. We enjoyed walking to Pentewan one day, and did a six hour walk via Caerhays and Gorran another day, which was fab .The cottage is as perfect for us, and I’m especially enjoying the improved hot water pressure, as I’m a real bath girl, it makes all the difference!

Waves end is a sweet little cottage. We have enjoyed exploring Cornwall. The lost gardens of Heligan a must see! The Fountain Inn is a really nice pub, very welcoming staff and good food too also Sharks fin for good food and nice staff. The beach at Caerhays estate is worth going too. Thank you

Absolutely loved our stay from the moment we got here.

The views of the sea are incredible with so many beautiful walks from the front door, would recommend chapel point walk, and the coastal into Mevagissey. Dinner at Sharkfin restaurant over looking the harbour is a must. Hosts were really informative, the flat provides everything you might need and would happily come back in a heartbeat! Thanks for everything, the perfect valentines weekend.
