It was our second visit, and it was as good this time as it was the first time, everything you could possibly need to make your stay as comfortable as at home was provided by Sue and Laurence, (such nice people) we were worried that the top floor would be hot in this heatwave, actually it was the opposite, the height meant we had a constant cool breeze, made it perfect, will definitely book again

What a wonderful place to stay, stunning views over the sea and coast, everything you need catered for in this beautiful appartment.

The hosts are very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Only 5 min walk from.beach and centre its a perfect place to explore, coastal walks on your doorstep.

Absolutely perfect!

That view! Every creature comfort taken care of, even found a hot water bottle when someone needed it. Unique, two double bedrooms both en suite, apartment. Cosy, clean and comfortable, home from home, with turret room!

Spiral Cottage is so comfortable and well equipped that we highly recommend it.

A useful bus service within easy walking distance makes visits to St Agnes, Crantock, Truro, and Newquay easy without having to use a car. There are many coastal walks and the sandy beaches are beautiful. The Spiral staircase might be difficult for anyone with mobility issues

This was our 6th visit. Great hosts and a short walk from the stunning Perranporth beach!

Lovely apartment with great views, well equiped, great hosts.

Easy to get down to the village centre and of course the fantastic beach. As stated in the description, access via two flights of external spiral staircase can be a challenge when its blowing a gale and raining at night! As the apartment is in the roof there are a lot of low areas which can be awkward if you're tall. Only minus points were the lack of hot water in the kitchen due to a faulty tap and the mould growth in the bedroom on the window. On the plus side, we loved the cakes, the location and the views.

I use Sykes Cottages a lot, and I don't usually bother with feed back when I get what I expect, but the Spiral View is exceptional.

Wonderful accommodation, and really, really, nice hosts.

One negative you have too leave.

This was our second visit to Spiral View having initially stumbled upon it last summer.

Our views have not changed and we love it so much that we have already booked to return next year. Whilst it is an apartment, you feel like you’re in a cosy yet fresh and spacious cottage. There are views from every window. It is incredibly well equipped, immaculately presented and every small detail has been considered by Sue and Lawrence. It is perfectly located for the beach and the town with just a short walk to both. It is also easy access to many tourist attractions by bus or car. Sue has a ready made basket of tourist information and a handy map of the area for inspiration. One of the many reasons we fell in love with spiral view last year was how welcoming the hosts were. They were away on their own holiday this year but it is testament to how much Sue cares about her guests holiday experience that she still went above and beyond in her absence. Aside from the fact that the house has everything you could wish for one of the biggest plus points for us is the outside area for boards, wetsuits etc with a hose to ensure no sand comes inside and a washing line to hang the wetsuits. In summary we would highly recommend this property to anyone. We are a family of 3 with an 11 year old and there is nothing I could suggest to improve it. We are already looking forward to returning next year.

We have stayed at spiral view twice now and it is such a lovely place, the hosts are amazing too.

Would recommend to anyone. So many things available, its home from home. The view is fab too!

Great property, photos don’t do it justice.

Stairs are as viewed so not suitability for visitors with mobility issues. Nicely decorated with lots of twinkling lights. Central to lots of places of interest. Property owner very communicative but not intrusive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at spiral view.

The property was so cosy with great attention to detail. Everything you could need was provided with a great folder of information about the property and the area including restaurants, walks, beaches etc. we would recommend Spiral View to anyone looking for an escape to this part of Cornwall.

The Spiral View is an extraordinary place: the lovely decorated apartment, the stunning views, the short distance to the beach and the coastel path and last not least the hospitality of the owners.

Sykes however are not in our view. Impossible to actually talk to someone even when you want to discuss extending our stay so money lost for our hosts and Sykes

An absolutely amazing apartment.

Everything you could possibly need. Fantastic views , exceptionally clean and comfortable. The host (Sue) goes the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. I was slightly daunted about the spiral staircase being elderly (73) but it wasn't a problem , it's very sturdy and not at all slippery. Excellent situation for town, 5 minute walk. Buses are good for exploring the area. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Returned to spiral view after a 2 year break it was the same lovely holiday home and sue and Laurence the owners were still as lovely and perfect hosts would recommend to everyone perfect place to stay in perranporth

Spiral View was something very special to us.

From the moment we arrived we didn’t feel like we were on holiday we felt like we were home from home with the added bonus of a beach. We were greeted with such a warm welcome and nothing was to much trouble for Sue and Laurence. The house itself is beautiful, every small detail has been considered. Not only are the rooms homely but they have thought of everything - you can bake, there is a games cupboard, books, dvds and of most use to us a hose outside to wash off the wetsuits and boards before coming in. It is beautifully decorated by Laurence’s magnificent art work and the view when relaxing in the living room or the dining room of the beach are beautiful. It’s a short walk down into the town where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. It’s also only 30-60 min away from many popular tourist attractions. This was our first visit but we loved it so much that by day 3 we booked to return next summer. It really is a hidden gem. You could not get more perfect hosts than Sue and Laurence. We can’t wait return next summer. Thank you for a truly lovely holiday.

Spiral View is a well presented 2 bedroom flat in an excellent location.

The property was clean and tidy and furnished to a high standard. Sue and Laurence were very welcoming. Highly recommend.

A beautiful and well presented apartment the attention to detail was great and the little notes very helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the apartment close to the main town and beach but nice and quiet in the evening.

This is just the loveliest space ever, and we stay in Perranporth most years.

Don't think this could be beaten - loads of room in the ensuites, well equipped kitchen, and the turret eating space is the jewel in the crown. And so pretty. (also outdoor space to dry wetsuits, if needed). EV charging. It's a doddle. Droskyn car park is one minute walk away, free to park 6pm-11pm, so we charged there most evenings. Wheal car park is 5 minute walk, and you can park for free there overnight and charge. Also recommend Truro park & ride - you can charge at either car park.

Owner very welcoming.

We really enjoyed our visit to Perranporth. The views of the sea are tremendous. Shops and Restaurants are only a 5 minute walk away and there are lots to choose from. Would be happy to go back.

Spiral View is the most beautiful apartment!

The hosts treated us like no other hosts had ever done before - so attentive, interested in us, helpful and caring. The views of the apartment are spectacular and the apartment provides everything you need for a homely stay. The hosts have thought of so many little details to make your holiday perfect. We didn't have great weather for our stay but the apartment was such a treat to stay in that it didn't matter too much.

We had a fantastic holiday, the apartment was lovely, well equipped and comfortable, as well as charming and had wonderful views.

We would sit in the lounge in the evening watching the sunset and enjoying a cool breeze, absolute heaven! The owners couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, we were a party of three and all loved the apartment, we would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

All beautifully decorated and clean, with fabulous views over the beach and village. The shops, eateries and coastal paths are all within a 5 or 10 minute walk. The cream tea and milk in the fridge on arrival was much appreciated and was a lovely touch. Sue and Laurence who own the apartment and who live downstairs are very warm and friendly and can’t do enough for you. Lulu their cute dog will also give you a friendly welcome too. Spiral View is an amazing apartment with the most stunning of views.

Beautifully furnished and with little details you wouldn’t expect like the lamps and ornaments in each room. It was also supremely well equipped so much more than we have ever experienced before. It’s a credit to Sue and Laurence who are the most amazingly friendly and warm people. Nothing was too much trouble. Sue even ordered us a “salmon pink sunset” and duly delivered!!! Fantastic apartment!

Decor and facilities 5star. Very homely feel and high standard of cleanliness with lovely touches especially the lights. The turret dining area is lovely with a great view over Perranporth town and the beach. Everything catered for a beach holiday available from windbreak and hammer, picnic blanket and buckets and spades to umbrella and loads of games if it rains! The hosts Sue and Laurence are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Definitely worth our 6 hour drive and will most definitely be back for a return visit!

Absolutely beautiful property, central, everything you could possibly need.

The owners are so friendly and welcoming you couldn’t ask for more. But it is called Spiral View for a reason, creaky knees not catered for! But the view is well worth it, we had a great time and we’d all love to go back.

We had a very nice stay in July, flat was well equipped and comfortable with brill views out to the beach which was 5 mins walk away.

The owners who live downstairs are relaxed and friendly. Town, beach and good walks easily accessible so no particular need to use the car, which was much appreciated.

We could not fault the accommodation one bit The whole place was spotlessly clean with everything you could wish for covered Including a small vase of flowers on the table & a cream tea left in the fridge for us which was greatly appreciated It was the little touches like that which made the place even more special The views from every window are just amazing The hosts were friendly & informative and on hand if needed We would definitely recommend staying here & would not hesitate to book again ourselves Thank you for a wonderful week

Spiral View is such a magical place.

As soon as we stepped inside, we could feel ourselves relax. Spiral View is spotless and there is everything you could possibly need inside for a comfortable and relaxing stay. There is parking at the property for 1 car, which is really handy too. The views are stunning and it’s so lovely to have the door open and listen to the sounds of the sea. There are lots of lovely places to eat and have a drink plus being literally a 2 minute walk from the beach us an extra bonus! We would 100% recommend Spiral View.

We got a lovely email from Sue before we arrived which gave us exact details of how to find the accommodation and where to park which was very helpful. We went with friends (two couples) and the two ensuite rooms were perfect for us.... and we felt 'at home' from the moment we arrived. The apartment is beautifully decorated and so comfortable with the owner's gorgeous paintings decorating the walls .. so many little extra touches made it feel really special. We had two lovely weeks and were sad to leave ...... and hope it's not too long before we return. Thank you Sue & Lawrence for some wonderful memories.

We love Spiral View so much that we returned for a second time!

The apartment is immaculate, beautifully decorated and furnished. An added bonus is all the art that is around the apartment which has all been painted by the owner. They were so welcoming and let us look round their art studio. The apartment has good views of Perranporth beach and is close to the beach, high street, park and duck pond. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

This is a little gem!

Fantastic location, close to the beach and town. The flat is gorgeous, with everything catered for. We were able to park at the property too which made a massive difference. The family were really welcoming and lovely. Sue left us tea, coffee.milk and a cream tea! We had a brilliant week and much needed rest. Would definitely recommend spiral view and will be returning for another holiday.

Spiral view is a fantastic place to stay.

It is immaculately furnished yet very homely and comfortable. The views of the beach are fantastic as is the beach itself. Sue and Laurence, the proprietors, are so welcoming and friendly but not to the point of being intrusive. I would definitely recommend this property and they even arranged a week of wonderful weather in April.

Our stay at Spirals was exceptional!

We had the twin beds made up as a super kingsize and it was incredibly comfortable. The location is perfect and we loved being able to just walk out our door and down to the beach each day. Bonus - the owners have a gorgeous, friendly dog!

The best apartment we have visited!

Attention to detail immaculate! Would very happily visit again - and probably will!!!!

We loved our week at Spiral View, it’s just as lovely as the pictures with beautiful finishing touches including Laurence’s art.

All the rooms are full of natural light and we really enjoyed the birds-eye views over Perranporth & the beach. The apartment has been thoughtfully planned with places to store your bits & pieces and space to hang up coats & store outdoor shoes. It has just about everything you could need, including extra touches like a wind break & mat for the beach & body boards for the surf! Sue made us feel very welcome, from her email with directions a couple of days before our holiday, to the scones & cream that were waiting for us, & was always available if needed, without intruding on our time & space.

This was a fantastic holiday apartment being in a great location near to the beach and town.

We had everything we needed , with the accommodation providing great views and beautiful furnishings. We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to come back very soon.

This is a perfect place.

It has everything you could need and more. Amazing views, friendly owners, close to the beach and coastal paths should you wish to go for a walk. You don’t have to use your car if you didn’t want as everything you need is a 5 mins walk away I would definitely recommend here it had to be one of the best places I’ve stayed

A really nice feel to this beautifully decorated apartment.

Everything you could ever need was provided.Great view from dining 'Turret Room' and sitting area. We liked the fact that amenities like supermarket,beach,restaurants,bars and food outlets were within walking distance.You didn't need to use the car.Saying that there are lots of lovely beaches,villages and country pubs to explore nearby. The short hill to the apartment may not suit people with poor mobility.Ditto the spiral staircase access to the second floor but we loved it.Lovely local walks on the coast paths and the beach ( when the tides out).The small garden areas,boating pool and playing areas were very well tended and a credit to Perranporth.

Spiral View is an excellent well, equipped apartment, whose owners are very friendly and welcoming.

There are numerous small touches around the property that make the an excellent initial impression. The owners left a welcome pack with milk and scones with Cornish cream and jam which were well receive following a long journey. The views from all the windows across Perranporth are simply stunning and well worth the visit on their own. This property will be highly recommended to family and friends and is one of the most well presented properties we have rented over the years. We hope that to be back soon. Thanks to Sue & Laurence Dingley for their hospitality, they could not have done any more to make our stay go more smoothly.

Apartment was just lovely the views just great, lovely area great beach The spiral stairs would be quite a challenge for some people but not us

Perranporth has the most beautiful clean beach which was a real treat to walk up and down every day.

The property was immaculate, with every home comfort accommodated for, it overlooks the beach and the small town; in fact the views were just stunning. So very peaceful and quiet it was a true escape from all the hustle and bustle of our every day lives. We parked the car, and never drove again for the entire week! The owner was extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Can't recommend this place enough.

Spiral View is a brilliant place, just like Perranporth and the surrounding attractions.

Such as ST Michaels Mount, Eden Project,Lost Gardens of Helagon plus lots more. Our hosts Sue and Lawrence Dingley were very nice indeed. We are looking forward in returning again.

We had high expectations of Spiral View - the information on your website, including photos etc led us to believe that this was a top place to stay.

It was. Everything from first booking, information from our host, arrival and key collection - all went well. The accommodation is lovely with excellent decor, a well equipped kitchen with plenty of tools as well as crockery and cutlery, and great views from several windows. We met our host only once, although we had exchanged text messages about arrival details beforehand, and found Sue friendly, responsive and very helpful. We have no hesitation recommending Spiral View, and Perranporth, even in Winter.

Well located, very well equipped and comfortable, with wonderful views. The owner is a lovely person, there if you need her but otherwise in the background with a friendly wave. Nothing is too much trouble.

First class accommodation and the host was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended. We were a bit aprehensive about the spiral staircase but it was really nothing to worry about. We would definitely stay ther again.

there is little you can say about the my holiday at spiral view other than it ticked all the boxes , a comfortable well kept place run by two smashing people who cant help you enough .
