Royston “This was our 9th stay at this lovely cottage, we have booked it every year since 2019 coming twice on a couple of years, even had our honeymoon here.”
It is comfortable, well equipped and in a beautiful setting, it provided us with an excellent base to travel all over Cornwall. There are some good eating places close by which we have used. The Punchbowl and Ladle, The Pandora and The Heron at Malpas. The enclosed back garden was good for our 2 dogs who knew where we were going when we got close on our journey down. We would certainly keep using this cottage if it was available

Jillian “Lovely place to stay.”
We really enjoyed our break in spite of the bad weather. The bungalow was so comfortable. The views were great from inside. The shrubs need pruning to be able to sit outside and enjoy the view. A sitting area in the back garden would be good as this area is dog secure.
- Jillian, September 2024Sylvia “Everything at Creek View is perfect.”
The bungalow is so comfortable, All you needed. Garden lovely, my dogs loved it, and safe, so no worries The owners have thought of everything to make your stay relaxing. Tea coffee biscuits milk welcome for your arrival Absolutely loved our time there, Would recommend and hopefully return
- Sylvia, August 2024Shirley “This was our 2nd stat at Creek View.”
The property is perfect. It has everything to make your holiday comfortable and enjoyable. The garden is beautiful with a stunning view of the river and countryside beyond. Situated in a great location with many lovely walks also within easy reach of some spectacular Cornish coastline, beaches, places to visit and other amenities. We already have plans to return in 2026.
- Shirley, June 2024Karen “Wonderful stay at Creek view, beautifully situated with stunning views.”
The welcome pack was really appreciated. Sitting out on the patio, overlooking the Creek was a real treat, despite the weather! Plenty to see and do, highly recommend Lost Gardens of Helligan. We would recommend at least 2 visits which is easily done by upgrading your ticket to a weekly pass at no extra cost.
- Karen, May 2024Janet “A beautifully sited, spacious bungalow with a wonderful view, lovely garden and comfortable beds.”
It was spotlessly clean and well equipped (though a spare loo roll would have been welcome!). Our only (minor) criticism is that the arm chairs were not particularly comfortable but that is a very personal thing. We would happily return; such a wonderful base from which to explore a beautiful part of the world.
- Janet, May 2024Royston “We have had another super holiday in this lovely property which we have been to several times.”
We love the location with its lovely views over the creek, although the weather didn't allow us to chill on the patio this time. The house, as normal, was immaculate, clean and comfortable with everything needed for our stay. We are looking forward to our next holiday here in September
- Royston, March 2024Martin “The property is in a lovely location and has amazing views across the water.”
It is well equipped and has a beautiful garden where you can sit and enjoy the views in the peaceful surroundings. The property was spotlessly clean and the furnishings very comfortable. We would recommend and visit again.
- Martin, February 2024Royston “We have had another great holiday in this lovely cottage, the location is ideal for travelling around Cornwall visiting different places and is so quiet with lovely views over the creek.”
The cottage is very well equipped and very clean. We have had several memorable holidays here and look forward to returning next year.
- Royston, September 2023David “A quiet gem in a beautiful location.”
Excellently equipped with everything we needed. One of the best Sykes properties we have stayed in,highly recommended.
- David, July 2023Lucie “Our first stay at Creek View and we hope to come back next year with kayak and bikes.”
We loved almost everything about it. The view over the Creek is beautiful any time of day, the peace and tranquility, comfortable beds, lovely quality cotton bedding, white fluffy towels and lots of hot water. We loved to eat our breakfast at the table looking out over the Creek with the changing tide and big sky. A massive bonus were the blackout blinds and curtains in the bedrooms, these really helped keep the rooms cool during the day and the early sunrise from waking us too early. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need with a welcome pack on arrival, though not to our dietary requirements - very welcome and appreciated at the end of a long drive. I loved how clean the cottage is/was, a real bonus as usually I have to wash a few things and clean before use. We were very sad to leave, a week is too short to explore the beautiful Fal River estuary and river with its little coves and wooded sides...so much to see, do and offer. Creek View was a perfect base, close to Truro for supplies and not far from many stunning beaches and places of interest. If any improvements were to be suggested it would be to have a big squashy sofa or two as the current one and armchairs are a little uncomfortable for any lounging after a shower and long day out. We thought the pond might have a leak in the liner as we filled it daily, sometimes morning and evening but still noticed the water level drop. I can see why people return again and again to Creek View as it has so much to offer. Thank you for a lovely first stay.
- Lucie, June 2023Brian “Lovely property very peaceful”
- Brian, June 2023Brian “We found the property in Excelllent condition as usual [we have stayed many times with you before] the only small problem was the front door key was missing, not in the box.”
I reported this to housekeeping as soon as possible as did not want to be blamed for loosing it and charged the fine. Now a lost key has two reasons as you will well know, if it was taken away fine but if it was dropped near by the finder could walk in any time of the day or "night" My wife and I are both over 90 and that is why we have always booked with you before, If we had been informed sooner it would have helped. but I had to to find out myself from housekeeping by the "Thursday" that the key had been taken away by the previous occupant.
- Brian, April 2023Royston “We have had another lovely holiday in this great cottage.”
It is warm, clean, comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It is in a lovely area with easy access to the whole of Cornwall, we visited many great places. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and we are looking forward to coming back here in September and have already booked for March 2024. Best wishes Royston and Lynne
- Royston, March 2023Donna “Beautiful bungalow and a wonderful stay.”
Pristine throughout and thoughtfully presented. Creek View is well equipped with high quality amenities which made for a very comfortable break. View was stunning and it’s an excellent base from which to explore this wonderful area. Highly recommended.
- Donna, March 2023Helen “Another wonderful stay at our favourite cottage in a wonderful part of Cornwall.”
- Helen, December 2022Tracey “We really enjoyed our stay at Creek View.”
We appreciated the cleanliness, how well equipped the property was, an enclosed back garden for the dogs and a very kind and thoughtful arrival package. We definitely would recommend and would love to return. Thank you.
- Tracey, November 2022Kathryn “Lovely, comfortable cottage in quiet location.”

- Lesley, July 2022Glenda “The bungalow was amazing, sadly waiting for a hip operation I found the garden and walks to the creek really difficult, if I had have known about the steps and hill I might not have booked.”
- Glenda, June 2022Shirley “We had a fabulous week in this lovely property.”
It is a lovely clean comfortable home with a beautiful garden, it is well equipped, the beds are very comfortable, it has spectacular views and if you like peace and quiet with excellent walks from the property then this is for you. There are so many places to visit and all amenities within easy driving distance. We will certainly be back again. We couldnt find a single fault it is a wonderful place to stay.
- Shirley, June 2022Lee “Creek view cottage is located in small village overlooking the estuary, the walk with the dog in the morning was a pleasure great views cottage itself was fully equipped with everything you need would definitely stay again, hopefully be booking again soon .”

We would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to others.
- John, April 2022Jackie “What a stunning property!”
We had the best week in this gorgeous, immaculate and peaceful bungalow it was very hard to leave. Beautiful views and a place where one could truly rest and relax. Beautiful surrounding area too. A special thanks to the property managers as well, very lovely and helpful. We look forward to returning later this year. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.
- Jackie, April 2022Royston “We have just spent 2 fabulous weeks in this lovely cottage which has amazing views over the Creek.”
It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. This was our honeymoon which we should have in March 2020 but we had lockdown and then again March 2021 we had lockdown so we have at last managed it. Fabulous holiday, the weather, the cottage everything was amazing. We look forward to going back there again
- Royston, March 2022Royston “We have had an amazing week in Creek View.”
The property is very clean, well equipped with lovely views over the Creek. This was our first week and we are now looking forward to our 2nd week here. Weather has been good. This is our honeymoon which was cancelled in 2020 with the 1st lockdown and then again in 2021 with 2nd lockdown, 3rd time lucky!
- Royston, March 2022Thank you for your lovely feedback. We hope your second week is as good as the first! We're so pleased you finally made it here after all the lockdowns. Property Owner
Peter “We arrived to the sound of a constantly dripping kitchen tap and discovered from the property maintenance book, that this was reported early in September plus there were number of other ongoing issues recorded by visitors over the past 4 months.”
An additional annoyance was that we had not been left any hand soap for kitchen or either of the two bathrooms plus a bathroom caddy that had become so rusty, mould had started to appear, disgusting. We immediately phoned the property manager who asked that we wait until Monday, to which we reluctantly agreed. After persistence on our behalf the tap was replaced on Wednesday and hand soap provided the same day. We had also reported the microwave making a hissing noise when not in use, apparently this tested electrically safe and we were told the owners were not prepared to replace it. This and a number of other issues remain unresolved for future guests. However despite the above we loved the property and regret the issues were not addressed more urgently.
- Peter, October 2021We were very sorry to learn that Creek View recently failed to meet expectations, a most unwelcome blemish on our long-held record of meeting or exceeding expectations. We have of course taken all steps necessary to remedy the problems noted. We would like to add that as one more part of our on-going maintenance and improvement, we are now in the process of widening the old 1960s driveway to make it easier for today's larger vehicles to negotiate. Our aim with all of this is to ensure that our guests enjoy a thoroughly relaxed stay, without worries or difficulties of any sort. Property Owner
Angela “Great location, very clean and comfortable accommodation would recommend.”
Wonderful views and gardens too.
- Angela, August 2021Samantha “Great location and property.”
My only comment would be that the lounge sofa and chairs are not that comfortable and the kitchen could be a little better equipped but other than that a great place to stay. Would recommend.
- Samantha, June 2021Kay “Beautiful. Gorgeous location.”
Everything you could hope for.
- Kay, May 2021Carol “Creek View is the holiday home I have returned to many times.”
I recommend it to visitors who like to be near the city of Truro but also the Beaches, and so many other attractions.
- Carol, May 2021Lisa “This is the 2nd time that we have stayed here & the only thing that lets it down is the garden.”
The gardener does attend but does not cut back the plants right outside the back door or where the steps & walking area is. It means you get wet if its damp or attacked by spiders! Its is always clean & tidy & has everything that you need. An outside light at the back would be good.
- Lisa, September 2020Many thanks for your feedback. Your comments in relation to the garden have been fully taken on board and fed back to the owners of the property. We hope that you enjoyed your stay, and we hope to welcome you again at Creek View! Property Owner
Victoria “Creek view was beautiful, safe secure back garden perfect for our dog, had all the amenities and more needed for a totally relaxed holiday.”
Simon very helpful and informative. Incredibly clean and very comfortable. Front garden beautiful a bit over grown but was lovely to sit out in the evening watching the stars. Perfect location for exploring other areas of Cornwall.
- Victoria, August 2020Mary “A great location and we loved the view of the creek from the living room and the terrace.”
There was a lot of building work on surrounding properties during our stay but it was very peaceful in the evenings.
- Mary, July 2020Royston “We booked 2 weeks at Creek View, we had stayed here the year before and loved it, such a lovely cottage and location.”
It has everything you could want. We got married 6th March 2020 and the 2 weeks booked from 21st March 2020 was to be our honeymoon. We arrived on the Saturday and unpacked then spent a lovely sunny Sunday on the patio chilling as the weather was gorgeous. Managed to walk the dogs on a beach Monday but unfortunately, Monday evening the lock-down was called so we had to pack up everything that night and we left early Tuesday morning to come home. Expensive 3 days!! Luckily we managed to defer the 2nd week and booked another week with it so we could have 2 weeks in March 2021 hoping we will get away near our first anniversary. Fingers crossed
- Royston, March 2020Helen “We loved our stay at Creek View and have already booked for next year!”
Feock is a beautiful, unspoilt area of Cornwall and the views across the creek were idyllic. Lots of lovely walks too with plenty of well-marked public footpaths, which our dog loved. We found the property managers, Hayley and Mark, very helpful, friendly and communicative. The bungalow is very accessible and extremely comfortable throughout. We particularly appreciated the log burner on the two windy/rainy days we had.
- Helen, October 2019Mary “We were extremely pleased with the property and the views of the river were delightful, as were the local walks.”
The location is ideal for touring the area with lots to see and do.
- Mary, September 2019June “Beautiful view from bungalow.”
- June, June 2019Christine “We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Creek View.”
The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The situation, with the view over the creek was stunning and the local pubs served very good food. It was the ideal situation to explore all the creekside areas, which we had not explored fully before. We will return in the future. The dog safe garden was a bonus.
- Christine, April 2019Royston “The cottage exceeded our expectations, it was very well equipped, comfortable and clean.”
The location was lovely and the views were amazing. We did pick the right week with the weather, sunny every day☀️ and were able to sit and watch the sun go down on the patio with a drink, we had to keep reminding ourselves that it was March. There was plenty of places to eat, The Punchbowl and Ladle and The Pandora being just 2 of the places visited. We had been through 5 tough months due to bereavement and needed to recharge the batteries, we have certainly managed that. We have lots of good memories and loads of photos to look at. Thank you
- Royston, March 2019Carole “The cottage was perfect for our 5 night break, clean, warm and very comfy.”
The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, the cottage had two beautiful bathrooms, a comfy bed and amazing views across the creek. Would definitely return to this cottage
- Carole, February 2019Anne “Very quiet and peaceful.”
Could have spent most of the day just sitting at the table looking out on the view!

Why the owner loves Creek View...
"Creek View has been a family home and a much-loved holiday retreat for three generations.
When we arrive, that first view across the water is our cue to relax and forget the rush of normal life for a while.
It is time to rediscover favourite activities such as the trip along the miners' tramway - with a stop at the Old Quay Inn, of course!
We love to visit the many delightful gardens such as nearby Trelissick, subtropical Glendurgan and the romantic Lost Gardens of Heligan.
The more energetic members of our family enjoy golf at Killiow, watersports at nearby Loe Beach and cycling the Bissoe Trail to the north coast.
Being between Truro and Falmouth, we have the choice of two lively but very different centres, offering theatre, cinema, museums, art galleries and some excellent pubs and restaurants.
It all adds up to our perfect family holiday."
