I can honestly say this is the best cootage we have been and we will be back

“We had a lovely stay at Chapel Green.”

Would go back again. The children enjoyed the pool and garden so much they were reluctant to go out during the day. The garden directly outside the house was great for our old blind dog as it was big enough for her to explore and not wander too far away. The accommodation is spacious with two large double rooms on the lower floors with a shower room. There are a few steps on the lower floor. We found the double kitchen helpful when getting food ready as we had space. The weather was terrible while we were there but having the pool, games room and gym was enough for the children to enjoy and the conservatory was great for us adults to look out at the terrible weather and have a drink and chat. The hosts were lovely and helpful, around if you needed them. The location is great as a base to visit other places like Newquay, local beaches, Eden project and many other places.

“Wow what a lovely home, I can’t recommend here enough.”

We were welcomed by the lovely owners and they showed us all around the property and how to use everything, from the oven to the pool. Nothing was too much trouble. They even provided milk, eggs and wine. The children were in awe and spent hours in the pool and games room. They have asked to come again next week. Highly recommended and will 100% be coming back again

“We had a wonderful family celebration at Chapel Green holiday home from the moment we arrived to a lovely welcome to the time we sadly left.”

The house was warm, clean and had everything you need and loads more! The house is steeped in history and the rooms are all just lovely and all are huge. We enjoyed family meals in the dining room and enjoyed time in the pool, the jacuzzi and the games room with a three in one pool, air, hockey and table tennis table and darts. The boys spent a little time lifting weights, rowing and skiing in the gym too. Chapel Green is perfectly positioned to visit both sides of the Cornish peninsula so we went to the beautiful Port Isaac and along that coast and closer to Mevagissey, Polperro, Fowey, Charlestown and Pentewen. Can only say a huge thank you to our lovely hosts and we’d love to go back

There is absolutely nothing bad we can say about it. The owners are lovely and friendly. They are there if you need them but are in no way intrusive and let you enjoy the property. The property itself is huge. Its lovely and warm and everything you need is provided. The owners provide a generous welcome pack which is a lovely touch. The swimming pool is a good size and well maintained as is the hot tub. The game room is also a great facility. We didn’t use the gym but its also got what you need. The gardens are huge and great for children and dogs. We can’t thank the owners Dave and Julie enough for such a lovely stay and we hope to return some time in the not to distant future.

“What a fabulous week.”

We stayed for a family holiday, consisting of 5 adults, 3 teenagers & 2 small dogs. First of all what great hosts the owners are.. very helpful & always on hand if you need anything. The house is very spacious & covers everything you would ever need. “Our stay at Chapel Green was fabulous!”

The whole place is brilliant, from the incredibly spacious accommodation, great living room with terrace, fab conservatory, amazing gym and games room and not forgetting the incredible pool and hot tub. I went with my husband, two children, four friends and our small woofer, all adults and we all found so much to do! We never felt like we were on top of each other, if you wanted some quiet time you could easily find it and the garden and the outside countryside just brought more into the equation. Being a short drive from St Austell, Truro, Charlestown and Polperro was great and both Asda, Tesco & Co-op deliver to the house. The Polgooth Inn is within walking distance and does amazing Sunday lunches and evening meals. All in all a truly fantastic week was had despite the British inclement weather, we will definitely be back! 10/10!!

“Fantastic house, great pool and hot tub which was a godsend when it was raining.”

We were a family of 10 including 4 children under 7 but due to the size of the house we never felt cramped. The location was very peaceful with a 10 minute walk to the local pub which served good food and only 5 miles from a number of lovely beaches. The hosts were lovely, friendly and always there to help and advise. Overall we had no complaints and wished we could have stayed longer

The house was very big and comfortable for 10 people. We were met early and fortunately managed to get early access after our long journey , we were given a tour , everything explained and some great local knowledge to help us out. It easily catered for all our needs including when then weather was wet and windy! It has generous proportions which enabled the family to all spend time together and provided opportunities to play in the games room, swim, watch a film or simply curl up in a corner and read a book. It is situated in an area which has easy access to lovely walks, the Lost gardens of Heligan and the Eden project to name just a few. The property itself was very clean, well looked after and comfortable. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and were very generous leaving essential provisions and even Easter eggs for the children. We would love to return for another holiday and whole heartedly recommend Chapel Green as a great place to stay.

We have stayed in many holiday homes and this house was by far the best equipped with many little extras provided to ensure an excellent stay. The swimming pool and games room were excellent and immaculate. We did not use the gym, but again it was excellent. Overall, would very highly recommend and will definitely return.

So much space everyone could have their own quiet time when they wished. The younger members enjoyed the pool and the gym equipment whilst us older ones relaxed in the sun room or the spacious lounge. The owners were around but not intrusive as they continue to improve the surroundings. The local pub was excellent with friendly staff and good food for all tastes. An ideal location to relax and recharge.

“Very expensive for what it was.”

The adjacent properties looked so much nicer and more modern. The kitchen where we stayed needed uplifting. The cushions on all the seating had sagged. The rest of the families bedrooms were nice and airy as was the other double downstairs but far too low for my wife and myself to use, so we had the twin bed room which was not so pleasant to relax in. The small shower room, well let’s say we’ve been in better. The weather was great though.

Could not fault it. The indoor swimming pool was good for both adults and children. In a lovely part of Cornwall and the village pub was excellent.

The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need, even some dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc. The grounds are beautiful and the swimming pool was warm and clean. The owner loves next door and is lovely and friendly. Between us we had 5 children (ages 1-9) in our group who were well entertained with the garden toys and facilities. We had the best stay and is close to some lovely attractions in Cornwall.

“We stayed as a family of 5 and with our two border collies at the opening up of this lovely Accomodation after lockdown.”

We were impressed that the swimming pool was operational, that chocolates for my wife’s birthday and a bottle of bubbly with eggs, milk, sugar were left for us to use which was a nice and an unexpected surprise. There are plenty of facilities including an Arga which was always helping us feel warm. The weather in the area after 9pm was cold but warm inside with both the central heating and lovely fire place in the main living room keeping us warm. We played board games every evening after eating out all so enjoyable and watching Sky Sports. We only needed to use 3 of the 5 bedrooms. Good location, within easy reach of beaches, many great towns, villages and shops. The owners should feel proud of this property, the facilities and the quality of this wonderful place. “Christmas at Chpel Green!”

Our family of 10 including Chester the Dalmatian had the best Christmas ever, this beautiful home is extremely well looked after and caters for your every need. The house was very tastefully decorated for Christmas and we also had a nice welcome tray filled with goodies to enjoy during our stay- a very nice touch! Plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing but also great communal spaces for family time! The pool is first class and we used it every day! Julia and David are so friendly and obliging, nothing is too much trouble and although they are on site, your holiday is your own. I would highly recommend this lovely home for a holiday anytime of the year! We all loved it!

Chapel Green is an amazing property with fabulous facilities. Our 4 children loved loved loved the pool and spent time in it everyday. The living areas are comfortable and as you have the choice of two, those of you who want to watch tv of chill, can do away from the hustle downstairs. The owners are on site and so friendly and accommodating. You can see they take great pride in their home and have the most impressive plants and shrubs. We alternate with UK and abroad so will defiantly consider Chapel Green for 2020.

The village has a great pub. The Hosts Julie and Dave were so friendly. They must have spent a great deal of time doing the christmas decorations. The house is roomy with high ceilings giving great atmosphere. The lounge is on the first floor but the conservatory on the ground floor is a great place for reading and just looking out onto the garden.

We were greeted by the owners, shown around and made to feel extremely welcome and comfortable. The property itself is vast and the photographs really do not do its cosy yet spacious feel justice. Being in such a secluded and beautiful spot was such a treat and made it easier to relax, yet at the same time we were central to all the sights Cornwall has to offer. As soon as we arrived, we knew it would be tough to leave - even the dog was sorry to say goodbye, and we can't wait to book this exact property again for all these reasons and more.

The owners, who live on site, are absolutely lovely, very helpful but not intrusive and very laid back. The kitchen is extremely well equipped - more than enough of everything. The Aga was very popular. A convenient location for lots of lovely beaches and easy access to other parts of Cornwall. We had a great holiday.

Mevagissey 5 miles; St. Mawes 18 miles; Truro 14 miles.

With its history rooted firmly in tin mining, the village of Polgooth is now a quiet settlement on the outskirts of St Austell, frequented by visitors enjoying the area's outstanding countryside. Just 3 miles from the sea, the village is close to several lovely beaches, and the south-west coastal path also runs close by. The area has a host of visitor attractions, with the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Tall Ships Harbour at Charlestown all within a 15 minute drive. The quaint fishing harbour at Mevagissey, with its passenger ferry across the bay to Fowey, is just 5 miles away, and the beautiful Roseland Peninsula with the villages of St. Mawes and St. Just-in-Roseland lies just a little further.
