We were met by Julia who showed us round chapel green 2 how everything worked all the amenities.

. the tea coffee sugar milk was very much appreciated not very often the basics are provided the extra touch of processeco home made scones cream tea .. which were amazing by the way x was above and beyond and made us feel that there guests are truly thought about the cottage is beautifully set out .. home from home feel would definitely recommend and we hope to visit again soon. Julia and David are a lovely welcoming couple.

The gifts were lovely and I can’t think of anything they had forgot to put in the studio that we would have wanted or needed. Everything was clean and felt like home. Having the pool and hot tub to use whenever we wanted was nice.

Made very welcome by Mr &Mrs Everly. The location was ideal for visiting many of Cornwall,s town's and seaside resorts.

We stayed in no.

2; 1 of 3 cottages which slept 4 people. In our case, 2 adults and 2 children. The cottage was physically beautiful. A stone facade outside and simply decorated inside. ( non fussy ). The seating was comfortable and draped with throws. Sky tv was available. The kitchen area was easily accessible with an electric cooker, full size fridge/freezer, microwave and toaster. Most utensils were available. The bedrooms: one, a double room with a comfortable bed. Two: In our case was the children's room and the double bed had been separated. They both made the point that the beds were very comfortable. The room appeared slightly larger and was more airy with an extra window and a velux window. The bathroom was a wet room with a powerful shower, toilet and sink. Alternatively, could be used for visitors with disabilities since there are no stairs. The facilities included a fitness room with Crosstrainer, exercise bike and rowing machine. There was also a games room offering pool, table tennis, air hockey, illumiated darts board and table football. Next door was the Swimming pool and hot tub. Polgooth is ideally situated for several places of interest and beaches were very close. The owners were onsite but were unobtrusive. If you needed guidance or advice, they were nearly always closeby, available and friendly. The properties were a credit to their hardwork. The other guests were also very friendly and accommodating. Parking cars was straightforward in a designated space. Perhaps, an unusual observation about our children was that they were never bored.

Our holiday started disastrously with our car breaking down in the back lanes of Cornwall. Our hosts were so kind and concerned, helping us to sort out recovery services, a garage for repair, car hire and so on. They really did save our holiday and we are so grateful. The accommodation is so comfortable and fitted out with everything that you might need. Our hosts know the area so well including the pubs and restaurants. A bad start turned into a great holiday. We arrived early which was no problem.

Wonderful welcome with added treats of freahly baked scones. Accommodation was excellent, clean, well equipped with everything you need. We stayed for a ling weekend but could have stayed longer. The swimming pool, hot tub, games room was available 24/7 which was perfect. The setting is idyllic and a great base to travel around cornwall. We will re book with no hesitation. The welcome was lovely and the accommodation was spotless and comfortable.

Lots to keep the family entertained with the pool and games room, and in easy reach of lovely beaches, gardens and the South West Coastal Path. The owners were very welcoming to the dog, too!

We had a wonderful stay at Chapel Green Studio 2.

It was perfect for 2 adults, 2 young children and 2 very chilled Huskies. We had everything we needed at the studio and the surrounding views were stunning. It was all your home comforts in one. It’s not really a criticism because white noise on YouTube definitely helped - but we could hear movement from the above studio but only in the evenings. Just people walking around it didn’t disturb us too much but we were in bed early otherwise it wasn’t a huge issue. Overall a wonderful stay seeing Cornwall we had such a busy week and everyone made us feel welcome. Thank you again for having us.

The jacuzzi was a go to after long days out. A well equipped games room and even managed to get a couple of February BBQ's in on the one provided. Good location for exploring Cornwall and it's lovely beaches. Polgooth Inn easy walking distance and quality food. Recommend booking as it clearly has a good reputation

Our stay at Chapel Green was absolutely wonderful.

The place was spotless, beautifully set up, and clearly cared for with real attention to detail. The amenities were a highlight — the pool and hot tub made the stay feel extra special and added a real sense of relaxation. One of the loveliest touches was the unexpected welcome gifts: clotted cream, homemade scones, and jam. Such a thoughtful gesture, and they were delicious. Combined with the peaceful, beautiful surroundings, it all made for a truly memorable stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, charm, and a little luxury in a gorgeous setting.

Wow what a place.

From the moment we got there and were greeted by Julia to the minute we left and we're seen off by Julia, we enjoyed every single moment. The accommodation is fantastic, very comfortable, a great little welcome package with scones (freshly made) and milk eggs etc, the little things that make the difference. The facilities kept us very much entertained, pool table, air hockey darts etc combined with a swimming pool and hot tub (after a ten hour journey was very needed) was out of this world. Id recommended this to anybody wanting to stay in this area of the country. A fantastic stay and a fantastic place.

It was particularly important for us for the property to be accessible.

Our daughter could access all areas of the accommodation with her wheelchair and her walking frame. Furthermore, there was a shower chair in the wet room and the owner also offered us a bedside, which we did not need. Access to the property was essentially in a car. The inclines would not have been wheelchair or mobility scooter friendly, so any trips to the village needed to be by car, which was not a problem. The welcome pack of home made scones, clotted cream, jam, milk and eggs was a lovely touch. The games room provided entertainment away from screens during the rainy weather that is to be expected in Cornwall. We enjoyed using the hot tub, but found the swimming pool a little cool for the time of year. Overall, it was a most enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Amazing property, views nice across valley fields, apartment neat tidy with a small wecome parcel of goodies, apartment has all mod cons, met the owners who were lovely and have great knowledge of area, we used spa pool and swimming pool really relaxing place to chill.

I came to this lovely accommodation for my 25th birthday this year .

I have no bad words about it . Everything was clean and up to the standards. I would highly recommend this place to others of any age. The owners themselves are lovely and willing to help anyway possible. On arrival there was fresh milk cream and 4 lovely scones what went down a treat and a bottle of pop to finish it . I will definitely be returning to this accommodation again in the for future.

We have just got home from a most wonderful Family holiday as we booked all 3 cottages.

to accommodate the Family of 16, 4 generations Ranging from 81 years old to 7 months old. Plenty of space for the adults and children to play. The accommodation was spotless Well-maintained Garden for the children to roll about. Pool and hot tub were great for holiday fun as the children love to be in the pool. Which was nice and warm Somewhere to relax after a day out. Hosts, David & Julia were most welcoming and nice surprise of Scones Clotted cream & Jam (Cornish way of course) Milk, Eggs and Prosecco. We hope to return.

Julia greeted us on arrival and showed us how everything works . We were made to feel very welcome. Our dog Buddy was also welcomed and we wish to thank Julia and David for making our stay in beautiful surroundings very comfortable. Our daughter particularly enjoyed the pool.

This was our first time booking a cottage, and we were not disappointed, We were met on arrival and shown around the property.

There was a lovely welcome pack of scones, cream and jam, eggs, milk and a bottle of Prosecco. The property was immaculate, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Sky tv and WiFi on hand. This was a dog friendly property and the owners made us all feel extremely welcome, the grounds were a lovely bonus and Julia informed us of local dog walks in the area. The swimming pool and hot tub and games and fitness area rounded off the superb accommodation. A great location to travel to local beaches, and the local pub (recommended)and shop are a short walk away. David and Julia had thought of everything to make our stay a great one.

Facilities are excellent, ideal for all age groups. Location is great with a lovely local post office/shop and local pub (polgooth Inn), can recommend Sunday with live music and the food is good too. Would love to revisit some time.

This property is one of the most beautiful we have stayed in, in a stunning location with gorgeous gardens.

The studio is very well equipped and so comfortable, a home from home, with the added bonus of a swimming pool / hot tub and games room on site, 2 weeks was too short! 5* from all of us.

2nd time we have stayed here, lovely owners and the studio is very good with everything you could need for your holiday, great swimming pool and jacuzzi and also a very nice games room and small gym.

Our host Julia and David made us so welcome, thankyou. Our grandchildren loved the swimming pool and couldn't wait to get back each day to use it. It was the icing on the cake for them. Our studio was perfect, everything you needed was provided in the kitchen, the beds were very comfy and the bedding was gorgeous. we had a lovely shower room and there was plenty of room to relax of an evening. In 10 plus years of renting holiday cottages this is by far the best cottage we have ever stayed in, You could not ask for anything better, Polgooth is a great location to go places.

we had a fab meal in the old local pub as well. Apart from the lovely modern, clean and comfortable, light and airy two bed studio which we had. The views and gardens are beautiful to look out or sit out. The games room with a pool table which doubles to an ice puck game and there is a dart board, hot tub and exercise bike is a real bonus as well. we are in our 70s. we had a very special week holiday, enjoyed it so much. I have never been in a place that have ticked all my boxes, this place was the cleanest , comfiest and has every single households that needed.

The owners were so kind, respectful and friendly I felt I am among people I knew them for so long, I felt I am home in great location.

The hosts were really friendly who came to meet us upon arrival and show us around. Having the access to the pool and games room kept my children happy during our wet days. The hosts thought of everything in terms of things available. They even included dishwasher tablets. The fresh scones with cream and jam was a lovely touch too! The cottage is beautiful, clean and spacious. We were a family of 4, plus our puppy and we had plenty of room. Sky TV was a nice bonus too. We can't wait to come back and stay for longer. Thanks again for any amazing break.

Chapel Green is a fabulous place and Julia is the most welcoming host.

The cottage was perfect for our needs, my husband is in a wheelchair, however, there is a steep hill to the property so a manual chair would be out of the question for exploring the area. The cottage was clean, comfortable and peaceful and had everything you wanted for a home from home stay. The cottage is well placed for exploring, with good beaches only a short drive away. The additional amenities of the pool and games room really do make this a great place to stay. I highly recommend visiting The Polgooth Inn, the food is lovely and the staff are really friendly. Thank you Julia and David, we will be back!

My cousins and I sadly were only there for four days and would have loved to stay longer.

The warmth of the greeting we received on arrival was second to none. The facilities were fantastic, everywhere was beautifully clean and well maintained. There were also some lovely touches such as fresh milk and eggs in the fridge and a bottle of Prosecco. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone and will hope to go back. Everything was better than we expected (apart from the weather'''''') The owners Julia and Dave were a joy to meet a were extremely helpful.

My only criticism was the design of the Wet-room pump action centrifugal spinning floor mop which I thought was a novel and great idea but it is not not fast enough to be effective and not the owners fault either. Then there was the impossibility in getting a cab to take us to the Polgooth when it was RAINING. But to be be Fair it is too short a FARE to make it worth their while I suppose. Still I can't help wondering if they would show an interest and suddenly find an available cab if you were to say name your price, or they could impose some sort of surcharge for short runs at peak times as a minimum charge. To be honest, I would happily have paid an extra £5 or even £10 on a special family night out to save us all from a drenching from the Biblical downpours.. that would have had Noah heading for the hills. The steep driveway was not anything to worry about and became a bit of a chuckle after the first ascent / decent. btw there is hardly any phone signal so a good way to chat is via messenger or whatsapp but then I expect most people know that one already but I was a bit slow to suss that one out. All in all, none of that was Dave and Julia's fault and I've been rambling a bit now methinks, and have digressed from announcing most importantly that this was possibly one of the best retreats that we have spent our break in/at and wouldn't hesitate from recommending to my friends.

Julia and David were wonderful hosts they were so warm and welcoming nothing was too much trouble they made our stay very special with their generous hospitality and attention to detail.

Polgooth is a lovely village situated conveniently close to Charlestown, Truro, Mevagissy, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Falmouth and lots of great dog-friendly beaches.

Chapel Green is fantastic accommodation with the added bonus of a lovely pool and hot tub, games room and small gym which helped keep the teens entertained. David and Julia are lovely hosts, we were delighted to have Easter eggs and a bottle of Prosecco to welcome us and our dog was made to feel very welcome! Thank you! I’d really recommend Chapel Green to anyone!

) local shop is a walkable distance and really well stocked but the property has some essentials to start you off! owners are really knowledgeable and happy to point you in the right direction for eateries and days out. Overall a really really lovely place to stay.

We stayed in studio 2 recently and we’ve decided it was the best self catering cottage we’ve stayed in.

Julia and David were always helpful with any questions on the accommodation and gave us several recommendations for good beaches for children and dogs nearby. The pool and hot tub were lovely and maintained very well. The water in the hot tub is changed weekly. The whole holiday was perfect at Chapel Green. We would like to return one day. Our dog loved it too.

Only one word to describe our stay, ‘Perfection’, the property was ideal, everything you could want, description spot on, location great, will definitely be looking to return.

Great pub within walking distance. Particularly fantastic for children/teenagers due to the pool and games room, especially in wet weather! Welcoming hosts and refreshingly few 'rules', our son loved being able to swim at night!

Hate to give a good review for this cottage as more people will book it up leaving less opportunity for us to go back, however a great find, the cottage and facilities top class and the owners very friendly.

A last minute booking in March 2023 and we were fortunate to have the place to ourselves so made full use of the pool and Jacuzzi. The owners made us feel very welcome and informed us of local walks for our 2 dogs and local directions. A welcome pack (tea coffee, milk, etc) was also provided on arrival which was most unexpected but very appreciated. If you are looking for a comfortable and well kitted out base to explore Cornwall then you couldn't go wrong with this cottage, but please don't book leave it for us lol

Absolutely fantastic weekend away, everything you could need was there.

Plenty of space for ourselves and our two sprocker spaniels. Chapel Green was exceptionally clean and tidy. It was easy to find but my husband used to be a local boy,so was central for us to visit family and see a few sights.

Wow what a lovely holiday home exceeded are expectations!

The hosts were amazing lovely little welcome package for when we arrived and were very helpful! Great facilities were a very nice surprise heated indoor pool and jacuzzi. Also a games room and little gym. All set in beautiful surroundings! The pub down the road serves lovely food and you ain’t to far away from the town even though you wouldn’t think it when you open the curtains on a morning and are surrounded by fantastic views! The accommodation it’s self was more than you needed for a holiday genuinely could of stayed there for weeks the beds were super comfy and the hosts of thought of everything and more to ensure we had a great break! Will definitely be visiting again

A very nice, well located, property with excellent facilities.

This property is in a good location for exploring Cornwall, the owners are extremely pleasant and dog loving, it is very well kept.

Some great walking can be found here and a very good pub in the village. The walk around Dolmans point was amazing, the views and wildlife must be seen. Along the Cornish hedges mm! Just delightful.

A perfect home from home, very warm welcome from the hosts, with a very bountiful welcome pack awaiting in the fridge.

Accommodation was clean and spacious, the on site pool was an added bonus. Whilst NOT an issue for us, be warned that despite what O2s website claimed, neither of us had phone reception at the site, however the wifi provided worked well. There`s plenty to do in the area, we can highly recommend Healeys Cyder farm and Wheal Martyn china clay museum as well as the more `common` tourist spots! Would we stay there again, absolutely!

Overall we had a really great stay and the cottage and surrounding environment were excellent.

There were some minor niggles but many of these were personal preferences and do not reflect negatively on the property or the facilities. In no particular order these were: - o There was an issue with the booking and on arrival we were shown a 1 bed property rather than the 2 bed we had booked. There was an awkward few minutes when paperwork was frantically checked and this somewhat spoiled the commencement of our break. My suggestion with regard to this would be to have individual names for the properties rather than studio 1 & 2. o The property would be better served by removing some of the clutter and non-essentials from the kitchen and dining area. I know many people like to cook a lot whilst on a self catering vacation but for us there was just too much stuff in and around the kitchen. Possible an online checklist prior to arrival would allow the management to tailor the contents of the property to the needs of the guests. o The wet room - My issue is I just don't like wet rooms. The floor was never dry despite all the incessant mopping that had to be done every time the shower was used. The one real issue that we were OK with but should have been made aware of was the building work taking place on the site during the entirety of our stay. The builders were respectful and friendly and as quiet as they possibly could have been but we should have been informed that this work would be in progress.

Great location.

Hosts very friendly. The welcome with eggs, milk and Prosecco was appreciated. Spacious accommodation with good WiFi and sky TV. Dog friendly. Did I mention the swimming pool? That was great too!. We were also allowed to charge our electric car there which was fantastic. Just be aware of the right entrance ( you get used to it )

Studio 2 provided everything we needed for our stay.

Clean and comfortable - home from home. The pool was lovely and enjoyed every day. Ideal location for many Cornwall attractions. Polgooth Inn was walking distance. Great food and drink. Popular, so book.

Always available and helpful. The swimming pool was lovely and the accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Everything you needed. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to our friends.

Absolutely fabulous place.

lovely couple David and Julia could not have been friendlier and accommodation had EVERYTHING even sky sports. Comfortable beds,beautiful big gardens for the dog all mod cons.also some great walks nearby and smashing local pub. Cannot speak highly enough.superb value.intend to return with my mrs soon!

The apartment was very comfortable, clean and warm. The heated swimming pool was a real bonus and helped entertain our daughters during the inclement weather. Would definitely stay again.

Julia and David were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment is very well appointed and had everything we needed for a comfortable week’s stay. The central location is great for exploring both north and south coasts and we have already booked a return visit next year so that we can explore further south west.

Highly recommend this property is lovely as are the owners who can’t do enough for you.

Julia and David were both so friendly and helpful and put thought into making sure we had everything we needed and making us feel welcome. The cottage was absolutely beautiful. It was so cosy and clean and the wet room is amazing. Having the use of the pool is a great bonus and the gardens are so well maintained and full of beautiful flowers. We will definitely be booking again and have already recommended to family!

Such thoughtful hosts providing an array of useful extras, towels and bedding was pristine, as were the facilities, beautiful garden to walk around.

Great holiday accommodation/ Hospitality/Location

Wow, what a fantastic property, it exceeded our expectations.

The accommodation was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. The indoor pool area is lovely and if you don't want to swim there is ample seating to sit and read. The owners live on site and are extremely friendly and very helpful and what a lovely welcome with a bottle of wine, milk, eggs and chocolates in the fridge for our arrival. Would highly recommend this property and will certainly visit again!

The owners are so nice and chatty and super dog friendly.

Perfect holiday, beaches, golf, woodlands, historic places and famous attractions all nearby. Local restaurants are superb. Local dog friendly pub The Polgooth Inn is within walking distance of the property. If you get the chance to book Chapel Green, you will not be disappointed.

Polgooth is very central for you if you are planning to do some sightseeing.

and there are lots of places of interest to go and see. David and Julia who own the property go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and wanting for nothing. However their property is down a very steep slope, and if you intend to go up on foot you need to be reasonably fit. and you will find as you travel around Cornwall, that it is a very hilly area, and not very suitable for people with poor or disabled mobility.

Fabulous relaxing holiday in great home from home accommodation.

David and Julia were fantastic hosts who had thought of everything that we needed. The indoor heated pool was a great place to relax after a day round Cornwall. I would highly recommend Chapel Green. We will be back.

This was our second stay at Chapel Green, and we'd happily stay again.

The owners here are extremely friendly and welcoming, the property is gorgeous and a great base to explore Cornwall from. We especially love how close it is to the Eden Project. It was perfect for our two under 10s, and we were extremely happy to spend the hot summer evenings with the doors wide open and a glass of cold cider. I highly recommend it here.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location.

The owners were very welcoming and made sure there was everything that we needed plus a bit more. We took our elderly mother and she really enjoyed it too. Hopefully we will be returning next year.

What a wonderful cottage, best holiday in Cornwall I've ever had, and I've been holidaying there for over 20 years.

Julia and David are so welcoming, not just to us but my dogs too, they really are a wonderful couple. The cottage is stunning and the grounds outstanding. My mother of 84, myself and my dogs have had a really relaxing time and we are looking forward to seeing Julia and David next year.
