    “Had a lovely stay at Chapel Green Studio, Polgooth, Cornwall.”

    Great to meet David & Julia who were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. They made us feel at home and were quick to answer any questions. Surrounded by amazing countryside it was a very pleasant week for us and our two dogs The studio itself is a ground-floor, accessible 1-bedroom layout with a garden, off-road parking, washing machine, Wi‑Fi and Sky TV. It’s dog‑friendly, which was a big plus for us, and the garden provided a safe space for our dogs to relax and have a ...

It’s dog‑friendly, which was a big plus for us, and the garden provided a safe space for our dogs to relax and have a run around. We had the shared use of heated indoor pool and hot tub. The location is convenient, about 2 miles west of St Austell, with easy access to attractions like the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Porthpean Beach. Its a quiet location, great if you want a little get away from the hustle and bustle. The cottage was clean, warm, and well‑equipped with all the essentials we needed. Hosts even went the extra mile by providing milk, eggs, homemade scones, and even prosecco for our arrival. Overall, our stay was comfortable, relaxing, and perfect for a family or pet‑friendly holiday. We’d definitely recommend Chapel Green Studio for anyone looking for a welcoming, accessible, and well‑located base in Polgooth.

Mevagissey 5 miles; St. Mawes 18 miles; Truro 14 miles.

With its history rooted firmly in tin mining, the village of Polgooth is now a quiet settlement on the outskirts of St Austell, frequented by visitors enjoying the area's outstanding countryside. Just 3 miles from the sea, the village is close to several lovely beaches, and the south-west coastal path also runs close by. The area has a host of visitor attractions, with the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Tall Ships Harbour at Charlestown all within a 15 minute drive. The quaint fishing harbour at Mevagissey, with its passenger ferry across the bay to Fowey, is just 5 miles away, and the beautiful Roseland Peninsula with the villages of St. Mawes and St. Just-in-Roseland lies just a little further. Enjoy a coastal walk and take in the wonderful views, spend a day on the beach, or visit one of the numerous attractions close by. A fantastic location, any time of the year.
