The property

Positioned in the fishing village of Mevagissey, Cornwall is Sea View, a fabulous three-bedroom cottage.

Benefitting from stunning sea views and a prime position near the beach and a host of local amenities, Sea View is a wonderful base for a family getaway, accommodating six guests and two furry companions.

Park up to the roadside before entering the property, firstly reaching the open-plan living space, flooded with natural light and complete with homely interiors.

Rustle up meals in the well-equipped kitchen area, dine as a group around the six-seater table, or relax in front of the TV upon the plush seating on offer.

Head to the rear where you'll locate an enclosed patio area, ideal for an alfresco affair across the warmer months.

Return indoors to catch some rest, selecting between three well-appointed bedrooms; the twin and bunk rooms are located on the ground floor, serviced by a bathroom.

The final bedroom, home to a king-size bed and an en-suite is set on the first floor, enjoying elevated vistas of the shoreline.

Awaken to a stroll along the seafront, before exploring the village, starting off at Mevagissey Museum, and Mevagissey Harbour Wall, before following The Roseland Heritage Coast walking trail or heading further into the countryside to visit The Lost Gardens Heligan and its pretty blooms.

Return to the coast and enjoy a day at Porthpean Beach, head to the bustling port of Charlestown, or discover the Kidzworld Adventure Play to entertain the little ones of your party, before heading for the Eden Project and its magnificent botanical garden.

Complete your break in Truro with a stroll along the river, a tour of the cathedral and a guided visit to the Royal Cornwall Museum, before returning home for supper.

MEVAGISSEY

St. Austell 5.5 miles; Truro 16 miles.

The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September. Spend some time at the Tall Ships harbour at Charlestown (7 miles) with its shipwreck museum, or among the tropical biomes of the world-famous Eden Project (11 miles). The stunning coastline, fabulous beaches and renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula are a short drive down the coast while Truro, with its shops, restaurants, theatre and cathedral can be reached by car in half an hour.
