    “My family have been staying at this lovely cottage for many years now and we always have a lovely stay and we plan to continue coming please.”

    However certain things are getting quite shabby and feel must be replaced, to maintain standards, such as the L-shaped sofa which had a tear in it covered with a rather cheap throw. That sofa was new when we visited for the first time approximately 10 years ago. Also a request for more glass tumblers as they were in very short supply. Cleanliness was adequate but on inspection there had been no hoovering done for a while under the circular rug in the top bedroom and a brown stained skirting ...

    Hi Hugo Thank you for you continued support of Bolenowe. And thank you for your feedback. You are absolutely correct in all your comments. Over the winter we have plans to completely redecorate the house and upgrade a lot of the furnishings. In fact we have 2 new sofas on order to replace the old one, being delivered mid October. We are also going to replace the storage heaters. And improve the showers. We have also been very dissatisfied with the cleaning and have tried to rectify this with the current crew but to no avail. As of mid-October there will be a new team starting. We look forward to welcoming you again next year and again many thanks. Property Owner

The property

Bolenowe is a cottage based near the village of Polzeath in Cornwall.

It has three bedrooms comprising of a king size with an en-suite and two twins, there is also a family shower room, the cottage can sleep six people.

Also inside there is an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove, a children's room and a utility.

To the outside there is off road parking for two cars and a garden with a lawn area, a patio and a charcoal barbecue.

Bolenowe is a spacious cottage in an excellent location.

About the location

POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
