Bay View had everything we needed for a great holiday.

Beautifully decorated, lots of attention to the smallest detail, friendly owners and a beautiful view.

Lovely, comfortable house with fabulous sea views.

Our 4th time staying here and we will keep going back as long as we can. Property manager is an absolute star and will fix any small niggle ASAP. Such a peaceful retreat.

Just Perfect!

Bay View house is a beautiful, comfortable, well appointed house in a fabulous location, perfect for a winter getaway with family, friends and fur babies. We are frequent visitors to this stunning area of Cornwall, and can honestly say this has one of the best views you could ask for. The house is warm and welcoming, on arrival and was warm and comfortable throughout our stay which is important at this time of year, when a large portion of the evening is spent indoors. The furnishings are tasteful and in keeping with the property’s style and age. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Beds are all comfortable, hot water plentiful and the safe enclosed rear garden was perfect for the dogs. We have stayed in many houses and cottages throughout Cornwall with our dogs and can honestly say this is one of the most dog friendly places we’ve found, which is great as Crantock has one of the best beaches in the area and we found many lovely walks direct from the door. The owners live next door, but were not at all intrusive, on hand for any questions and very friendly but leaving us to enjoy the house and area. We will definitely be back, hopefully in the spring, if you will have us.

Bay View House is a wonderful property overlooking Crantock Bay.

It is in a perfect location for Crantock and Polly Joke beaches and within a walk of Crantock village and it's amenities. The house is very well appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It has an enclosed rear garden and a large front garden with fine views over the bay. Overall I would highly recommend this property both for its comfort and location.

The property exceeded our expectations and comfortably met all our needs.

The views were stunning and there was two beautiful beaches within walking distance and another couple of beaches only a short drive away.

Lovely house in a great location, well presented.

A couple of suggestions on how it might be made even better... 1) Make it more homely by hanging more pictures, wall clocks, etc. 2) Dimmable lighting, particularly in the living room where the only options are either dazzling brightness or a single corner spotlight. 3) Provide lower tog duvets for those hot summer nights. 4) an outside light in the enclosed garden area. Excellent house spacious and very clean.

Well maintained and feels like home from home. The view of the bay from the house is stunning and such a quiet location but close to a fantastic beach and nearby Bistro and pub both also with stunning views. House is ideal for dogs with an enclosed safe garden.

The house is pristine clean and beautifully decorated, it has everything you need. The dog enjoyed the safe enclosed garden a proper little suntrap. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

We stayed here in January 2025, the house and area was everything that we wished for, with dog accessible beaches and convenient for Newquay, Padstow and St Ives.

This is a perfect place to relax and unwind with spectacular sea views.

The cottage is extremely clean and comfortable with a secure garden to the rear which our dog enjoyed playing in. Although the owner is on hand should you need him we had all the privacy we needed and were very happy with our two week stay. We look forward to staying here again.

It is not a 5 minute walk to the beach, it’s closer to 20.

It is not pet friendly, more pet tolerant. Asking for extra payment per pet when booking and then asking people to hoover the house at the end of the holiday, leaving no trace of their pet makes me question what we paid the £40 for when we booked. Also, the Wi-Fi is terrible, it buffers all the time, even BBC iPlayer on the TV was unwatchable. The fact that you live in a house attached to this property should form part of the listing. We booked what looked like a detached home, in its own grounds, only to find it’s nothing of the sort. The main photo of the house in the property details is deceptive, it cuts the left off which is where the owners park their cars and walk past the windows of the house. The water situation is not acceptable, having to wait mid-shower, covered in soap and shampoo for the water to come back on because your home gets it first is really bad. The views are amazing but the large hedge means that you struggle to see anything when seated in the sitting room. It wasn’t as we expected in terms of distance to the beach (we ended up paying £10 per day to park there) and it didn’t offer the privacy I would expect from a house advertised as detached. I think more honesty is needed in the listing.

This is our second visit to Bay View House Crantock.

The house overlooks Crantock Bay and there are three pubs within walking distance. The house is super plenty of space two bathrooms, so very clean with an enclosed back garden and large front garden. The owners are friendly and quick to deal with the slightest of problems. I would highly recommend this property which is set is such a beautiful position with the coastal path within walking distance away.

We have already booked for next year. Location is perfect short walk into Crantock and the beach or a small drive into Newquay. Polly joke is just a step away, the house is perfect for families, everything is catered for you. Love this place

Stunning views of Crantock Bay, The Gannell and across to Constantine in the distance. Very cosy and warm. Extremely clean. The enclosed garden was great for the dog and very safe. Owners very kind and accommodating. Thank you we will be back.

An amazing house, felt really comfortable just like home.

Joe and Amy are brilliant, on hand if you need them. The location is superb, fantastic sea views , you can lie in bed, hear the sea and look out onto the sea and beach. Brilliant walks for our dogs on your doorstep, both beach and headland. Cannot recommend enough.

An excellent home from home holiday house with fantastic views and very well equipped.

A very warm house which was great as it was a little chilly at times. The house was very clean with good quality bedding and towels. The garden was ideal for the dogs. Definitely will be back.

You cannot fault the property in the slightest, only that you'll miss the views on returning home.

The house is comfy, warm and in perfect location. The family provide everything you need. The beds are so comfortable. It really is a home from home, booked for next year already... A beautiful place and so comfortable, thank you for allowing us to stay again.

Lovely views and spacious property.

The sofas were so very uncomfortable though. As we were staying out of season, we were not out and about much. The tv had only a free view box, where you would expect a smart tv these days, this was very disappointing. (DVD player, but no dvds) Lovely managers. Beds were comfortable. Would be useful to have a small shelf to put toiletries on in the en-suite. Bigger dining table, struggle to fit 5 with food on. It’s quite a small 6 seater.

We’ve been here many times before which is a testimont to such a beautiful house which feels more like home and in the most amazing location.

As this was a winter holiday the house was very warm and the kitchen very well equipped. The views are amazing and we cannot wait to return again in a few months time.

Excellent holiday home, clean and well equipped.

We will definitely be back. The only negative we have is the sofa's were a bit uncomfortable but apart from that our holiday was one of the best.

Beautiful house with amazing sea views.

The house is comfortable, clean and a pleasure to stay in. There is easy access to Crantock Beach and Polly Joke Beach and Crantock Village has 2 pubs and a quaint tea room. The Bowgie pub is within walking distance and you can eat your meal overlooking amazing views of the coast. Great walks from the house and the house is dog friendly. We would happily stay there again.

What a lovely house to stay in, fantastic views, comfortable beds, very well equipped, lovely walks and beaches right on the doorstep, the owner even gave us a call when the property was ready so we checked in a little earlier than expected.

LOVE THIS HOUSE, THE LOCATION AND THE VIEW IS GREAT, OWNERS WERE GREAT, WHEN I BOOKED PROPERTY THERE WERE DIFFERENT SOFAS IN THE LIVING ROOM THEY HAVE NOW BEEN CHANGED WE BOTH FOUND THEM REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE AND VERY LOW PICTURES NEED TO BE UPDATED, BEING A WINTER BOOKING YOU SPEND MORE TIME IN THE PROPERTY WE FOUND THAT WE WERE GOING TO BED REALLY EARLY AS WE WERE NOT COMFORTABLE IN THE EVENING!

Bay View House is a beautiful house in a stunning location.

Everything you need is provided and there is plenty of living space particularly on the ground floor which was great for five adults. The beds were all really comfortable too. The view from the lounge and, the two front bedrooms of the bay are fantastic. We visited in February and the house was lovely and warm and we used the log burners more for effect than because we needed the heat. Very friendly helpful owners, we are definitely planning to return.

We arrived just as storm Dennis was hitting land, so the views of the sea were amazing.

We were very cosy in Bay View House any time of day, and it was spacious and extremely clean. The whole experience was excellent, from booking, arrival and departure. A very satisfied family, thank you!

This is a wonderful dog friendly holiday home in an enviable position - all the comforts of home in a wonderful area.

Bay View House was close to perfect in every way.

The rooms were clean, well decorated and spacious. It had every facility including a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits. The owner lived next door and was very friendly. He made it clear he was available if needed but then kept out of our way whilst we were there - perfect combination! The views from the two main bedrooms and the lounge are breathtaking. A note about a recent review we saw which said that the heating was off during the main part of the day unless you made an additional payment. This was NOT the case when we stayed in February 2019, and the house was pleasantly warm throughout at all times, even without using the log burner provided in the lounge. Will be staying there in the future.

We’ve stayed here lots of times in the summer but in the winter it’s not good house very very cold spoke to owner who charged us more while we were there for having the heating on property is not cheap to rent and would expect to be albe to have heating on especially in the winter took my 80 year old mom who suffered due to the cold in the property very dissatisfied would not go there again

Brilliant holiday!

Booked through another company which then became part of Sykes, a few weeks before the holiday itself. I needed to contact Sykes to confirm everything was as originally booked (e.g. dog was still included, as not clear). This was an extra job I had not anticipated. It would have been ideal if Sykes had contacted me directly/personally about the booking and change of company.
