“On first impressions entering the accommodation it was lovely, but then I noticed some cleaning issues.”

Cooker hood was dusty and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a few weeks. Outside to front seating table was filthy and needed to be cleaned, decking hadn't been swept for what looked like weeks. There was a brown scum around the cooker hob which I had to clean. Dining room table was stickly so needed a good clean. The back where the hot tub was, was filthy; cobwebs, dust and falling pine needles all over the decking and chairs so that seemed like it hadn't been swept for weeks. The back windows ...

The back where the hot tub was, was filthy; cobwebs, dust and falling pine needles all over the decking and chairs so that seemed like it hadn't been swept for weeks. The back windows hadn't been cleaned properly. Carpets need a clean, which I'm guessing will be done 'out of season'. In the downstairs bathroom it would benefit greatly from a hand rail for those a bit unsteady on their feet - my elderly parents stayed in that room and I think that this has also been mentioned in a previous review. The accommodation is also at the top of a steep, unmade road, which made for some bumpy travel which I think needs to made clear in the description. The accommodation could be the 'full package' if the hygiene was better.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I am sorry to hear that the property was not presented to the standard you were expecting on arrival. Cleanliness is something we take very seriously, and it is disappointing to hear about the issues you encountered, both inside the property and in the outdoor areas. Had we been made aware of these concerns during your stay, we would have arranged for the relevant teams to attend and rectify the issues as quickly as possible to help improve your experience. We always encourage guests to contact us while they are in residence so that we have the opportunity to address any problems straight away. We also appreciate your comments regarding the downstairs bathroom and the access road. Feedback such as this is valuable, and we will ensure your observations are shared with the owner for their consideration. Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. We are pleased to hear that your first impression of the accommodation was positive, and we are sorry that the cleanliness issues detracted from your stay. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future. Property Owner
