All good and a very helpful owner

No wi fi, consequently tv wouldn't work properly.

Noticed previous guests have made same comment. Thought we were getting a linen change midway through our holidays, which we took to mean housekeepers would come in and make beds......that's the service we have had in every rental property we've stayed at over 45 years. Instead we just had a bag of bedding, towels etc dumped in the porch. So we were expected to make beds ourselves. Plus, dirty linen wasn't collected. When I queried this with the office, I was told that cleaners were not allowed to enter the property?! As it was a security issue. Do you employ untrustworthy staff then, because we've never heard of that excuse before. Anyway that was proved to be untrue, as the following day the cleaners did enter the property to collect the bag of linen. Moreover, we had not been notified that they were doing this so so much for a 'security issue'. If this is the second rate service your guests can expect, I think it needs to be made clear in the booking conditions.

No WiFi only a handful of crackling tv channels !

Reported and nothing sorted! Cleanliness not up to scratch I had to buy cleaning materials ! Parking difficult as people from Chinese next door blocking an other resident driveway so we could not park in garage, on a few occasions and they got angry when we tried to explain !!! Second visit we loved it last time but will look to visit somewhere else next time .

This was our third stay at the property (we remember using it when it was a a functioning shop and post office!

). We find it ideal for our requirements - good location, well appointed accommodation and car parking, a real bonus in Porthleven. The property has everything required for a comfortable stay. When we arrived, we found that the toilet handbasin did not drain as the flip top plug was stuck. We reported it immediately (second contact number on the property literature as the number in the property file had us on hold for a few minutes) and was told someone would come out on Monday. They didn't. We rang the other number on Wednesday and were told a maintenance team would arrive the next day. Again, they didn't. A minor inconvenience but disappointing nevertheless.

Beautiful space, very comfortable with everything we needed inside.

We had higher expectations of the ‘courtyard’ space outside but otherwise, couldn’t fault the property. I would love to return and highly recommend.

Die Heizung sieht aus wie ein Bild und kann selber eingestellt werden. Anfangs hatten wir Mühe mit der Bedienung, aber mit der Zeit ging es immer besser. Unsere Kids hatten genügend Auswahl an Spielsachen. Sie waren begeistert. Die Ausstattung war genial. Das Häuschen ist sehr toll eingerichtet und bietet alles an Komfort. Wir fanden es etwas schade, dass einfache Gewürze wie Salz und Pfeffer nicht bereitgestellt wurden. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben.

We enjoyed our stay and the location was very convenient for walking the coast path, the bus stop and local shops/restaurants.

The car port was very welcome, though it was very tight to get in and out of the car and through the door to the little courtyard. At the time of our stay (March) the courtyard was unwelcoming. There was a lot of moss here and on the steps up to the front door which could have been swept. The toaster was not functioning properly and we had a bit of trouble with the heating settings. Having said all that we had a very comfortable stay and would consider booking again. I enjoyed the free standing bath, the shower was good and the beds very comfortable. The apartment was well equipped and the books / games were a welcome addition. Our only other slight niggle was that the living area windows were very large and the blinds did not make for a cosy feel. Curtains would have transformed this space.

Lovely property, good directions for parking and accessing the property.

Great bedding and comfy beds. Plenty of hot water for bath’s and showers. The main oven within the cooker was not working right - the electric tripped and Skyes responded immediately and sent someone out and then the next day someone to fix the oven, sadly the oven only worked for a day and then stopped working again but we managed with the smaller oven. It was a well equipped letting that was very clean and that offered comfort and we would return.

Our second visit to Rock Pool house and we thorough enjoyed our stay in Porthleven.

The location is perfect and of course the parking a real bonus. The beds, bedding, towels etc all good quality. The heating is very effective and there was plenty of hot water. The heating instructions for the lounge don’t work, but I googled it and manage to override it when necessary. The main oven was temperamental, it didn’t always heat up despite the clock being set. We reported this in October ‘23 and it still hadn’t been sorted. The toaster could do with an update too. Also the tv in the lounge is a right pain if you are trying to watch ordinary tv, we were forever moving that silly aerial around. On the whole though Rock Pool is very comfortable and we will come back.

we didn’t use the utilities in the apartment as it was only a short stay. But it was comfortable and we had a lovely time thank you.

So convenient for local restaurants and pubs and easy access further afield ! Everything we needed just wish the weather was a bit kinder !

Heating and TV are a bit of a pain, heated mirror in shower room not working and a couple of the pans needed cleaning , other wise all good ,must be as we have stayed at Rock Pool House 4 times now.

Rock Pool House is beautifully decorated and equipped.

Everything you need is available. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The beds are very comfortable. It’s in a great location and the parking space is an added bonus Porthlevan was quiet when we were there as it was November but, I know parking is very difficult in the summer. The only two slightly less than perfect features were that the heating can be tricky to control and that the main oven wasn’t working. These wouldn’t stop us staying again or recommending the apartment as it is a really great little find.

We had such a wonderful time.

Porthleven is beautiful and central to so many other great places. Rock pool house was clean, spacious and perfect with our 4 year old daughter. We will be returning.

Parking a definite advantage and only a short stroll to the harbour.

Close to all restaurants and bars. Apartment is fitted out to a high standard and all the equipment you could want is available. Nice touch with the welcome pack

The photograph of the outside area was misleading.

The outside area and steps definitely need a clean. The downstairs bathroom requires a fan to clear the steam when showering. A fan would reduce the build up of mould on the grout. The location was perfect and I would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone.

Welcome pack was a nice surprise. No complaints at all everything as it should be.

We had a lovely stay, the property is clean and comfortable.

It is has has been decorated to a nice standard and has everything you need, including a good range of kitchen utensils for longer stays. It is conveniently located and Porthleven is a lovely village to stay in with plenty of eateries, a good atmosphere and nice walks. I would note that I think it would be easier if the door from the car port into the property opened into the yard rather than into your car - makes for a tight entrance at the minute and would be easy to accidentally damage the side of your car. The TV in the lounge was very intermittent (we didn’t use the other tvs) this could have been the internet but that seemed fine on other devices.

Really nicely presented holiday home with good sized bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen.

Only thing it would have been good to have was a shower head for the bath so its easier to wash your hair. Otherwise, it was perfect for our stay.

We absolutely love Porthleven and have stayed in a few places there over the years.

This was definitely one of the top ones!! Very comfortable and spacious. Ideal for when our grown up children come and stay as we have our own privacy on the second floor. If I were to have a niggle about anything it would be nice to have a blind at the kitchen window but small detail really.

Rockpool House really is the perfect place to stay in Porthleven, absolutely and perfectly well placed, spotlessly clean and so comfortable.

The decor is wonderful and the overall space quirky and roomy. We being a family of 5 plus our dog loved it here and would 100% come back again, highly recommended for anyone wishing to take in the friendly people and atmosphere on Porthleven. The only downside is we had to leave after a fantastic and relaxing week

This deceptively spacious property is ideally situated for exploring Porthleven and the private parking is a huge bonus.

We had used the property several years ago when it was a functioning shop and post office so knew its location when we booked. Rock Pool House was warm, the beds very comfortable and we had everything we required for a great holiday. The layout of the toilet, shower and bathroom made it perfect for two holidaying couples. We couldn't get the oven/grill to work (didn't need it as there are so many lovely places to eat) and the electric blew when we first turned it on. This was only a minor issue and easily sorted - the fuse box is in the pan cupboard! There is plenty of crockery available and an eco friendly cleaning pack was provided, along with milk and biscuits. We found this to be an excellent property and would visit again

Excellent apartment.

Great location, very nicely furnished, comfortable, clean, a good heating system, good parking, had everything we needed. Will return and would recommend.

The parking is only suitable for a medium/small car and only then if the Chinese don’t block the way.

The electrics keep tripping out leaving a reset on the oven and the tv is operated by the internet…..also kept dropping out. The positives are that it’s convenient for the harbour and that it is well furnished.

The outside area was disappointing as it had been advertised as a ‘terrace’ when it was just a table and chairs at the bottom of some steps.

The property was not as clean as it should be. There was sand which had not been swept away under a mat and the games cupboard under the stairs was thick with dust. Had the impression the house had been given a quick wipe over between guests. Very comfortable property, kitchen well equipped and very comfortable beds, lovely bathroom. We would stay here again but the cleaning and terrace were the only negatives.

Very good, maybe chuck in a few fans for the hot weather.

Brilliant location for exploring porthleven which we adored! The apartment was spacious and so beautifully done! Could not have asked for more!! We will definitely be back

Great place so good we are going again in October

Although everything in the property was of a high standard we found it odd that we had no control of the heating.

We being in our 70s could not work the Smart T.V's other than B.B.C. There were programmes on I.T.V. that we would have liked but they were not available. Not of this would deter us from staying at Rock Pool House in the future.

The property is lovely and truly comfy but there are a couple of things which could do with looking at.

The heating is very complicated and it looked like the thermostats were locked and so couldn't actually turn the heating on. We did use the log burner a lot which was very handy. The cooker didn't work and when we tried to turn it on then it would trip the electrics which wasn't helpful when we were trying to cook. There is one window in the dining area which doesn't close properly so it does let a draft and noise in. Although we got the TVs to work it is very much a pain to log into the players when you don't have accounts for these things. I think older people would struggle with this. Also, while we understand the time of year but the stairs leading up to the apartment could have been swept as there was a lot of moss balls on the steps and the little courtyard which made things a little slippy. These are the things that made me give 4 stars, otherwise the stay was lovely.

The only downside was the tv, there were 4 in the property but all were “smart” TVs so you could not get live tv to see the news.

The broadband could not sustain the TVs so we had no reception for the first 2 days until we realised what the problem was and turned off the 3 bedroom TVs. This did rather spoil our enjoyment of what was otherwise a very comfortable and ideally placed apartment.

Beautifully equipped apartment, all beds extremely comfortable!

The very short stroll to the harbour where all the restaurants, pubs and amenities are located was an absolute bonus. The local supermarket is literally a stones throw away! Porthleven is not too busy but there’s enough places to eat and things to do! A great staycation!

This place was fabulous!

As a family of 5 we were more than catered for from this property. It seemed like it was just renovated and we loved the newness of it. Not promoted enough. Such a joy to have luxury, clean, comfortable and pet friendly accommodation with little details of games and consumables to add to the experience. The off street parking was also a handy and welcome extra we didn’t expect. I hope future guests give it the care the owners obviously have. All in all 10/10. Well done

It was a lovely place to stay everything is fantastic.

Only thing I would recommend is the blind on the front door other then that everything was amazing. The property is well presented and well maintained.
