The property was nice and functional and had everything we needed.

A couple of small issues with the bin being full and not emptied even though we put it out as per the instructions. A nice place to stay generally and would stay again if we come to St Ives again. The neighbours on the left were very welcoming and assisted with the parking.

We walked in and the property smelt and looked clean and fresh , it had all we needed in there , myself and my family had a very comfortable happy stay .

Great location, has everything you need for a family holiday.

We had a lovely short break in St Ives.

It’s one of our favourite places. Rosewall Cottage was in an excellent location a short walk from the town. The house had everything you needed. The small garden was great for the dog and although a little chilly when we were there is a real suntrap. It’s great to have parking outside the house. In the past we’ve had to pay for a carpark. Beds were comfortable and decor modern and clean. Would definitely recommend.

Nice house in a really good location - 5 mins walk to centre of town.

Kitchen is really well equipped, sofas and bed (in main bedroom - only us as a couple staying) super comfy. Lounge nice and cosy. We had a problem with the shower not draining first day but owner was super quick to respond and sort so really good. The outside space could do with some real tlc - maybe some plants and lights that work, a sweep up and general tidy. The parking space is very tight as mentioned - but we got our estate in it - just! Mainly because the neighbours kindly moved their car back for us. The slope on the way into the road though is not good for low cars - it’s doable but with care! Overall we had a nice stay and had what we needed to be comfortable. Some tlc here and there could really elevate the house to be more special but would recommend it for a stay in St Ives.

Well located at St Ives!

Good spot for mooching down the hill into St Ives for everything, scenic views along the walk into town in all directions. Harbour and train station 10mins walk, (scenic rail to St Erth great for vistas and photos), plenty of pubs and cafes and eateries and shops nearby. We also drove to Penzance, 20 mins, Padstow, 1 hour, Port Isaac, 1.5 hrs. Roads great and people friendly. House is roomy tho chilly due to thick walls and granite wall literally outside back door. Some damp remedies in place but expected due to age and location. Dogs are allowed (thank you! Freddie the BT had a lovely time) so there is some expected residual mustiness. Bathroom tiles/grouting/door frames/skirting etc need a steam clean from all the letting use and the kitchen and some trays and utensils need a good steam clean for hygiene. Windows and outside spaces need a tidy and clean up. Otherwise this is a perfect spot for families to explore from and is good value. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend to others wanting a break in St Ives. Thank you

Cottage has all the amenities you need and is a nice cottage, however a couple of small points would raise its cleanliness and maintenance rating, it would have been top marks for the listing if it hadn't been for :- * 2 x old towels and a pair of socks from a previous occupant found under the bed * sweet wrappers under the sofa (dog tried frantically to get at them) * extractor fan in kitchen window dismantled leaving holes for draft * All de-humidifiers are full of water and need changing.

Very comfortable house, especially the sofas, lovely to have the little terrace garden to sit in.

Liked the range of Cornish themed art works in the property.

Had a great time at rosewall Cottage.

The house was lovely large bedrooms with loads of storage. The garden was secure for the dog, a well equipped kitchen, I have a large suv and managed to park at the front of the house without any difficulty and the neighbours were really pleasant I will definitely be coming back

Lovely, well equipped cottage in a great location.

Bathrooms are modern and well equipped and the kitchen has everything you need including a washer/dryer. There is a slight musty smell although there are measures to help with this. There are a few areas that need a little bit of attention, carpet worn in bedroom and decorating in places needs touching up but absolutely nothing that worried us during our stay. It felt comfortable and cosy and was less than 10 minutes walk to the beaches and harbour with all the restaurants and shops. We didn't have any issues with the parking.

Great dog-friendly property very close to the heart of st Ives.

We had everything we needed for our stay, the only issue we had was that the dishwasher would not close properly, was not much of an issue as we ate out most of the time as there are plenty of restaurants to try in St Ives & just hand washed the things that we used. Very comfortable beds, we all had excellent sleep the whole week we stayed and having TV’s in 2 of the bedrooms was great. Overall we would highly recommend this property & if we ever visit St Ives again we will be rebooking.

Good location, easy walk into town and great that you can park outside as we had a baby with lots of stuff in the car!

The initial property we booked was cancelled with just a few weeks notice, and there was little left within our price range for the area we had booked to stay which left us with limited options.

This property is a nice location, only a ten minute walk from St Ives town centre and a five minute walk to a local Co-Op store. The house is well equipped in some areas. The kitchen has good appliances and plenty of cutlery and crockery, as well as a Nespresso coffee machine with some pods. There is also a washing machine and dishwasher. There are some towels for use, though I recommend taking your own as they are only smaller hand towels and wash cloths. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of storage space. There is a small outdoor area which is useful for pets, and would be nice in the summer months. The furniture is comfortable, and the property is well decorated throughout. There are some areas of the property which I feel should be better advertised or require improvement. Though parking is advertised, it is a very narrow side street and parking as close as possible to the property on the pavement. We had a larger car and had a ticket left on it by the refuse men that despite our best efforts, they couldn't get past. Other cars also use this road and it is very tight so a high risk of damage to your car. There is a car park a few minutes walk away but costs £16 for 24 hours. Despite the cost we opted to park here rather than outside the property. There is a television in the living room but has no aerial signal, and limited online apps available via a Now box which all require extra cost and are seemingly logged into the owners accounts which feels invasive when trying to use online apps. Some areas of the property have lovely touches, such as the pictures and prints around the house. But there are some areas which are clearly not well looked after. The tap on the kitchen falls off, the dishwasher rocks around as it is too small for the space it is plumbed in, and there are drafts from the windows which are older designs. The bin outside is also screwed shut so you cannot throw rubbish away properly, and due to the wind we didn't want to just leave it there incase of it blowing away, which meant we had to store bags of rubbish in the kitchen until we checked out. There is an upstairs bathroom with a very small shower cubicle, but there is a downstairs bathroom with a bath and larger shower area. Also quite bizarrely on the morning of our checkout as we were cleaning the property, we heard drilling sounds from the side of the house. Someone had appeared and then disappeared without calling in. It was only evident as we were about to check out that they had removed the lock box on where to place the keys without telling us, so without any information, we locked up and posted the keys back through the letterbox. Overall the property is a lovely location, and has some nice personal touches, and is well equipped. But there are some areas which require improvement, and the ability to park should be clearly marked that larger cars would not be able to safely use this facility.
