“Property was comfortable and spotlessly clean.”

A little difficult to find initially, very tight parking especially when next door parked two cars. Overall a lovely stay in St Ives

The property

Situated in the holiday hot-spot of St Ives, The Beach Hut is less than a five minute stroll down the hill to Porthmeor Beach, famous for its surfing and the Tate Gallery.

This modern duplex apartment with a private parking space is tucked away from the main thorough fare yet boasts captivating views from the open-plan living room over the rooftops and St Ives iconic coastline towards Godrevy Lighthouse and as far as St Agnes and Newquay on a clear day.

Behind an unassuming exterior is a modern interior that is abundantly proportioned for two.

The ground-level private entrance leads to a hall with ample storage for surf boards.

Located on the ground-floor is a lovely bedroom equipped with a king size bed and served by the bathroom, also located on the ground floor, with a spiral staircase connecting to the first-floor open-plan living room.

The large bay window with coastal views is the focal point of the living room and after dark, couples can cosy-up on the plump sofa next to the contemporary wall-mounted electric fire.

Whilst the off-road parking space is a godsend for self-drive guests, the car is not essential with St Ives train station (connecting to main line) nearby. St Ives offers something for everyone; wandering along the ancient cobbled streets you will find numerous shops, art galleries and award-winning restaurants.

The tiny harbour beach is dotted with places to sit and enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine whilst watching the colourful boats bobbing in the quay.

There are four white sandy beaches within walking distance including the world-class, award-winning beaches at Porthminster and Porthmeor. Taking a trip on one of the pleasure boats from the harbour is a great way of exploring the amazing coastline.

Alternatively, driving west on the coast road, voted Britain's most scenic stretch of coastline, will transport you to surfy Sennen, legendary Lands End and the incredible Minack Theatre with its dramatic backdrop of sea and sky creating a magical scene – but be sure to book ahead as it is very popular!

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

About the location

ST IVES

Penzance 6 miles.

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort. The surrounding area has much for the visitor to see and do with abundant wildlife, fabulous coastal walks, top quality surfing and the Celtic mysteries of the Land's End Peninsula are all within easy reach. A superb destination!

Note: An Engineer will be visiting the property on Friday 11th December 2020 between 1-6pm in order to install WiFi. WiFi is not available before this date.
